Zetterberg is God 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 - Eddie Guerrero injured his arm in his match at the Smackdown taping. I won't spoil what went on due to this not being a spoiler post but at the time he was working with Charlie Haas. However, there is much more to this. There has been tension building up for a while between Chavo + Eddie Guerrero and Shelton Bejamin + Charlie Hass. Both sides haven't been getting along well backstage. Word has it that Chavo was instigating a little bit and during the match things got a little heated. Eddie had a sore arm going in to the match and hurt it while in match with Charlie. Later on after the match, Eddie and Charlie went at it backstage. It didn't last long and was broken up rather quickly. Many backstage felt that Eddie was the aggressor and Charlie was right for defending himself. WWE officials and management have taken Eddie's side saying that the veterans should be respected. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 11, 2003 I'm rapidly losing patience with Chavo. He's not over, he seems content with leeching off Eddy to try and get heat and now he's starting shit.
edotherocket 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 This is kinda off-topic but how accurate is Scott Keith with his rumours and such? On his blog he reckons a 'friend' in the WWE says to expect a Brock Lesnar/Eddie Guerrero title match at No Way Out 2004.

Guest bort Report post Posted December 11, 2003 I think Charile could take Eddie at this point, I dont know if it was planed but when the WGTT lost titles to eddie and chavo they gave charile a pretty nasty foldup backdrop that gave him a concussion so maybe it was a little payback

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 I'm tired of all this shit. I don't care who's right and who's wrong. The WWE wrestlers act like a bunch of damn children. They get into fights over everything and start some petty shit up. Nobody can say "Hey man....I screwed up. I'm sorry. I will help in any way possible." No it's "You fucker you hurt me!"...."Oh yeah bitch? Let's see what you got?"

There's so much friggin testosterone and they all have to try to be macho instead of just letting something go. I also agree with AS, Chavo is getting on my damn nerves too. But you got to remember even if you have one of the best locker rooms in history what's going to make news is when something happens. The bad news will always get reported over good news becuause good news simply isn't as exciting.

NYU 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Many backstage felt that Eddie was the aggressor and Charlie was right for defending himself. WWE officials and management have taken Eddie's side saying that the veterans should be respected That doesn't make any sense. "Charlie, you were right to defend yourself. Eddie was being aggressive, and you had to stand up to him. BUT YOU'RE WRONG ! YOU MUST RESPECT HIM ! GOT IT?!" Huh?
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Okay, time to pull the plug on this feud. I mean, I can see why Haas and Benjamin would be pissed here. They are probably the best long term tag team on SMDN, yet are being used as jobber bait for two guys who are bound to be feuding anytime now. I can see Eddie being angry though, especially if he had reason to think that Haas was intentionally trying to take him out as a receipt for an honest mistake in an earlier match. I'm not asking that in a negative way, this seriously surprised me. With his family, I figured he wrestled from his late teen years onward.

Well, they were right about the Goldberg-Jericho and Flair-Bischoff backstage skirmishes. They were also right about the "Flight From Hell." Do they only get a bad rap for reporting that Bret Hart was going to lead the Invasion..........a fact that Bret confirmed a year later? I don't get it. He had every right to whip that ass. Don't start that debate again ... that was among the more pointless arguements that I can remember in recent TSM history. And am I the only one who gets the impression that a lot of the Chavo hatred is stemming from the fact that his return coincided with the end of the Eddie push? Don't hate Chavo because the higher ups didn't pull the trigger on the Eddie push - hate the higher ups.

NYU 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 (edited) I think Scott Hall gets sympathy. A lot of people here complain about how stupid it was for Vince to put him in storylines dealing with alcohol when he was obviously a recovering alcoholic. But there's a difference between Scott's situation and Eddie's. When Hall got beer poured on him, it was by Steve Austin and it was part of the show. When Eddie got beer poured on him, it was by some asshole fan that probably wanted to look cool in front of his friends. I said a few months ago that Eddie wasn't wrong for hitting that fan. I stick by that opinion now. Edited December 11, 2003 by OlympicHeroRVD
