Since my pursuit of CDs has exhausted itself over the last couple of years, I'm now looking into musical DVDs, especially concert vids.

My primary musical genres of interest are heavy metal and hard/classic rock, but I am amenable to most forms of music (I am of the mindset that there are no good or bad genres as a whole, just goods and bads within genres)

I can vouch the slayer is good, with some extras as well.

The best I've ever seen is "Stop Making Sense" by Talking Heads. The visual story that accompanies the auditory one helps it rise above what is normally considered a "concert film."

Also I love how they don't waste time with crowd shots and just frame certain band members for long periods of time.

Oh yes excellent concert, I picked it up for 12.99 myself.

Angus/Malcolm give brief audio comments on their discography.

Oh and The Last Waltz, finest concert documentary.
