Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 Wow, another group of people completely DON'T get ICP. Considering there are HUNDREDS of rappers worse than ICP in terms of flow, production, and lyrical content on MTV and the radio each day, I'd hardly consider ICP the worst. Blender...fitting name, since the mag seems to only be good for putting into a blender...
Henry Spencer 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 First of all, who's better? Jaco Pastorious, and arguably Chuck Mingus.
Henry Spencer 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 And I'm no ICP fan, but they're hardly the worst artists ever. They're perfectly harmless, and even sometimes guiltily enjoyable the majoraty of the time, except when they try to get socially conscious, ala "Terrible". Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 ICP doesn't have to be good for you to listen to them, that's not the point, which makes them somewhat unique. I'm sure they'd be honored to top this list. Their mild attempt to sell out and ridiculous "Follow God" message was pretty bad though.
Guest Kid Kablam Report post Posted August 14, 2003 Look, the fact that they put the Doors on the list kinda denies them any credibility. I'm under no false impression, the Doors aren't exactly Led Zep, but they don't belong on the list. And what the fuck is Gypsy King doing on the list. Do they have any, ya know.... evidence, or reason beind their choices?
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 No, The Doors are an incredibly overrated act with boring and pretentious music. And saying that they're no Led Zeppelin is actually a COMPLIMENT.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 Doors are overrated, but they're still a very good group. not one of the worst ever
Henry Spencer 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 No, The Doors are an incredibly overrated act with boring and pretentious music I completely agree. The Doors didn't do a single thing that The Velvet Underground didn't do before, and much better. Jim Morrison being a complete looney doesn't make them good. If you want an example of what the Doors would sound like if they didn't suck, get Patti Smith's album Horses.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 1. Insane Clown Posse 3. Michael Bolton 4. Kenny G 8. Vanilla Ice 15. Yanni 17. Benzino 9. Lee Greenwood 25. Jamiroquai 26. Celine Dion 36. 98 Degrees 48. Master P Thank you whoever made this list! Awe, no Ja Rule though? 13. Mick Jagger 23. Creed 35. Paul Oakenfold 37. The Doors 47. Goo Goo Dolls And fuck you whoever made this list!
Addy 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 This is ICP's response: Honestly, how much do these 12-year vets-of-the-game have to accomplish to get recognized by mainstream media? They've got 2 Platinum Records, 4 Gold Records, 1 Gold Home Video (from their own feature-length movie Big Money Hustlas), another Gold DVD right around the corner (Bootlegged in LA), their own merchandise line (HatchetGear), their own record label (Psychopathic Records) with offices in the USA and Europe, an annual fan convention (The Gathering of the Juggalos), the #2 wrestling league (JCW), an upcoming video game (Backyard Wrestling), their own comic book series, and, of course, legions of dedicated, diehard, worldwide fans (The Juggalos). They've brought themselves up from nothing to become an international musical phenomena, and yet, somehow, they still get no respect from fine mainstream publications such as Blender Magazine. Not too bad for the worst band ever, eh? So, once again, Insane Clown Posse retains their title as the most player-hated band in the world! Entertaining Fact: Somehow, a review on Blender's website gave The Wraith 3-Stars (which means "Great in its genre" according to their rating system). Impressive, for the "worst album" from the "worst band." I like ICP.

justsoyouknow 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2003 Kansas? Manowar? The Doors? ....Dust in the Wind is an awesome song! Every time my friends and I get drunk, someone inevitably starts singing this song, and it fucking spreads like wildfire. And Manowar? How can they say Manowar is one of the worst bands ever? Real men play on ten! And the Doors are great to listen to when you're tripping. That is all.
Guest ian. Report post Posted August 15, 2003 bleh, i dont understand why they put blind melon on that list. they were a talented band.
Kardo 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2003 What on Earth is wrong with Kenny G. Song bird is one of my favourite songs to put on when I'm relaxing at home.
Guest Kid Kablam Report post Posted August 15, 2003 No, The Doors are an incredibly overrated act with boring and pretentious music. And saying that they're no Led Zeppelin is actually a COMPLIMENT. I can buy that they're overrated, I mean they had plenty of bad songs, but they don't royally suck. I enjoy most of the stuff I've heard from them, and yes, they are pretentious, but so are many other musicians.
Dogbert 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2003 Celine Dion is a horrendous singer. Her laughably over the top howling makes bile rise in my throat. She's also one of the creepiest people I've ever seen. She might have a voice, but she has absolutely no idea what to do with it other than make really cheesy and terrible "diva" music. Spoken, I'm guessing, by someone who's never heard anything from Celine that was before Titanic?
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2003 Why the Goo Goo Dolls? Am I missing something here?
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2003 Cause "Iris" was a big lovey hit...no more reason then that really. Like I said, I normally like Blender, but sometimes they do stuff like this for their own amusement rather then cause it's accurate.
Henry Spencer 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2003 I don't like The Goo Goo Dolls, but it's more because they're just generic and forgettable. They definetly aren't amoung the fifty worst ever.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted August 21, 2003 BTW: How can someone like Benzino be on the list when he started not that long ago. What, Nov, Dec, Jan his album came out. So it is retarded to add him. November ? December ? You do realize that Benzino has been around for a couple of years, right ?
spiny norman 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2003 Why is Billy Ray Cyrus not on the list? That alone makes this idiotic.
Guest Nanks Report post Posted August 21, 2003 Live??? You fucking moron. Who the fuck wrote this tripe?? How in lord's name could anyone put Live anywhere near a list of ALL-TIME worst bands, let alone any kind of worst band list??? Throwing Copper is one of the best albums of the 90s and Live are one of the better live acts I've seen. I'd love to hear his arguments for this one
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted August 21, 2003 First of all, who's better? Jaco Pastorious, and arguably Chuck Mingus. Jaco Pastorious and Victor Wooten are the only two people who I would say have a case, but Les does more than them, and uses techniques that I've NEVER heard from anyone else. He can slap, finger pick, tap solo, flamenco pick, jam on chords...so much more versatile than anyone else. His riffs are catchy as all hell, and are well-written and put together. I can't put anyone ahead of Claypool in good conscience.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2003 25. Jamiroquai Oh, and fuck this, Jamiroquai rocks your balls. GAAAAAAAAAH Coldplay should be no.1, and they ain't far behind. Maybe Alien Ant Farm in between, but Jamiroquai is criminal.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2003 And when they refer to Starship, is it just as Starship or are we taking into account the Jefferson Airplane years as well? (I disagree with them being that high too, but this is why I don't do these lists myself.) Oh I bet they were high all right
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2003 No, The Doors are an incredibly overrated act with boring and pretentious music. And saying that they're no Led Zeppelin is actually a COMPLIMENT. Led Zeppelin is a thousand times better than any metal band out right now.
Guest Ray Report post Posted August 23, 2003 These lists are silly. I think a good band like Creed is put on there by elitists who don't like the fact that they're so popular, and their favorite little "indy" band isn't.
