DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 Statement #1: Rob Van Dam is the greatest athlete never to hold a World Championship. Angle: True. I think Chris Benoit is the greatest wrestler never to hold a World Championship. But if you’re talking about overall athlete, I would say RVD is Nash: False. I think Scott Hall is better than he is. And he’s way bigger. And better looking. Statement #2: Ric Flair is the greatest World Champion of all time. Angle: True. No doubt about it. No ifs, ands or buts Nash: True. Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler of all time. Statement #3: The Rock has won his last World Championship. Angle: False. The Rock will win many more championships. The Rock isn’t done here. I don’t believe that for a second. Nash: True. Unless he wins one in a movie. (Laughs) Statement #4: Maven has the brightest career out of any of the Tough Enough graduates. Angle: True. Maven has proven himself and I think he will continue to prove himself and be a key player in WWE. Nash: False. I heard Nidia’s going to be doing porn. (Laughs) Statement #5: J'Lo and Ben will never make it to the altar. Angle: False. They will make it to the alter but they will also end up in court for a divorce. Nash: Who cares? I can't tell if Nash was joking or being serious with the first question.

Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted November 14, 2003 I wouldn't say Hall is a better ATHLETE than RVD, but he's a better wrestler. I'm sure he's serious about that. The other stuff is obviously joking.

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 Hey, I was a huge Razor Ramon mark in the 90s. But Scott Hall made me embarassed to mark for his return in 2002. RVD may be getting sloppier and less motivated, but I'd much prefer a match with him than Hall. This is from the 'new' commentary section at WWE.com (The BackDoor)
Guest Fook Report post Posted November 14, 2003 I actually agree with Nash's answers over Angle's.
Guest Ray Report post Posted November 14, 2003 Angle: True. I think Chris Benoit is the greatest wrestler never to hold a World Championship. Benoit beat Sid for the WCW title. WWE recognizes it.
Guest Just J Report post Posted November 14, 2003 Nash is the man, I just wish he could find his nitch on RAW. The man can be very entertaining if they would just let him. I also agree with him about Hall. The man is a wrestling god!
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 Oh come on SOMEBODY has to make a "backdoor" joke involving Jim Ross, Triple H, and "insider commentary." But yeah actually I bet a clean, sober Scott Hall in his prime is better than RVD. Better than a lot of guys.
jester 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 I agree with Nash's answer on Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 Hall was good....was. And yes his best match does beat RVD's best match. Now should he have ever held the world title? I dunno.....maybe it's because I'm jaded by his actions towards the end of his career but I can never picture him as champion. I guess I could have whenever he was Razor Ramoan. Steviekick 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 But yeah actually I bet a clean, sober Scott Hall in his prime is better than RVD. Better than a lot of guys. I can agree that Hall at his peak was an overall better worker, but I personally enjoy RVD's spotty-ness.
Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted November 14, 2003 Well, Nash's answer was better than Angle's on Q1- (Benoit did win a world title, and Hall was better than RVD), they had the same answer for #2. Angle is probably right on Q3 (the WWE will give it to him as soon as he's around for more than 1 month.) Angle wins on #4, because Nash's answer had nothing to do with the question (though I'm sure he was probably serious). And Nash was more correct on Q5. Call it even. BifEverchad 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 RVD had more opportunities to be a World Champion, than Scott Hall. Especially within the WWE. Van Dam was super over during the Invasion angle and almost got a World Title program with Jericho in the winter of 2001. Then, last year he was as close as he ever was, and maybe will be, when he faced Triple H on a few occassions. As well, as the match with HBK on RAW two weeks after Survivor Series 02. Hall on the other hand, never had as many prominent chances at the title. He had a short program with Bret in 93, and maybe a title shot against Yokozuna on RAW after his face turn. Other than that, he was shuffled into the IC ranks, and never seen any World Title status.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 Angle: True. I think Chris Benoit is the greatest wrestler never to hold a World Championship. Benoit beat Sid for the WCW title. WWE recognizes it. Didn't Arn Anderson (or whoever was in charge at the time) reverse the decision so Benoit's world title win was WCW's "It Never Happened" version though? Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2003 Nash wins this one easily: Statement #1: Rob Van Dam is the greatest athlete never to hold a World Championship. Angle: True. I think Chris Benoit is the greatest wrestler never to hold a World Championship. But if you’re talking about overall athlete, I would say RVD is Nash: False. I think Scott Hall is better than he is. And he’s way bigger. And better looking. Nash's answer is correct, there are plenty of better athletes than RVD who never got a world title (although not many active ones). His justification was also at least funny. Advantage: Nash Statement #2: Ric Flair is the greatest World Champion of all time. Angle: True. No doubt about it. No ifs, ands or buts Nash: True. Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler of all time. Both get it right, Angle wins because he did more than just repeat the statement of the question. They don't call him Big Lazy for nothing do they. Advantage: Angle Statement #3: The Rock has won his last World Championship. Angle: False. The Rock will win many more championships. The Rock isn’t done here. I don’t believe that for a second. Nash: True. Unless he wins one in a movie. (Laughs) I'd agree with Nash here. Because even if the Rock isn't done, I doubt he gets the title again. Advantage: Nash Statement #4: Maven has the brightest career out of any of the Tough Enough graduates. Angle: True. Maven has proven himself and I think he will continue to prove himself and be a key player in WWE. Nash: False. I heard Nidia’s going to be doing porn. (Laughs) Angle gets the right answer, Nash scores with the style points. Advantage: Push Statement #5: J'Lo and Ben will never make it to the altar. Angle: False. They will make it to the alter but they will also end up in court for a divorce. Nash: Who cares? Nash takes this one in a cakewalk. Advantage: Nash So overall Nash wins 3-1-1. Probably the only victory over Angle he will get in his career.
