razazteca Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I vote for Manu Ginobili for Most Improved Player of the Year!
A Happy Medium Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Am I missing something? Anyway, my Mavericks are looking like complete shit. Walker drove me crazy tonite with his ten turnovers. They should've just gotten an inside guy in the offseason, but no, we had to get more offense and rely on only Eddy Najera to be a role player. Everyone else just has to be the hero.
razazteca Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 You're missing the game of the year!
razazteca Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Karl Malone and Rasho Nesterovic fouled out in the 2nd OT.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Ok, now its the game of the year.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Looks like Kobe's a rapist AND a traveller.
razazteca Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Robert Horry tied the game with a 3 after Shaq missed 2 FTs.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Kobe just took about 4 steps, no call.. Lakers pretty much have the last shot..
Cartman Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Malik Rose also fouled out in the 2nd OT... This game is awesome!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Hmm.. Spurs still have a chance to tie. 1/3 fts with a chance to lock the game up = not too good.
razazteca Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Well the Spurs did not go down fighting.
Tony149 Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 What a game. The funny thing is even though the Spurs lost they got a morale victory. The Lakers were supposed to run all over the Spurs, without Duncan or Parker, but couldn't. I think this shows the Spurs are better than some people (coughESPNcough) give them credit for.
razazteca Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Everybody thought it was going to be 100-80 type of game.
Tony149 Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Well the Spurs did not go down fighting. I assume you're talking about KEVIN WILLIS taking the 3. I question Kev's decision but they went double OT, and one loss doesn't hurt. As a Spurs fan, I appreciate their effort, including LA, even though they should of (and many people said they would) blown SA out of the water. This firms my belief the Westeren Con. Finals will be Spurs/Lakers. What a game!
Kurt Angle Mark Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 What a game!!! I can handle the lose because I know that the Lakers didn't beat the Spurs, the refs beat the Spurs. Horrible calls all game long.
Guest Redhawk Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 1. Nice shot by Karl Malone at the end of regulation. Now I didn't watch a whole lot of Jazz games when I was younger, but has Karl EVER hit a game-winning shot? 2. Why Kevin Willis took SA's last shot I'll never know.
Vern Gagne Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Willis had no business being in the game at that point. How in the holy hell is Shane Heal in the NBA. I remember him on the Wolves, and the guy couldn't even get open to make a 3. Know he plays for the defending World Champs.
alfdogg Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Rick Carlisle said they should make the rim bigger to increase scoring. .............. No, I'm not joking.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I think Jason Hart got himself 10 years of steady work last night.
razazteca Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 can handle the lose because I know that the Lakers didn't beat the Spurs, the refs beat the Spurs. Horrible calls all game long 1. Malone getting a cheap tech foul call because Rose was the last one to push back. Karl started it! The refs should of ignored it or done a double tech. 2. Kobe traveling 3. Shaq being a Hoss think Jason Hart got himself 10 years of steady work last night. If Hart does not stay with the team for the whole season I will be surprised.
alfdogg Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 Ahem... The Pacers improved to 4-1 beating Jersey in the early game. Anthony Johnson and Fred Jones are doing great, as Jamaal Tinsley's minutes dwindle by the day...
Spicy McHaggis Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I can handle the lose because I know that the Lakers didn't beat the Spurs, the refs beat the Spurs. Horrible calls all game long. For God sake... Please hold off on blaming the refs till the Spurs lose in the playoffs. The refs suck on both sides of the ball. The secret to increasing scoring is to call every foul and rule violation. If every touch foul is consistently whistled, the players will adjust. It'll take a season of extremely long games, but it'll work and offense will come back. For those deluding themselves about Shaq's ability and footwork, he would DOMINATE in a style like that, 50 points a game easily. That's why the NBA won't change until he retires.
Steviekick Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 1. Nice shot by Karl Malone at the end of regulation. Now I didn't watch a whole lot of Jazz games when I was younger, but has Karl EVER hit a game-winning shot? 2. Why Kevin Willis took SA's last shot I'll never know. 1. A couple, but nothing memorable sticks out. I think 3-4 seasons he had a game winning 4 pt. play against Phoenix, but that's all I can remember. 2. That's what I was thinking. Completely ridoinculous.
Tony149 Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 I haven't seen the local news (live in SA) so I don't know what was said about Willis taking the last shot. But I honestly think that wasn't the played called; Willis shot the thing at his own free will, probably thinking he had little time left. IIRC, he may have had enough time to make one more pass. I shudder to think the kind of calls that will be made during the playoffs.
