tpww7 Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 At the 12/12 Raw brand house show at Madison Square Garden, Hurricane once again used the chokeslam, this time on Test, even though he was told before to stop doing so. To make matters worse, he did it as a transition spot instead of a finisher. From what I heard, he was given a stern talking to by the agents after his match. He was told to stop using the move since a guy his size couldn't really do it, plus it's Kane's finisher. From 1wrestling.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Brock Big Show Bashams Tajiri HHH Orton Flairtista Molly Holly There are 8 titles in the WWE - all held by heels. Is there a reason for me pointing this out? 1)The WWE is full of morons 2)I didn't want to start an individual thread to highlight this. Anywhose, "since a guy his size couldn't really do it" - Thus explaining Shane McMahon dominating Kane for months.

It further proves that the WWF creative department is too inept to make a gimmick like the Hurricane work.
EdwardKnoxII Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 If he should stop using it cause it's Kane's finisher then there should be alot of big men stop using the powerbomb.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 And before we know it, Hurricane's new finisher wristlock
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I was thinking roll up - school boy, no fancy-smacy cradle or bridges.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Before you know it we will be watching 6 hr draws reminiscent of George Hackenschmidt.........ughhhhhh
Guest Goodear Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Since Hurricane has about fourteen different finishers I don't see this being a problem. Sure it was cute the first few times that Hurricane busted tyhe chokeslam out but now its time for him to freshen up the act and find something new to do with the character.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 On the bright side; the Garvin Stomp and Heart Punch are still available for him.
tpww7 Posted December 15, 2003 Author Report Posted December 15, 2003 Until Ronnie Garvin feels like coming in for a nostalgic run.
1234-5678 Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 The Garvin Stomp was the dumbest thing I have ever seen.
King Cucaracha Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I think the problem is that he did a chokeslam on TEST. Test is both too big to believably take a chokeslam from Helms, without some sort of leverage... ...and Test is of course Shane O's buddy.

Not really--the vertebreaker is out. Of course, he still has the Elbowdrop to Throat and the crappy jumping kick to the head.
Guest Goodear Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 ...and Test is of course Shane O's buddy. Which must be why Helms is being told to stop being a numnuts! YES BRILLIANT! YOU CRACKED THE CODE!!!

notJames Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 His finisher could always be that suicidal twisting fall off the ropes that didn't even graze his opponent and almost killed him at the PPV last night. "You fucked up! You fucked up!"
OldSchoolWrestling Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Since he's about to head down the card even further, his finisher is going to be laying on his back watching the ref count to 3.
haVoc Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I always liked his finish/spot that he and Matt Hardy uses. Shining Wizard?
Guest ligerbomb03 Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 That is more of a Shining Enzigurri and not a Shining Wizard.

Guest Jimbo Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 couldn't he do the Nightmare on Helm's Street, which is a neckbreaker I believe? Or would that not work because Orton is alreayd doing his diamond cutter/running bulldog RKO move and he's a big 'star' now...

iliketurtles Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Here's an idea, WWE...why don't you give him a replacement finisher instead of telling him not to do the Hurrislam?
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 The Blockbuster is his best bet.

Like...for some reason (and I probably will be wrong, but still)...I think Scotty and Rikishi will become tag champs this Smackdown.
Corey_Lazarus Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Let him use a Sunset Powerbomb. It's not too unbelievable, since the move is more about momentum than it is strength... ...dammit, I want somebody in WWE to use the Sunset Powerbomb on a regular basis!
Guest Trivia247 Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Trade off Hurricane will stop doing the Chokeslams if he can do the Vertebreaker.... only fair
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 TWO POINTS: 1)The Hurricane gimmick sucks. He is a joke. Liked his WCW 2001 stuff, hate his current work. I hope he's released and can wrestle in a cruiserweight environment and develop his entertainment value back elsewhere. 2) "Shane dominated Kane for months". Shut the fuck up. Shane got the upper hand in soe sneak attacks. Kane won the 2 matches. Who cares, anyway? Kane is a lubering, plodding SNOOZE-FEST. I hope he gets embarassed by someone of lesser size.
