CC needs everyone's help to determine the nominations for the Best Promo Award. Please post your ideas to this topic. Please only post new ideas...do not validate or "second" someone else's choices...this isn't a vote. Please post a reason for your nomination, and if you can, give the name of the promo and who wrote it...if not, give a description of it.

Well, I'm not sure if CC is supposed to be nominating here or what, but I wanted to mention Z's minor epic, The Luvin' Spoonful, a January venture that took him like a week or something to write. It is the lost Carnie epic, one of the last high points of the stable before it melted. Too bad he and Kibs never really got the feud going as well as they wanted, but still: grand promo, insanely funny, and good with characters to boot. YOU JUST WANTED THE NARRATION TO STOP YELLING, MY BAD indeed.

Dammit Outcast.

Back to actual SWF promos.

I think ELM's farewell promo is fairly significant, and Flesher's King's Road promos were notable as well.

Cast I read it. But why get invested in it, we all know the girls die in the end ;) As great a promo as ever though. And now that we've established that...

Speaking of retirement promos 'In the fade' by Edwin MacPhisto was beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best promo of the year, if it counts. Which it should.

For the record...

The cycle is 2 weeks before Genesis III to a week ago. You'll have to do the match to figure out if a promo or match fits that range, but if it's in there, then it can be nominated.

In that case, why even nominate anything?

"In the Fade" wins. :D

But actually, there were a LOT of retirement promos right after Genesis, and I remember Raynor's being very funny, and Wilson's being pretty good too. Oh, and I second the Zed one that ended with the A-Team-esque golf cart escape.
