Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 This is the same company that spent months during the summer trying to keep Rikishi. No wonder buyrates and attendance are terrible.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 This is just bullshit plain and simple. What a piece of shit Vince is. The guy came in, got no push but then thanks to his own ability got the crowds behind him. Remember Armageddon where they FINALLY won the tag titles? One of my favourite moments of the year. haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 How did Goldust get over on his own when the WWE booked him to do the funny skits with Booker?
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 What's sad is that this past stint was the best Goldust Stint he had... I Do hope he makes it to TNA well guess if his daddy is there full time its a shoe in.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 If Goldust didn't have natural comedic talent- the skits wouldn't have worked. And considering BookDust was never able to win a single match and they still were insanely over- that should tell you something
Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 I guess we can mark Goldust's name off of the list of guys that might be the guy that sent the letter to Booker T. Either that, or they'll just drop that angle.
Guest Ray Report post Posted November 22, 2003 People find it amazing that Goldust is canned while someone as ungodly worthless as Orton is kept.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 22, 2003 The guy came in, got no push but then thanks to his own ability got the crowds behind him. And that's the issue. He got over without permission while, despite months of pushing and doing everything under the sun for Orton, they still can't get Randy over.
haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 If Goldust didn't have natural comedic talent- the skits wouldn't have worked. But WWE gave him a chance by booking him in those skits. Think of one of your SNL boys. If they weren't hired and book in those skits they would have never made a name for themselves and shown off their talent. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 I just don't understand this at all. Vince should let him keep the Goldust name because without it- he's screwed.

WWE books lots of people to do comedy- it doesn't seem to work. With Goldust it did. They didn't really give him a chance otherwise. For no reason BookDust lost matches to the nWo, UnAmericans and 3MW.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Nothing about being a broken record implies that what I'm saying is untrue. Randy Orton is not worthless. No he isn't. He doesn't deserve his "spot" though. As I've said over and over again, he's "painfully average".
haVoc 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 We have no idea why he's being let go. It could be ::gasp:: his fault! I agree with Bob, though. Vince should give him rights to the Goldust name and character.

Fökai 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 They have to keep Mark Henry. He's got a very long-term, high money contract. Never stopped them from getting out of other contracts. Remember that certain someone who had a 20 year contract? That contract had an out (and I assume it was specifically put in for the purpose it ended up serving). Dammit, why do all the super-long ironclad deals have to be given to total slugs? It didn't have an out. Vince asked Bret to get out of the contract for the sake of the company. Bret obliged, because he believed the WWF were in rough times.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Except for one incident on the plane I haven't heard anything negative about Goldust since he got reemployed.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Nothing about being a broken record implies that what I'm saying is untrue. Randy Orton is not worthless. Well, not as a human being, but what worth does he have to the company? He's never had a *good* singles match (Even his "good" tag matches are debatable) He's boring as hell on the mic. He's not at all over. Not at all. He does nothing for ratings. What is their reasoning for keeping him? Angle Will you ever shut up about Randy Orton? Damn. When they fire him. Styles 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Something's fishy here. Why would they make the announcement nearly 2 months before his contract expires? To the guy that answered that it gives him more time to look for work, they could have told him privately, but that they felt the need to make it public that they were not bringing him back 2 months before is strange. I agree, Dustin better be careful...

Jack_Bauer 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Even though I'm an Orton fan, how can you say that Orton is better than Angle on the mic ? Come on, at least I'm realistic. I liked his match with HBK, I think he can be good ( i know people dont and i dont wanna flame bait, and im sorry if it feels that way )
Guest Ray Report post Posted November 22, 2003 He's never had a *good* singles match (Even his "good" tag matches are debatable) Unforgiven 2003. He's boring as hell on the mic. Boring is subjective. He isn't boring to me. He's not at all over. Not at all. His heat isn't the worst. Don't act like it is. He does nothing for ratings. You expect him to? What is their reasoning for keeping him? GREAT look, good charisma. The better question is, what reason is there for such vehement Orton hate? You've given me nothing to prove he's worthless. His look alone is worth something.
