razazteca 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2004 Mark Cuban's Blog It was a long night for me. I guess I have to apologize to all Mavs fans for last night’s game. I took the Hawks too lightly. I thought I could prove to myself that superstitions are ridiculous. I thought of any game, this was the game where I didn’t have to wear the right shirt. I didn’t have to stop at 7-Eleven and get my two sugar-free Red Bulls and Diet Mountain Dew. I tried to right the wrong at halftime when we were way down by changing shirts. It wasn’t enough. It was a tough lesson, but I learned once again to never underestimate an NBA opponent. If one didn't know better, you'd think he was a player. Cuban is real the coach not the Nelsons. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2004 Well fuck. Pacers lose a tough one to Sac 94-92, thanks to Bibby's 20-footer with 1.2 left and no TOs for the Pacers. We led by double digits up until mid third quarter, and, as usual, blew the lead. We should just start spotting the other teams points, and we'd probably play better. We played awesome, and while I feel Artest's suspension was bullshit, this loss can't be blamed on that. My seat was great, maybe the best I've ever had for a Pacer game. It was in the balcony, but there were no idiots jumping in my way like at Market Square.

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2004 Picked him up a few days ago for a two-week contract. Sounds like a loophole deal to me. I must ask: who at ESPN has a hard-on for the Golden State Warriors? They've had two Friday night games in the last several weeks and they're really just an average team. King Kamala 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2004 I really don't know but ESPN rarely shows several teams I really want to see, like the Nuggets (They're on TV now and then) and The Miami Heat (Now they're never on TV). We must crack this mystery on who's the Golden State Warriors mark in the ESPN programming department.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2004 We must crack this mystery on who's the Golden State Warriors mark in the ESPN programming department. Yes. We figured out that Darren Pang is getting the Hawks on TV no matter how stripped-down and crappy they've become...is Chris Mullin on payroll?
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2004 Well I did see him on an episode of NBA Inside Stuff with Ahmad Rashad a few months back talking about his career....hmmmm...... Mugsy Bogues played for the Warriors for a few years, maybe he was getting tired of the short end of the stick. Wait isn't Tim Hardaway somewhere on the payroll at ESPN? I think I've cracked the case.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2004 Funniest dumbassed moment of the week... NJ celebrating like they just won after losing by 18 points to the Pistons!!! Why were they celebrating? Because they scored 71 points and broke the 5-game streak of holding teams under 70 points while winning by the Pistons. even larry brown was laughing

alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 Boy, it's nice to know a GM's got your back when you're in a feud with your coach, huh? Iverson's already getting away with murder in Philly, hopefully this won't become a trend, much less one continued by a ROOKIE. He should remember that Larry Brown passed up on him before he refuses to play again.

Tom Tolbert did a little spiel with a little video package about how embarassing it was this weekend. I laughed my ass off watching him talk about it. Gert T 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 So ESPN was talking about it today, so I'll ask, who is getting the #8 seed in the West, (Utah 36-34), (Denver 37-35) OR Portland (35-35)? One streak is going to end for sure and possibly both postseason streaks. Right now I really think it could be a toss-up, and I'd say Portland right now, but really its anybody's game. Ripper 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 They aren't exactly great with AI. Huge game tonight. Spurs vs T-Wolves. IMO...this game will determine the Midwest champion. Well, if the management keeps going with the "trade everyone possible in the offseason" theory, then they will continue to suck.

One streak is going to end for sure and possibly both postseason streaks. Right now I really think it could be a toss-up, and I'd say Portland right now, but really its anybody's game. Who has the longest playoff streak in the NBA? Is it Utah or Portland? I know they're both up there but I doubt the Lakers have missed lately. Anyhow I think the Jazz make it in at crunch time. If the Nuggets make it in and take out both streaks, it'll be sad to see them go, because over in hockey the St. Louis Blues's reign of terror seems to be winding down at 25. Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted March 24, 2004 I think that even though it lacks any logic what so ever, the Jazz will somehow get in. They'll give Sacramento problems too, namely because the Kings have pretty much been "eh" since Webber came back.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 YAY JAMAAL MAGLOIRE! Magloire beats the Pistons at the buzzer, snapping the 8-game win streak. Our magic number to clinch the division is down to 5. I say Portland gets the last playoff spot.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2004 Who has the longest playoff streak in the NBA? Is it Utah or Portland? I know they're both up there but I doubt the Lakers have missed lately. Portland is the longest with 21 straight appearances, 1 ahead of Utah's 20 straight and 1 short of tying the all-time record of 22 by Syracuse/Philadelphia. After them the next longest streak is 9 by the Lakers, soon to be 10 straight. As a Portland fan i hope they can sneak into the playoffs to tie the record, but the way all three teams are going up and down who knows, i'd probably lean towards the Jazz at this point in time. Who would have thought going into the season that Portland's 3rd last game of the season vs. Denver would have serious playoff implications. Looking at Portland's season they've beaten the Kings three times and the T-Wolves three times, any team that can play like that against the best teams in the league shouldn't be fighting an uphill battle to just barely scrape into the playoffs. Oh well, with Randolph, Ratliff, Abdur-Rahim and friends all together with for a full year, i guess they can get started on another 20+ year playoff streak next season after they blow it this year (and with their last game of the year against the Lakers, it's just setting it up nicely for them to screw up like in a certain Western Conference Finals Game 7 from not too long ago). razazteca 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2004 Local San Antonio news are reporting that Tim Duncan might not play in the up coming Athens Olympics for Team USA due to his current problems with his knees. So who are going to be the big men for the olympic team if Shaq and Duncan will not play? Has Ben Wallace been offered a spot yet? Outside of KG and Ben Wallace what are the options for the Power Forward/Center spot on the team?
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2004 my gawd, this outright bias laker-friendly officiating is fucking sickening. How is Gary Payton allowed to curse in the officials face and the ref "walks it off" yet Webber gets two words out and is T'd up. Or the fact that Bryant is basically allowed to plow down Bibby.....eh fuck it, it is regular season.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted March 25, 2004 The Kings really need to stop trying to run stuff through Webber. The guy is moving like Robert Parrish in his last season for God's sakes. well I think they are looking at the big picture though. Webber at 100% for the playoffs or at least from the 2nd round on, is worth 5-7 more regular season losses, IMO. Of course NO ONE will beat the Lakers in LA if tonight is any indication of the favortism they are going to recieve come playoff time.

Plus I swear after every foul call the Lakers players were in the ref's faces yelling and cursing, yet no Techs, however the minute Webber speaks or Bibby of all people.....*whistle*

It was pretty obvious from the whistle that the Lakers were playing with a purpose and brought their A+ game, and even if the Kings were playing well it would have been tough. However I just don't to hear all the Lakers camp(players & fans) pretend that this game magically matters more then the other two regular season games.
