Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 1. Nolte was a cross between the Maestro and the absorbing man 2. Hulk has kicked Wolverine's ass on more than one occasion ( Read it at the store yesterday...........wait that goes in comics..........oops.....sorry) 3. It made over it's combined budget ( That includes production and marketing) In the Us and internationally so there is a good chance of there being a sequel Have a good day.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Would anyone like to see a sequel? I would
razazteca Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I would like to see a sequel and would do what I could to get M. Night Shyamalan as writer and producer.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Mns would put himself in as wendigo
Mole Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I would like to see a sequel and would do what I could to get M. Night Shyamalan as writer and producer. That would never happen.
Kahran Ramsus Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 A sequel has already been confirmed.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I'd like to see a sequel, if the same actors return and The Super Absorbing Man doesn't return.
starvenger Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 2. Hulk has kicked Wolverine's ass on more than one occasion ( Read it at the store yesterday...........wait that goes in comics..........oops.....sorry) And this should surprise you because...? Not too many heroes have gone one-on-one with the Hulk and come out on top. Off the top of my head, there's Batman and, um, Wolverine might have beat him during his Joe Fixit phase, but that's about it, I think.
Downhome Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 A sequel has already been confirmed. Thank God. While I disliked much of The Hulk (basicly the ending), I love the concept and feel that there is so much that they could do with it in film. Here's to a much improved sequel!
Mole Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Really? Even with the BIG drop off in the second week?
Guest El Satanico Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The ending would've been fine, if his dad turned out to be another Hulk(perhaps gray as a nod to the comic). His dad being another Hulk would've been predictable, but better than super absorbing man.
Guest El Satanico Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 Really? Even with the BIG drop off in the second week? Studios don't care about the box office drop off percentages. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters to studios about the box office, is the bottom line. Hulk made money period end of story.
The Metal Maniac Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I fart on sequels for this movie. I liked the first one, but really...what are they gonna do for a sequel? "Oh no! He turned into the Hulk...again!" I dunno...I can't see another movie as being anything but a re-hashing of the first. I really can't.
The Dames Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 I could have sworn I heard that Superman also defeated the Hulk, but I'm not too into comics anymore, so I don't know. Dames

Off the top of my head, there's Batman and, um, Wolverine might have beat him during his Joe Fixit phase, but that's about it, I think Didn't Spidey whip him up when he had the Capt. Universe powers? It's been a long time since I've read that.

EdwardKnoxII Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I mean they go into the water and freeze or something? Could somebody explain it to me?
Dr. Tom Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 How did Batman beat the Hulk? I remember Hulk and Superman fighting in one of those DC/Marvel crossover things. This was when Superman was still a planet-tossing god and the Hulk was still all "HULK SMASH~!" I don't remember either winning, actually.
Ripper Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 No one ever wins in those crossover things. It basically is one kicks the other ass and then the other comes back and kicks the others ass, they realize they are actually on the same side and go kick the villans asses.
notJames Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 The only thing I didn't like was the ending. I mean they go into the water and freeze or something? Could somebody explain it to me? From what I gathered, and from what I understand about the characters, Nolte was trying to absorb the Hulk's power, while the Hulk, who draws his superhuman strength from... somewhere... was fighting him the whole way. So you've got the two of them sucking energy from all around them (that little bit about "absorbing all the ambient energy"), which caused the water molecules to stop moving, thereby lowering the temperature enough to freeze it. I think. Personally, I wouldn't mind a sequel, as long as a) the main cast returns, b) the Hulk dies tragically, thus ending the whole story, and c) M. Night Shamalamadingdong doesn't come anywhere near it.
Big McLargeHuge Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 How did Batman beat the Hulk? I remember Hulk and Superman fighting in one of those DC/Marvel crossover things. This was when Superman was still a planet-tossing god and the Hulk was still all "HULK SMASH~!" I don't remember either winning, actually. No it wasn't. This is post-Crisis Supes here. He wasn't tossing any planets or suns around during Marvel vs. DC. And this wasn't "Hulk Smash!" Banner either. This Hulk had brains and was conversing like any other normal person would. And yes, Supes whooped the Hulk.
Dr. Tom Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 The one I'm referring to is OLD... probably late 70s, early 80s. I remember reading it when I was young, as part of a big book of crossovers. I know it had Spider-Man vs. Superman in there, too, and some others I'm forgetting now. In fact, I remember some dialog when the Hulk and Superman were slugging it out. The Hulk had clocked Supes a good one before, but he was ready this time. He said something to the effect of, "If I don't want to be moved, there's no force in the universe that can move me" while the Hulk was wailing away on him. Hulk then said something along the lines of, "This making Hulk mad. And the madder Hulk gets, the STRONGER Hulk gets!" I'd love to find that book again.
starvenger Posted December 5, 2003 Report Posted December 5, 2003 How did Batman beat the Hulk? It happened in the Batman/The Incredible Hulk comic, which is in the Crossover Classics vol 1 TPB. I believe that Batman made Hulk inhale some gas, which knocked him out and changed Hulk back to Banner. BTW that TPB also has both Superman/Spidermans (the second of which Dr Tom is referencing) and X-Men/Teen Titans - well worth picking up IMO.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted December 6, 2003 Report Posted December 6, 2003 The Hulk defeated and buried Batman in the rematch
Sass Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 The only heroes who have held their own against the Hulk and not ended up being turned into mulch were Thor, the Thing (once), and Batman. When Spider-Man had cosmic powers he managed to down Mr.Fixit but this Hulk was weaker than the green version. Wolverine and Hulk have never had a definite conclusion to any of their fights although the Hulk has knocked Wolvie out before but never followed up on it. But Wolverine managed to take a large chunk of the Hulk's ass in each of their encounters. A Hulk sequel would be great if they just have him beat the holy hell out of the Abomination and turn back the mutant forces of the Leader.
