Vanhalen Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Ok, I wasnt sure where to put this, so if its in the wrong place, I apologise, but basically Brandons reviews of shoot interviews are fucking excellent, well detailed and just generally good shit, so thank you Brandon, I always look forward to the reviews you post.
Guest JacK Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 Yep, I agree, they rule, and since I'm fairly knew to wreslting and know little aboot the whole past, it provides a fascinating insight I'd never get otherwise. Keep up the good work! Please!
Guest jtronx Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Agreed - he's the main reason i come to the site
teke184 Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Can I get a whoop-whoop? *raises roof* Thanks, guys... I'm not sure if this week's will be a new one or a repost, but there will be at least one more original one before the new year. Ones I'm considering at the moment are Sandman's second shoot done just after the announcement of the WCW sale, Jim Cornette's Q+A session from Smokey Mountain Wrestling in 1993 including many WCW stories, Bob Orton Jr., Dustin Rhodes, Vince Russo (if it gets here tomorrow), and a few others.
Guest Douche Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Definite big thumbs up to Truitt.
teke184 Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Update on this week's shoot- It'll be a repost of my choosing because of a family Christmas party tomorrow in the Big Sleazy. On the plus side, I got a new DVD player which will FINALLY allow me to watch the goddamn Crash Holly, Ole Anderson, and Taylor from Tough Enough shoot videos. (I bought them from Highspots on DVD-R but none of my players would play them, even the Apex I have which will play ANYTHING or the DVD-Rom in my dad's laptop) That is a big plus because Ole's will certainly be interesting and it will make ALL of these go faster, because it will make it easier to search when I'm trying to get exact quotes or understand something that's slightly garbled due to shitty mic work (that's mainly on old RF shoots, but it still happens).
Vanhalen Posted December 15, 2003 Author Report Posted December 15, 2003 I would love you to do the Vince Russo one asap, if thats possible
MARTYEWR Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Brandon knows how much I think he brings the awesome, but I needed to contribute. Keep up the awesome, man, and best of luck to LSU at the national championship. Cheers!
Sass Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Teke's reviews are one of the best on the net today that I can find. Everyone is doing themselves a disservice by not reading his work.
BX Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Wait, that's TEKE!? Shit. EDIT: LUCKY 8s!
Jingus Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Oh yeah, T(eke)ruitt rules, and always has. After reading one of his reviews, I feel like I don't even have to watch the tape myself.
Vanhalen Posted December 23, 2003 Author Report Posted December 23, 2003 What can I say? Another great review, and sorry if it sounded like I was pestering you over the Russo shoot, am just eager to read about it
teke184 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 As I said in my e-mail to you, I wasn't upset but it may have seemed that way because of the sarcasm I tend to use. Sometimes it doesn't come across that way because there's no voice to go with it. It's all cool because I'm working on the Russo one now, since it FINALLY came in (goddamn RF Video shipping), and I'm ripping on him on more than a few subjects.
MillenniumMan831 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Reading Brandon's shoot reviews are my favorite part of Monday nights.
Vanhalen Posted December 29, 2003 Author Report Posted December 29, 2003 Tuesday mornings at work for me!
Robert Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Tnak you for the wonderful shoots. I laughed my ass off at Duggan, and loathe Steve Willams. If you ever get the Piper one, could you review it?
Steviekick Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Tuesday mornings at work for me! Same here. I like how he is able to recap the interview, yet throw in his own opinions and clarifications, without making the subject seem stupid.
teke184 Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Tnak you for the wonderful shoots. I laughed my ass off at Duggan, and loathe Steve Willams. If you ever get the Piper one, could you review it? It depends on whether I can keep my lower intestines from rising up to throttle my brain once I start watching it. Piper's incoherent enough when he's on LIVE TV, let alone on a pre-taped interview where he doesn't have to worry about Standards and Practices.
bob_barron Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 Well teke- you have some interesting feedback in General Wrestling.
teke184 Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 I hope his good friends at Sprintlink aren't too upset with him already because I'm sure someone will complain about his mouth eventually. 65.170.14.162 if you feel like tracing it back. Have a nice day.
Vanhalen Posted December 30, 2003 Author Report Posted December 30, 2003 God this thread is starting to sound like a suck up thread but fuck it, another great review, and great deconstruction of it as well
