Lil' Bitch

Why is it they never made a sequel to

Recommended Posts

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer - That was a shitty way to end the movie and

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

I would have figuered there would have been a Part 3 since Part 2 explained that the ending of Part 1 was just a dream sequence.

The Scorpion King -

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

The movie ended on a happy note. Now in the Mummy Returns opening sequence, it doesn't really connect well since all of a sudden, Mayathus is a villain. I know The SK was made after the MR, but since I'm referring to the movies' chronology, they don't tie in well nor make sense unless Mayathus's wife died or something.

and The Mummy Returns (I'm used to movies coming in trilogies nowadays)?

Give them time. Although, both did under perform at the box office and the success of another installment doesn't look to be that great. I think it would also be hard to get most of the casts back as their prices have gone up. It's not feasible.

Well, uh, both movies kinda sucked...Scorpion King is only tolerable if you're into uber-cheese (like myself and several others at the board), but ISKWYDLS? You need to be drugged to find something enjoyable in that piece of shit.

Every friggin teen slasher and horror film now do dumbass endings that leave things open for another movie.

Subjecting movies like ISKWYDLS to teenagers is one of the biggest reasons for the high suicide rates.

I always wanted a sequel to Half Baked, but I'm afraid the stupidity of part two might rip a hole in the space-time continuum.

Today, I just thought up a great name for a sequel to Half Baked, even though I haven't seen it. I was thinking it could be called Half Baked 2: The Stoned Age. :)

They didn't do a third I KNOW because Love would not take off her top to ensure that the male audience would show up.

Plus, it was just horrible to watch. I felt like saying sorry to myself after watching that load.

They already made a movie called "The Stoned Age".

More stupidity in a sequel? Come on, it's a stoner comedy. Stupidity is a gold mine to potheads.

The only movie that absolutely had to have a sequel was Back to the Future, and only because they flat out said "To Be Continued" at the end of the first one.

I'd go see a third I Know.

Yes, but you were pissed when Can't Hardly Wait didn't get a Best Picture nomination.

They didn't add that on until the home video version was released, though, and there were already plans for the last 2 movies (well, I guess they were past that stage).

About 30 seconds after telling me that I just had to hunt down a copy of Trojan War on DVD.

What about all of the other movies that set up a sequel at the end? There's quite a few of them ya know. Almost every summer movie sets up a sequel at the end.

Also Star Wars had to have a sequel more than Back to The Future.

Actually, the "To Be Continued" at the end of BTTF was there the first time I saw the movie in the theater about a week after it was released.
