Guest RVDmark Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Mike Awesome - I don't know if he is committed to a contract in Japan but if he isn't bring him back assuming he is in better shape than at the end of his WWE stint. He can work with the heavyweights and cruiserweights and I'd like to see him work against X and The Sandman in some hardcore matches Saturn - He has tattoed himself up so much that now he looks like a freak show but he can wrestle. They should dig up Kronus or bring in someone else to tag with him as the Elminators. New Jack - Bring him back and team him with Homicide to form a new Gangstas type tag team.. Him and Shark Boy teaming is a joke. Jerry Lynn - as mentioned in a previous post he is a valuable asset. Apolo - has a good look to him and is a decent wrestler though he does blow his share of spots. He has relocated to Florida. Would be decent to feud with Abyss as a face resuming their feud in Puerto Rico. Slash Venom - works for IWA and is pretty good with a decent look. Mantel should know him and at least try to bring him in. I notice that there a lot of wrestlers in IWA from the States (Lobo aka Andy Anderson, Tommy Diablo, Brett Sanders, Eric Alexander etc.) Are any of these guys good? I know that they can't be much worse than David Flair who is over there now.

Plus he works a little too stiff for those guys. Saturn - He would be a solid addition. But I would hope that they could shut up for a second about him and his ECW past. They make him sound like he was way better years ago, thus building him up incorrectly. New Jack - Honestly......I hope you were kidding. Lynn - Obviously he is an asset, as him and AJ were definately the MVP's of TNA in its first year. But them trying to get him to take a pay cut ruined it for themselves. Apolo - You said it yourself, as he blows too many spots. He doesn't bring ANYTHING special to the table, so I fail to see how big of an asset he would be to TNA.
SamoaRowe Posted December 4, 2003 Report Posted December 4, 2003 Mike Awesome Yeah, assuming he's in better shape than he was before. His workrate really took a nose dive since his injury back in 2001. Saturn Yes. I am a huge Saturn mark and I miss the guy. He can wrestle and everything, he just oversells sometimes. New Jack Gawd, no. Jerry Lynn Yes, yes and YES! Push him to the moon, he's earned his spot countless times over by now. I would really love to see Tommy Dreamer in TNA. I think he would fit in much better and judging by how Sandman and New Jack have been used, he would get a good push there as well.
Cuban Linx Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Of those only Jerry Lynn and maybe Saturn i'd care to see in TNA. Lynn should never have been gone from TNA in the first place.
Mecha Mummy Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 The only thing New Jack was EVER good for in TNA was the Shark Boy segments. Without that, I couldn't have cared less for the guy.
ulfistgut Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Erm, Samoa Joe please. He's big, can do a variety of styles and is just generally great. Apart from American Dragon he's pretty much the only top level indy guy not brought in and his style could work there far better than AmDrag's
SamoaRowe Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I would be intrigued by Samoa Joe in TNA as well. What happened to Xavier? I sort of stopped hearing about him all together. Then again, the last time I saw Xavier, he was jobbing to Chuck Palumbo on Velocity... sheesh.
Guest RVDmark Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 The problem with Samoa Joe is that he's a lardass. He may be decent in the ring but I remember seeing a picture of him in this year's PWI 500 and he had a Kamala sized gut. Hotstuff Hernandez would be a better addition.....
bob_barron Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 The problem with Samoa Joe is that he's a lardass. He may be decent in the ring but I remember seeing a picture of him in this year's PWI 500 and he had a Kamala sized gut. Hotstuff Hernandez would be a better addition..... Samoa Joe is NOT a lard ass. And what does his weight really have to do with anything if he's still a good worker? Hotstuff Hernandez is sloppy and very green. Samoa Joe is neither and can put on a good-great match with almost anybody.
Guest RVDmark Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 If you have a copy of the PWI 500, just turn to where Samoa Joe is and then tell me that isn't just a pile of fat. He may be a great wrestler but he has to work on his physique. He doesn't have to get all roided up, just tone up a little...
bob_barron Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Well I've met and talked to Samoa Joe- He isn't fat. That's irrelevant anyway since he's a damn good worker and I think the OLAY OLAY OLAY OLAY kick would get over in TNA
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Bob, don't even answer shit like that. A person that judges another wrestler simply because he is "overweight" shows exactly how much they know about the sport. Saying that a wrestler needs to trim down doesn't mean he can't work.
Corey_Lazarus Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 With Dusty Rhodes on the shows, NOBODY shouldn't be brought in because they have a gut.
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 All those ex-ecw talent should NOT be brought in. 1) They demand too much money 2) Most of them suck now(Awsome, Jack, looking at ou) and please, dont reform the most overated horrible, shitacular tag team ever. The Eliminators sucked.period. Lynn should be brought in if he cuts his cost, otherwise fuck him, dont really need him that much more. Slash Venom(Flash) would be a great newcomer. I saw his OVW work and it was one of the best in the fed. He should have taken Sinn's place in the new church. Actually, he was in the New Church for like, an episode. As Kobain. Samoa Joe is not a lardass. That shit is muscle. And remeber...he's samoan...they are all fat...its in the blood. Joe should be brought in as a monster heel, or a bayface against Abyss.
Guest Coffey Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 I've seen a little bit of Samoa Joe from Ring of Honor. He can go. I wouldn't mind if he came in at all. He's damn good from what I've seen. Then again, I still think that American Dragon is better. Of course, American Dragon being a better worker and American Dragon being better in NWA:TNA are two entirely different things.
King Cucaracha Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 Nathan Jones is available... Other than that; AmDrag, Samoa Joe...or as someone else said, Doug Williams. He could put on some technical classics with Ki and Daniels for sure.
The Mandarin Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Did Jerry Lynn quit or something?
Guest Markingout Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Homicide,is also awesome. That man can work.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 he's been pushed out over pay
Nevermortal Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Samoa Joe would get so over it'd be crazy. Once he throws the Ole kick or the Bootscrapes, the Nashvillians will cream themselves.
Michrome Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Yep, he could easily be introduced as a hitman or bodyguard of types for Jarrett. The man is simply awesome.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Nathan Jones will take this shit primetime, baby!
Guest vicvenomjr Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Bring in Homicide as a bad ass black man. Let him push the race card, play the heel and feud with the South's golden boy (Styles).
LucharesuFan619 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Bring back Altar Boy Luke. Others I want to see in TNA: B-Boy, Nick Berk, Kaos/Joey Idol, Homicide, Slyk Wagner Brown, Slim J, Josh Prohibition, Sal Rinauro, and Vic Grimes.
JustJoe2k5 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Homicide and Samoa Joe would be very good additions. Just book them together in their first match and the hard-hitting action will easily win over the fans.
Nevermortal Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 Bring in Homicide as a bad ass black man. Let him push the race card, play the heel and feud with the South's golden boy (Styles). Too bad he's Puerto Rican....
