Guest StevieNightHeat Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 I was thinking, wouldn't it be perfect for Mortis to make his debut at Survivor Series? instead of having Stephanie interfere in the match, why not have Mortis interfere? since Undertaker is returning to his "deadman" gimmick, it would be a perfect time for Mortis to debut. Have the lights go out during the Vince/Undertaker match at SS and let Mortis bury Undertaker alive. Then this would start a fued between Mortis/Undertaker. And since Undertaker is going back to his "deadman" gimmick, he would need another evil persona to fued with. And who betta than Mortis? I know this would never happen. Anyway, would this be a good idea? would it work?
Lightning Flik Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Good idea, meh... There are better ones. Like having Kane being the guy that helps Vince. Or just having some superstar that is known currently and could use a title push. AS for would it work, with the way the WWE is booking things, I doubt that. They'd botch it faster than any spot botched.
Lil' Bitch Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 I'm still puzzled why they haven't debut Mortis on TV. It was reported they were going to drop the idea, which is why Kanyon has been wrestling as himself on Velocity lately, but then again, Mortis beat a jobber a week ago at a house show dark match.

Anyway, would this be a good idea? would it work? ...Because that's what WWE needs right now... a Mortis-Undertaker feud! I heard they dropped the Mortis gimmick too, yet in the newest WWE magazine (or it might be Raw), they have a small article on Mortis returning. It says something like, "Longtime fans may remember Mortis from WCW..." and it ends with, "No one know's who's behind the mask!" Wasn't it common knowledge, even to the casual mark, in WCW that Mortis was Kanyon, when he switched gimmicks?
tpww7 Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 At Slamboree 98, Mortis unmasked as Kanyon in the cage match with DDP-Raven and he was called Kanyon. I think it was obvious....

Just because that's how it was THEN doesn't mean that's how it's going to be NOW. They could put someone else under the Mortis mask.
Silence Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 They could put someone else under the Mortis mask. Yeah, like Stephanie McMahon, unfortunately.
Vyce Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 As much as I'd like to see Mortis / Kanyon get a big push, if they're going ahead with the rumored Undertaker / Kane match at Mania (with Taker taking a couple months off then returning to his "Deadman" gimmick), having Kane be the one who helps Vince makes the most sense.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 They could put someone else under the Mortis mask. Yeah, like Stephanie McMahon, unfortunately. Stephanie McMortis

Boner Kawanger Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Eww...I mean, the last time the Undertaker and Kanyon had feud...
MooreMark Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Eww...I mean, the last time the Undertaker and Kanyon had feud... That feud lead to Undertaker's dogfaced monster of a wife to grace herself on TV.
The Kid Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Guys, is it even proven that Taker is going back to the Deadman gimmick?
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 *remembers last time Kanyon was in the same ring with Taker* *remembers Taker and Kane squashing Kanyon and DDP*
ChrisMWaters Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Um, last time Taker was in the ring with Taker, Kanyon was Boy George, remember?
Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Um, last time Taker was in the ring with Taker, Kanyon was Boy George, remember? I remember Leslie Nielson being there for the last Taker vs Taker thing, but no Mortis <neenervoice> Youuuu made a typo, and Iiiiiiiii exposed it </neenervoice>

HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Well, either way, Taker kills Kanyon.
Guest TNARICK Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Did you think up that idea by yourself? I have to admit its pretty good.
2GOLD Posted November 10, 2003 Report Posted November 10, 2003 I'd rather see Mortis/Taker than Kane/Taker. God, I still have nightmares about that boring Taker/Kane Wrestlemania match. Since we know whoever Taker fights at Wrestlemania is losing anyway, why put Kane in the feud? Plus, doesn't Kane helping Vince mean either Kane or Taker would have to transfer programs? Unless maybe the trade is Matt Hardy for Kane, which would make sense. I don't know, it just seems Kane is a horrible wrestler on PPV and big man vs big man feuds seem to almost always turn into stinkers.
