Their singles list is pretty solid, even if the Libertines and Coral both do nothing for me. I'd make a couple changes, but that top 20 makes for one hell of a college-kid dance party.

I dunno. The singles list looks pretty solid and well rounded. The albums list, I'm not so sure about. A fair few bands I'm not too keen on, but still good.

Hurt's the only track on the singles list I touched.

I have this stuff shoved at me by the mass media, so I ignore it after seeing it sucks to me.

You don't like Crazy In Love? What are you, a crab person?

CRAB PEOPLE~!

I think I'm also in the majority as far as the singles list goes. The album list is no all that grand though. Elephant, I think was the best album of the year, so that part I can live with.

For some reason, being a Black and Death Metal fan inclines me towards hating it.

Yeah, I don't think you'd really be happy with the NME then.

I'm not. Along with Kerrang! it's one of the worst "alternative" music mags out there in the UK.

Each to their own like, but I'd rather not touch it.

I just CAN'T agree with Beyonce at the top, although I have to say that most of the stuff on there is good enough for me.

I prefer "The Way You Move."

I don't believe that's got a UK release, which explains why it wasn't in the list.

Those cunts.

I'll say. I'm along the same lines as Dace in music taste, but "The Way You Move" is catchy as hell

Seriously, that's the best double A-side in years. And most successful, too. "Hey Ya" is number 1 on the Billboard charts and "The Way You Move" is number 2. And the album - a double album - has already sold over 3 million copies.

I (heart) OutKast so very much.

exactly what I'd expect from the NME "trendsetters" (I use parenthesis, cos they tend to be just the opposite). Why the fuck is Deloused In The Comatorium - one of the best debuts in years - at number 28?!

and I don't tend to follow singles releases.

Shadows Fall are a band I keep meaning to check out but I really can't be assed right now.

Having downloaded most of the singles list, I can say I agree with everything above "Clocks". And That out of that lot, "Darts Of Pleasure" deserved to be top.

What shitty lists they are. Where are The Black Eyed Peas? Blue? Westlife? Fatman Scoop? Busted? Christina? Music snobbery I tells ya.

Hint: it's lucky it's even on the list, because it's wanky, nonsensical prog shit that wishes it could be King Crimson and lacks the virtuoso musicianship that sometimes makes even the most ridiculous of prog rock tolerable.

Meanwhile, yes, there's not enough Justin Timberlake on that list. I wonder if Joe Budden's "Pump It Up" didn't get a UK release. Summer jam of 2003, and how can you not love the weird acceleration sounds throughout?

Do many people even read the NME these days? I remember hearing a few years back that their readership was declining at an alarming rate.
