To confusing That's strange. I was just watching one of the videos, and you can definitely hear the ref count the pinfall. Maybe they took it out or something.

Also from what I have seen, pics from the game, the graphics for some of the wrestlers are horrid, I mean Triple H looks exactly like Val Venis. And from what I read, this game has some terrible storyline bugs. For an overall wrestling game this sucks, but for wrestling matches this game might be good/great, haven't played it yet.

Here I go again: I said from what has been reported about the game, the game has tons of flaws so it cannot be great overall. However I heard this game has good/great gameplay, so that is a plus. Solid game top to bottom? That is what has been said but it is simply not true. When there are tons of flaws, it is not a solid game top to bottom.

Â But I'm psyched, and for the legends, I may just decide to d/l all of the old school themes, burn them to a cd, then mute the tv and play the songs on a cd player. So it's all good.

Â I look forward to doing exhibition matches and figuring out the new controls, then kicking some ass in Season.

Here I my impressions.  The Submission meter fucking rules.  The grappling system is MUCH improved over the usual smackdown engine.  Falling from high places (or missing too many high flying moves moves) will make you weaker  You can't get cheap victories using the taunt against the computer anymore.  The EC is great, you can climb each individual chamber and pull off high flying moves.  The lyrics version of Evolution's theme is in.  I believe this had beaten No Mercy as the best game yet.

Triple H looks like SHIT in the game, I have seen a closeup photo of him from the game and he looks like Val Venis, which is ridiculous. There is no entrance music for the legends, another fact, and this is completely unacceptable. And there are huge logic flaws in the storyline system which were mentioned in the ps2.ign.com review. The ps2.ign.com review also mentions clipping problems, which is another flaw in the game. I just hope that when a wrestler is in the process of doing a move on another wrestler, you can hit the wrestler who is doing the move onto the other wrestler and he will sell it. This has never been done before in the Smackdown series I believe and if it isn't done here, it is a huge flaw that kills the gameplay. Edited October 28, 2003 by thrall585

Smackdown: SYM had a lot of problems but guess what, so did No Mercy and every other damn game made and to ever be made. Â Yeah I would have liked music for legends but will it take away any enjoyment from me, no, because many, myself included, skip music and entrances after the first week anyway. When you get the game and are open to any intellegent conversation, as opposed to nitpicking and mindless bitching, post all you want, I won't give a crap then.

However when I play the game I can see even more for myself, the pros and cons of the game. Huge logic flaws in season mode is a BIG flaw and its sad that all the wrestling games have had them. You can hear all about the HCTP storyline logic flaws on the ps2.ign.com review. Entrance music for the old time wrestlers should be there because many people want to see it. Please stop with the stupid comments, you are making a joke out of yourself.

Without you I might have bought this game and have been entertained, noticeing the faults of the game on my own. Now I know that it's a bad game even thought the reviews have been all great and I and many others have enjoyed the previous games. You are such a brilliant individual to know, even with out playing, what we will like. Thank you.
