Ted the Poster Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 There's no Vader Bomb in the game. I used a powerbomb and top rope moonsault as his finishers instead.
Guest Coffey Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 I just gave him the premade moveset. I have no problem with him using his goozles as finishers.
Aero Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 I'm using the premade moveset, 54, but I made a few changes here and there. So, for his specials, I'm using Powerbomb 15 (I think) and Moonsault.
Guest Askewniverse Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 You could use Headscissor Takedown (I think that's the name) for the Vader Bomb. Matt Hardy and Eddie Guerrero have it in their movesets (unless you changed it). It's a standing aerial move, but if you do it to a fallen opponent, it could pass for the Vader Bomb.
Guest Coffey Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 Yeah, but it won't pin. It looks really bad.... Truthfully, I really don't know why BANZAI Drop 2 wasn't the Vader Bomb....
Rendclaw Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 I just used the nastiest-looking powerbomb and gave it to him, along with the slowest moonsault. I used his default moveset but modified it heavily based off of the squash match with Tom Zenk and the match I have against Sting, along with a few strictly power moves. Out of curiosity, how did you guys do his stats?
Guest Coffey Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 All 10's. All of my CAW's have perfect stats.
Nighthawk Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 I used to have a caw of myself with all 10s, but I got bored because it was too easy. I have Vader at 10s in strength and endurance, 5 in speed, 6 in submission and 7 in technique. It was just copied from Hogan and I raised the speed a little, so it probably could be better.
Zack Malibu Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 I've just started finding time to work on CAW's. I did Rene Dupree last night, and he looks OK enough. I'll still probably fine tune him a bit.
Nighthawk Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 I tried Shut Your Mouth recently and made Lyger in the half red half blue outfit. I thought I'd say it because I was very impressed with myself.
Guest Trivia247 Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 I tried Shut Your Mouth recently and made Lyger in the half red half blue outfit. I thought I'd say it because I was very impressed with myself. SYM definately have a good CAW program. The HCTP one is also pretty good just here and there is a little frustrating. Like the body hair bit in the last game you can manually add each set of hair arms stomach chest back etc. and you could change the color. Now its just a BODY and you can't modify it too much because you also change the color of the skin in the process.
Nighthawk Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 For the sake of nothing better to do, have a look at this classic Sting. That's gotta be one of the best caws I've seen for this game.
Molotov The Bear Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 Does anyone have/know where I can find a Petey Williams CAW? I'm trying to build an all TNA roster. I have Teddy hart and Jack Evans, I just need Petey to finish Team canada.
Guest Trivia247 Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 very cool Classic sting, pity I can't read Japanese code script or i'd bookmark that site
Rendclaw Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 My Vader has a 10 Strength, 8 Submission, 9.5 Endurance, 8 Tech, and 7 Speed. He's damned formidable, and I love beating the hell out of opponents with him.
notJames Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I noticed that RVD is the only character who can kick a chair into an opponent's face. Let me clarify: normally, when a character wields a chair, running and then attacking results in hitting the character over the head with it. But RVD runs with the chair and then dropkicks it into the opponent, like in real life. I tried to figure out if it was some combination of moves that let a CAW perform the same trick, but the only way I've been able to do it is if I create a new character, give him RVD's moveset, and then adjust the other moves accordingly. And so far, it hasn't affected the CAW's ability to do the chair dropkick. I assume this goes for UT's zombie sit-up as well. Anybody know of any other moves/nuances that are strictly tied into the other characters?
Nighthawk Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 It has to do with his fighting stance. RVD's stance will give you the chair dropkick, as well as a slingshot leg drop on the apron. I think I mentioned how to do that before, but you have to whip your opponent into the ring when you're standing right next to it, and their head will be sticking out over the side. Press O and any direction to do it. That same thing with the Undertaker 1 stance will do his apron leg drop. The stances also affect the way you sell strikes, Brock's basically no sells everything, Jericho hops around comically, Mysterio adjusts the mask, etc. A couple more hidden moves: If you have swanton 2 as a finisher, an up or down grapple on top of a ladder will result in you pushing your opponent off, doing a different, extended taunt, and swantoning onto them. If you have Walls of Jericho 1 for a finish, you can do that on the ladder in the same way. If you have the 619, you can do a manual 619. If they're leaning against the ropes, run at them and press X by itself to do it, it's the best way to set up the springboard leg drop. Oh, and the zombie situp can't be done by anyone except old school UT, no matter what you do.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 when you pick what type of wrestler your guy is (Brawler, Striker, etc) does that make any difference or what?
