Looks like a Steven Segal action movie to me and that's not a bad thing. The Rock does not look like a Billy Jack kind of guy where is the hat and denim jacket.

I marked out when Rock did the kip up. It seems to be another nod to his wrestling career like the Rock Bottom in The Rundown and the People's Eyebrow in The Scorpion King. It looks good, I'll go see it.
