NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 Most boards/chat rooms I have been too, have featured the same folks since their inception. Do you think that all of us will be here when we are in our thirties, forties and beyond? Understandably we may have less time to roam on the boards, but do you think the CORE of us will still be here in ten years, twenty years?
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 As long as the board is around, I know I'll be here. It's one of the few places where I can come and read the opinions of mostly mature, intelligent individuals, as well as share my own, on a variety of topics from wrestling to women, video games to music, sports, etc. In short, all my favorite things. I think the main guys at least (although here, that group is rather large) will stay together. Most forums tend to have that. For example, I used to be a regular at the WrestlingGames.com boards while they were up. There were thousands of users, but after the place shut down, myself and probably 100 or so other prominent posters have stuck together at a couple boards run by former WG posters. We're like a family, and I've even traveled to meet several of the guys in person. That's why I see myself staying around here, and I imagine most others will as well. There's just a certain magic about this board that you can't find anywhere else.
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 Didn't Dames put a lockdown on new members?...
spiny norman 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 I don't think it's a permanent lockdown though. As for being here years from now, I doubt it. I have been here for three and a half years, I can't see myself still being here three and a half years from now, as I'd like to think that life has meant I don't have time for this anymore. But perhaps I will stay despite the business of life. In many ways I hope so, because I've enjoyed my stay here. But as for the same people posting here ten, twenty years from now, I doubt there'll be any substantial amount of people. It's hard for me to think of which people still consistently posting here who were posting when I first arrived on this board, aside from Damaramu and perhaps a few others I really can't think of many. And that's in a little over three years.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 I'm sure I'd be around in one way or another. Work and college haven't interrupted my tenure yet, so I doubt they will anytime soon. We need to keep this board running for our children! I would personally mark out if Little Anglesault tells his dad that he thinks Randy Orton is the best wrestler EVER. Guest Homeless Guy Spare Some Change Report post Posted January 19, 2004 maybe a time will come where i can buy a suit and look good for the boards. Everyone has habits that never die and for some people that might be using this board!
KanadianKrusty 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 I'll probably still be lurking in 2015 if this place is still around, but it just seems kinda weird to think that a MESSAGE BOARD can last that long...
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted January 19, 2004 This board would die without me. or more likely get alot better.

Papacita 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 I dunno. I'm not the most clique-ish person in the world, and my posting has already dropped off significantly from where it was when I started here, so I really can't see myself being around for a long time. Then again, I didn't see myself sticking around for two years either, so you never know.

Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 Unless a rash of people I like leave at once and really bad newbies take thier place then I think I'll be here. I think this is the 3rd version of the board I've been on...so I ain't going nowhere.
Guest Homeless Guy Spare Some Change Report post Posted January 20, 2004 The real question is, why would we want to hang around here? is it because we enjoy the communication with each other? or is it the fact that we can build a reputation with people we will probably never meet. Its amazing what people really think, would you be here if people thought you were a loser or a gimp, probably not, but why would you become happy or even egotistic to know people like you on these boards. Does that represent your true life, who knows, all i know is that i'm becoming to philisophical for my own good and i will shut it immediately. Thankyou for your time, and please leave some change
