Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Is it just me or do most of the Yankees not even look disappointed, more just like an oh well ho hum type of reaction. They were "oh, ho hum" all series.

Tony149 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Beckett was one fire tonight. NY had their chances but couldn't buy a hit off of him. The Marlins owner may be an asshole, but I'm happy for the players and Jack. Now the real fun begins -- who gets canned by George.
Mik 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Josh Beckett is going into the 2004 season as the number one most talked about pitcher in all of baseball... know that.

FUCK THE ABORTION.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Get Jeff Weaver the fuck off my team right now. While we're at it. Aaron fucking Boone and his 80 errors and .1-something batting average can get out of my sight. And I don't want to get rid of Soriano, but do SOMETHING with him. Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Dump the whole team and show me people who don't fucking fold under pressure.

Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 This is worse then last year. And the only way this could be worse, for me at least, is if the people celebrating were wearing Boston uniforms. I think I would seriously consider sliting my wrists if that happened.
Mik 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Let me just repeat what I'm feeling right now..... WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! And to everyoen else...I fucking' hate Jeff Loria too.

Weaver...failed, and this is his fault. Torre...failed. Steinbrenner...failed. New York Yankees...failed. Rivera didn't fail. He did his fucking job when asked. Unfortuanately, it was deemed smarter to ask Weaver or Hammond. Matsui, Jeter and Bernie tried their damndest, but all that deadweight was so much to carry. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Good to see McKeon shoved back in line. Not like they owe him their souls or anything.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Is Weaver going to go down as the biggest Yankee bust acquisition ever? I don't know. Jay Witasick lost the 2001 series for the Yanks by blowing Game 6 in the biggest way possible. Weaver was a failure coming in, a failure during the season, and a failure especially during the playoffs, specifially Game 4. Who knows. But Jeff Weaver is officially on my list of people that I will kill if I see them and gladly go to jail over. And I'm not joking around either. I'm dead serious. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Yeah, but with Weaver weren't they expecting their ace of the future, once Clemens and Wells are gone?

Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted October 26, 2003 1. Anyone who would love to say the Yankee's lost it rather than saying the Marlins won it, shame on you. The Marlkins were a better team this year, and I'll be the first to say it god damnit. 2. I feel like hugging a Red Sox and Cub fan right now out of a combination of isolation and togetherness. 3. FUUCKSHITCOCKSUCKINGPUSSYUKLCKINGB?ANANAFUCKERS!!!!!1 ARGH!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111 We'll get 'em next year.....
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Yeah, but with Weaver weren't they expecting their ace of the future, once Clemens and Wells are gone? I can't see them letting weaver go with potentially 3 empty spots in their rotation (Clemens, Wells and Maybe Pettite if he goes..)

And Sandman, I'll be your getaway driver for the Weaver mission. Don't need a driver. I'll just calmly put the axe down to his severed head, drop to my knees, and place my hands behind my head. Well, It was boone that got you there but I believe that was really Ruth's doing...just to keep the whole B thing going and Aaron was the only one who fit the bill. Bored 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Well good to see the A's played a part in the Yankees downfall...after all it was Billy Beane who wanted Ted Lilly and to get Ted Lilly he got the Tigers in a three-way deal in which Yankees got Jeff Weaver. Billy Beane really is a genius. Oh and boo hoo about them losing...omg they still only have 26 World Championships.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Yeah, but with Weaver weren't they expecting their ace of the future, once Clemens and Wells are gone? I can't see them letting weaver go with potentially 3 empty spots in their rotation (Clemens, Wells and Maybe Pettite if he goes..) He can't handle the pressure of New York in the regular season. EVERY MOTHERFUCKING PERSON ALIVE knew that Torre couldn't trust Weaver with the ball in the playoffs and World Series, even Torre himself, and yet Weaver still pitched Game 4 and lost. The thing (I refuse to acknowledge him as a human being) cannot stand under pressure. Ship his ass off to Iraq and give me someone who doesn't fold when things matter the most. I can't see them letting weaver go with potentially 3 empty spots in their rotation (Clemens, Wells and Maybe Pettite if he goes..) Mik 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2003 Just because.... WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Like I said earlier, this is 100X better than 97. I have never been happier as a sports fan. 150-1 odds at the beginning of the year. I only wish I dropped a hundy on them. I could use the 15,000.
