Renegade 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2003 When I mean classic I dont mean a Sonic or Zelda sort of classic, I mean a title that gradually faded away from the public eye. I was going through my Megadrive (yes because the genesis was a retarded name) carts and I dusted off my copy of Earthworm Jim. After giving it another whirl I remembered just how awesome this game is. Vivid colors, superb animation, good challenge and not to mention one of the most humorous titles of the 16 bit era. {''({o..o})''} 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2003 Would Shining Force count? Because of the systems the games were released on, they just kinda fell into the background after part 2.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2003 I always like playing Snow Brothers on GENS.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2003 Chrono Trigger count? I played that for the first time not too long ago. Great game.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2003 Mutant League Hockey on Genesis... so much fun to slam guys into a spike on the side walls Quarterback Club 96 for SNES ... winning games by 100+ points was fun...
El Psycho Diablo 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2003 Mutant League Hockey on Genesis... so much fun to slam guys into a spike on the side walls I loved that game. Too bad EA's slidden into mediocrity since then. My brother and I would never actually win the game normally..just force the other team to forfeit because we'd kill all of their players. My favorite: The Demon Net!

JHawk 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2003 I second Shining Force. That was a kickass series. Better than the early Final Fantasies for sure. But then it simply disappeared

DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2003 - the Streets of Rage series - Ristar (it's on, I believe, the Sonic Mega Collection) - Beyond Oasis/Legend of Oasis - Vectorman (there was supposed to be a PS2 sequel, but it was cancelled) - the Mutant League series And who remembers the Cool Spot game? Pretty good game for a corporate mascot.
Guest Smues Report post Posted November 7, 2003 Crystalis for NES. One of my all time favorite games, but no sequels kind of made it get forgotten. Gameboy color port was the only life it ever saw past the original and that was TERRIBLE thanks 100% in part to the music changing. Ewwww(shudder) that was a BAD port. Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted November 7, 2003 I never got to play Boogerman. My parents refused to buy me a game that was built around flatulants and mucus...they didn't mind killing games though. Zombies Ate My Neighbors was rocking
Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2003 Zombies Ate My Neighbors was rocking One of my top three or five multi-player non-sports games, of all time. If I had someone here with me right now and they wanted to play, I'd be up for it. I'm always up to play that game.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted November 7, 2003 I still have an SNES in the bottom dresser drawer, thing is the control is broken and the AF switch is fucked too. The system itself works fine as I tried out one of my cousins games on it, but I can't complain having bought it for $5 at a yard sale...I'll just invest another $5 into getting it up and running sometime. Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted November 7, 2003 I have the first 2 Shining Force games on the comp...gotta love Emulators. I do have to say that the third installment was a major flop as for some reason they decided to fuck the US installment by leaving out 2 discs. (If you remember there was 3 main characters...in Japan each one got a disc and at the end they all came together) I'm hoping perhaps Sega will remake the 3rd one and release it on a new gen system
