Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Hey, it's been a year full of good and bad movies. But with every movie there is a villan. Out of all the villans on screen this year who was the best? ( I don't include Ian Mckellen as Magneto, because he was siding with the X-men for most of his screen time.) My vote would go to either Robert Englund in Freddy vs. Jason or Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith in the matrix Revolutions ( The movie wasn't great, but he was a good foil for Neo) Who would you pick?
razazteca Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Tony Cox who played the elf and partner to Santa in Bad Santa
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Have to go with Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Hugo Weaving as Smith, and Colin Farrell as Bullseye in Daredevil
Guest Flyboy Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Tony Cox who played the elf and partner to Santa in Bad Santa You might want to use spoiler tags.
Lightning Flik Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Agent Smith easily... He's like the best person to ever get his villian personality down to a tee.
razazteca Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Tony Cox who played the elf and partner to Santa in Bad Santa You might want to use spoiler tags. But its called Bad Santa and you would expect Santa and the elf to be heels, right?
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Colin Farrell was good as Bullseye, but he was already nominated for best villan in June. ( Colin Farrell, The Green Goblin, Daniel Day-Lewis as Bill the Butcher, and they give the award to the little girl from the ring?!) I've never seen Legend, but I'm a big Tim Curry fan, oh, and Freddy fuckin' owns Leatherface
Boner Kawanger Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Tim Curry in LEGEND He was good, but this movie did come out, like...not this year. Gotta go with Freddy and Gollum.
NoCalMike Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Go-Go Yubari from Kill Bill vol. 1, however her part was pretty short so it would be hard for her to win, but damn that fight scene with her was cool and it was something new for american audiences. She is featured again in vol. 2 flashbacks so hopefully she gets to do some more cool stuff.
Mecha Mummy Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 GoGo was insanely cool but not best villain worthy due to the fact that she didn't get enough screentime to warrant it. I'll go with Gollum, who I absolutely hated by the end of the movie. Smith's in second, and then GoGo would be third.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 I just saw Return of the King, and yes, Gollum would be on my top 3, but for some reason I still felt sorry for him
Boner Kawanger Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 See, I can't vote for Smith because after EVERY SINGLE THING NEO SAID FOR AN HOUR was "Why?" and especially after he failed to solve the mystery of "Who is this guy and why does he keep calling me 'Mr. Anderson'?" in one of the most excrutiating scenes ever, I was rooting for Ol' Hugo Smith. But maybe that's just me.
Yuna_Firerose Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 Brian Cox as William Stryker in X2 Ben in Willard [just look at those eyes! He's definetly plotting something evil.]
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 I agree with Matt, it's like: ( Three hours later) " Ok dumbass, who is the only person you've met that speaks in this tone of voice while calling you Mr. Anderson?" I was rooting for Freddy too.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 The Sniper in Phone Booth Agreed.
chirs3 Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 The Sniper in Phone Booth Agreed. Me too.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 The Sniper is Phone Booth is my pick. Runners Up: Geoffrey Rush in POTC, Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Ray Liotta in Identity(I guess he's the villain ), Johnny Depp in Once Upon a Time in Mexico(again not too sure if he's a villain or not)
Mystery Eskimo Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 The Sniper in Phone Booth Agreed. Me too. Nah. He was good until the end when he was revealed to be.... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): some guy? C'mon...that was so lame.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 The Sniper in Phone Booth Agreed. Me too. Nah. He was good until the end when he was revealed to be.... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): some guy? C'mon...that was so lame. He was a random guy... that makes him even fucking scarier.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 Hey it's better being a random guy than having a SWERVE~! and it being the pizza man or some shit.
Mystery Eskimo Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 I guess you could look at it like that. But to me it just seemed far fetched.
Ravenbomb Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 yeah, but it being anybody else wouldn't make sense either, unless they went the ultra-lame 'someone from his past' route, and that'd be lame
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 I would have to agree with The Sniper in Phone Booth
Boner Kawanger Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 The Sniper in Phone Booth Agreed. Me too. Nah. He was good until the end when he was revealed to be.... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): some guy? C'mon...that was so lame. He was a random guy... that makes him even fucking scarier. Bingo.
Guest Anglesault Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 The Sniper in Phone Booth Agreed. Me too. Ditto