Nighthawk Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 That only really matters if the computer is controlling them. It just represents the type of moves they'll go for most. Oh, and I thought of another character nuance, for Angle and Benoit, but anyone with the Crossface or Anglelock can do it. If Angle catches the leg when he reverses a kick, he can go directly into the Anklelock. The computer will do it, and the finisher icon will flash for a second if you're controlling him. Benoit can do the same thing by catching a punch, but that's harder because it has to be a lefthanded punch.
notJames Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Yeah, I noticed that with my Ken Shamrock CAW. Any time I block a kick, I can transition straight into the anklelock, although I prefer his Special Anklelock, which starts out as an armbar, then he rolls into the anklelock. That gets an automatic tap out 9 times out of 10 if there's sufficient leg damage. No need to button mash or anything to get the submission. I noticed the same thing with the the Trailerhitch. Once you lock it on, your opponent more often than not taps out immediately. And thanks for the tips on the stances, IDRM. I will definitely be doing some tweaking on my CAWS tonight!
Only The Strong Survive Posted June 12, 2004 Report Posted June 12, 2004 So... uh... Shawn Michaels jumped from Raw to Smackdown! to jopin my stable during that angle, and now he's won the Cruiserweight title... It never even dawned on me that Shawn is a cruiserweight. Are there any other wrestlers in the game that aren't really billed as cruisers in the real WWE and yet fit in that division in the game? (RVD and Eddie G immediately come to mind, so besides them)
Guest Trivia247 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 How about the moves the game STILL Elects not to add... When I make Tully Blanchard im gonna get some half ass Suplex, because they don't have a Slingshot Suplex! And why do we have to use the Papa Shango like Power Shoulderbreaker, what happen to the classic Shoulderbreaker? Give All the damn submission moves the Tap out meter damn it..... Figure fours don't get a tap out meter??? My greg valentine has to do that like three times after in ring psychology of wearing the legs down to red.
notJames Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 ...Are there any other wrestlers in the game that aren't really billed as cruisers in the real WWE and yet fit in that division in the game? (RVD and Eddie G immediately come to mind, so besides them) Rico, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas are the only ones that spring to mind. It sucks when I have to use them and then they can't do something simple like suplex Nash.
Only The Strong Survive Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 (edited) I have the WWE Tag Team titles with my CAW and Undertaker, but we can't lose them because right now Taker and I are fueding for the WWE Championship. (I'm the champ right now, and our title match is scheduled for WMXIX) I'm going to lose the title, but I also want to lose the tag team belts so I can jump to Raw. How should I go about getting rid of these belts? Edited June 14, 2004 by Only The Strong Survive
King Cucaracha Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Randy Orton's my Cruiserweight Champ right now.
Guest Coffey Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 So, we're listing our champions now? RAW World Champion: The Rock World Tag Team Champions: Shawn Michaels & Kevin Nash Intercontinental Champion: Goldberg Hardcore Champion: Christian (I still don't know why this belt is even in the fucking game. Yet, the women's title isn't...and you can select most of the women.) Smackdown WWE Champion: Undertaker (new school) WWE U.S. Champion: Kurt Angle WWE Tag Team Champions: Big Show & A-Train WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Shelton Benjamin This is what happens when you play through a lot of seasons and skip all the matches that aren't yours.
Mystery Eskimo Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 I've played about four or five seasons on my game, carrying over stats, and Benoit and Angle have been Smackdown tag champs since more or less the beginning. Something like 30 or 40 succesfull defences.
Anakin Flair Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 How about the moves the game STILL Elects not to add...
