WWE Banning Even More Moves

Recommended Posts

Guest Maccam16

No one move is any more dangerous than the next, as long as you take it properly. Sure theres a higher risk of danger with neck drop moves etc... but again if you don't sell the move like a complete douche or make a mistake in a similar fashion, you should be good to go.

How the hell can Japanese and Mexican wrestelrs do all sorts of moves miles above the WWE but seemingly not suffer as many inuries?

When you have high muscle mass and look like Trips, Steiner, Batista you lose a lot of flexibility. Also when you get to a certain point it's a strain on your body.

If you ever watch one of those contests where the guys are just ripped. Know that if you see them out of contest season and your going to see someone fairly chubby and not so ripped. Also note guys in strong man contests where flexibility and stuff is needed that they are not ripped what so ever.

100% correct. Think of a person's muscles as a rope attached at both ends to a crank. When a person works out it's like turning the crank at both ends. Eventually the rope just can't get any tighter and there is 0 flexibility left. The slightest little jostle on way or another is going to snap the rope (muscle).

Damn, no more belly-to-belly suplex for Steiner. And is this what Vince means by working the "wwe style"?

Who's getting hurt w/ belly-to-belly suplexes?  Sure, Benoit landed wrong last week, but has anybody else gotten hurt from taking one lately?

1 wont end you career.

1000 might.

But there's only a handful of people that use belly-to-belly's.

Angle

Steiner

Brock

Haas

Rock (not around now)

Anyone else? There not used all that often on TV (can't speak for house shows).

Instead of banning wrestling moves, Vince should ban steroids and other mass building supplements that kill off any flexibility. Hell ban half the main eventers that can't execute wrestling moves other than kick, punch, signature move, pin.

Who cares about doing suplexes, actual wrestling moves and executing other impressive feats of athleticism that people might enjoy?

It's all about PACING and TELLING A STORY IN THE RING.

This ain't ballet, bah gawd.

I'm telling you.

It's all about the body.

a guy shaped like Steiner, Brock or Trips are far more likely to gte injured on a basic move than a guy like Jericho, RVD or Hurricane are on harder moves.

To be fair, Brock has not been a problem with injuries because he possesses the sack to work around them.

Yah, when Brock tears an acl or quad from doing his little joggy-jump to the ring apron, his upper body physique will not look so impressive.

That's true...but he has had a lot of injuries in a short time.

He's just tough. No one denies that.

Yes, and "working through injuries" or working despite being injured, does not mean he is not getting injured. I'd imagine all these nagging injuries that he is ignoring right now will lead to bigger injuries down the road.

That's unfair. I've read plenty of video game instruction manuals that were very entertaining.

Well, look on the bright side. At least there will be less moves for JR to screw up while he's announcing.

And damn, good thing WCW didn't follow this policy while it was around years ago. If the Sidewalk Slam was ever banned, Tony Schiavone would have been LOST.

Again, take a look at who reported this. I don't trust 1wrestling.com with any WWE stories. A certain fat, bald headed guy that works for another is half owner of the site. All they do is make things seem like they're as negative as possible for WWE. There's often times similar types of issues with these other promotiona and they're never reported. I mean just look at the post talking about Edge's recent WWE.com column. He wasn't actually trying to say what they are implying.

I agree.

How anybody can not take Bob Ryder's news on WWE with a grain of salt is beyond me. He is a competitor and has an agenda. I never read the Edge article, but I always get a kick out of the ratings reports when they consistently include the "this isn't good for WWE" or "this can only be seen as a negative for Vince." Sure, 3.0's don't look too good in comparison to ratings of the past, but leave the opinions up to Vince ... or the readers.

Ah damn, now whats Steiner gonna do? Just stand there and look like a jackass?

Ah, the more things change, the more..

nevermind.

Chinlock, headlock, armbar, which leads to the Steiner Recliner, now thats PSYCOLOGY FOLKS!

Or that oh so exciting Angleslam of his with the 2 minute setup or that Flatliner move of his.

Wow, wrestling is gonna look even more fake now.

Fan: Wooo! Steiner, suplex his ass.

Steiner: But I can't! It might hurt him!

Of course this is just a story. No fan would ever cheer for Scott Steiner.

Gay.. horrible rule.

The reason alot of people are getting hurt IMO is because of Tables, and Chairs. There is at least 3 chair shots every show, and almost 1 person going through a table every raw.

But Hell, Spike Dudley got dropped on his neck from the inside of the ring out, and he wasnt bitchin like HHH did when he hurt his foot or whatever the hell he's complaining about.

It might also just be a coincidence, alot of the wrestlers who are getting hurt have been wrestling for a long time and its proven that after a long period of time falling on your back, and shit like that, your body is gonna start to ache and you will get hurt more often.

Why don't they ban Shane McMahon from killing people???

hmm????

hmmm????

HMMMM????

You gonna tell Shane to stop attempting homicide?

He'll KILL you for that kind of thing.

-=Mike

...Shane could win UFC, if he decided to do that, as he calls it, "pussy crap"

But yeah, I agree with everyone else who's taking this with a grain of salt. I think there will be certain boundaries, as I can't see them not allowing Steiner to use the belly-to-belly.

I'll believe it when I see it.
