Vern Gagne Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Since both Raw and Smackdown will have wrestlers involved in the match? Will they attempt to have some kind of 4 man booth?
deancoles Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 JR and King will probably call it since in the wwe opinion they're the "a" announcers.
J. Hungerford Smith Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 If I had a choice, I'd say JR and Tazz
Guest MissMattitude Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 If I had a choice it would be Heyman/JR.
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 If I had a choice it would be Heenan/Monsoon, but that just won't happen.
DCMaximo Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 As long as Lawler isn't involved, colour me happy. Or Coachman for that matter. Maybe even keep JR off it. Dammit, I hope they give it to Cole and Tazz. Ain't going to happen though. Who called it last year?
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 JR and Lawler. IMO, JR went out of his way to bury the Smackdown guys, particulary the cruisers
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 WTF????? I remember some glowing comments towards Cena ("He's a future main event player"), Haas ("Haas is a hoss"), Tajiri ("Tajiri has the talent to win this thing") and f'n BULL BUCHANAN ("You don't have to be the most technical to win this").
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Yay! Make Cole do PBP for an hour, saying "Damn" a record 15,000 times everyone is attacked from behind. "Damn that [wrestler a]! "Damn him for attacking [wrestler a] from behind!" "Damn it, hes gonna win the rumble!" (repeat 29x)
Guest Goodear Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I think it would make more sense to have Tazz and Cole do it since the primary storyline through the thing is going to be 'Can Benoit go the distance?' And Cole despite his cliche use of the word damn is still about 3 times less annoying than JR who basically only spouts cliches period.

Michael Cole sounds like a retarded four year old who watched a PG-13 movie and has a favorite word, but nothing entertaining like nipple and titty. He says damn so much it just gets really annoying.
haVoc Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I'd rather have Cole & Tazz. However, if they keep Coach with JR and King then that could be interesting.
Guest Goodear Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Meh, I just think Cole and Tazz are more conversational where as JR and King are trying to put on an act.
bob_barron Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Well the last time there was RAW v. SD!- JR and King called it. So it's Cole and Tazz's turn
BifEverchad Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 Well the last time there was RAW v. SD!- JR and King called it. So it's Cole and Tazz's turn Hopefully.

Do we trust JR/Lawler to keep the focus on Benoit's quest?

Do we trust JR/Lawler to keep the focus on Benoit's quest? well, maybe Jim Ross would by Shilling the crap out of everything a la Todd Pettingle (sp?). Or bury him for making Nathan Jones cry like a bitch back to Australlia. Last years "Storyline" was all about Brock, and JR/Lawler still did it, so the main focus of the match means nothing.

Do we trust JR/Lawler to keep the focus on Benoit's quest? I never again want JR and the King to call Benoit's matches because of their bored to death voices. One of the main reasons I like Benoit on Smackdown is just because Tazz and Cole add excitement while JR and King take it away. For example, look at the Insurrection 2000 PPV against Angle. A real good match but King and JR aren't even paying attention. They often do this to everyone if your name's not Austin.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted January 9, 2004 Report Posted January 9, 2004 I could actually using both GM's. It would be good if they would make it Austin/Heyman/Bishoff.
DangerousDamon Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 I could actually using both GM's. It would be good if they would make it Austin/Heyman/Bishoff. Now there's an idea. Just get rid of Austin.
Tawren Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 JR and King. Remember Backlash, Judgment Day, and KoTR 02? Royal Rumble 03? Cole and Tazz are way better though. And I don't understand the Cole hate. He rocks.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Directive: ...ensure the hate for Michael Cole remains. Target: ...Tawren. Mission: Terminate.

Cole is hated because he has said things like "the Cell is dangerous, you could get your finger caught in there" and once said the steel steps are 300 pounds.

Don't forget his constant use of the word "damn", not knowing how to shut up when someones turning because he gives it away, and generally lacks everything to carry an announce team. Tazz makes him tolerable by making fun of him and knowing what the hell is going on.

Cole is hated because he has said things like "the Cell is dangerous, you could get your finger caught in there" and once said the steel steps are 300 pounds. Yeah, those were sad. I'll admit that. But in 2003, he was easily the best announcer for WWE, plus for some reason he sounds fine to me. The word "damn" 30 times per show > "BAH GAWD KANG ITS STONE COLD STONE COLD BAH GAWD STUNNER STONE COLD STOMPING A MUDHOLE GOVERNMENT MULE MARTIAL ARTS KICKS BAH GAWD EDUCATED FEET KANG BAH GAWD HES A HOSS DAMN TAP THAT ASS ORTON BAH GAWD KANG STONE COLD STONE COLD THIS SUNDAY BAH GAWD"
Nighthawk Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 You act like this is a year ago. Michael Cole isn't what he used to be.

"Bah Gawd King he's whippin him like a Goverment Mule!" Cole sound dumb: Damn Brock lesnar! He's trying to break that kids damn leg! Damn it!
