Rumble match - ***1/2. Always hard to predict, but there's good enough workers in here and some good stories to make it quite entertaining.

HHH/HBK - ****1/2. Their match on Raw rocked, and with a good gimmick match like this and a PPV atmosphere I can only hope for more.

Holly/Lesnar - **1/2. I believe they can make a good story out of this even if Holly sucks really bad in the match. Just have him keep attacking Brock's neck, then let Brock let loose and kill the poor bastard.

Dudleys/Flair&Batista - **. Table matches with the Dudleys are usually right in this range, and I don't see Flair and Batista adding anything special to it.

Chavo/Eddy - ***1/4. Eddy will work hard as usual and try to make his nephew look good, but I don't see this being any better or worse than their WCW efforts.

Rey/Noble - ****. Give this 10+ minutes and I think they could grab this rating easy. Noble has those great looking moves and knows how to work a body part, and Rey knows exactly when to make comebacks and hit his spots.

Overall this has the makings of a great PPV.

Rumble Match

The past few years have been really good, especially 2001 and 2003. I'm thinking they can pull out another good one this year, especially with Benoit in there for likely the entire match. It can go up to a max of **** or more.

HHH vs. HBK

Their Raw match was really good, in **** range, so I think this one can go even higher.

Brock vs. Holly

Give this no more than 10 minutes and we're set for what could be a **1/2 to *** match. But then again, Brock isn't exactly one to carry Bob Holly to a good match, so it could either be decent or really bad. I just hope we don't see a DQ win for Holly to further the feud to No Way Out.

Eddie vs. Chavo

Smackdown has been giving this alot of TV time, so I would expect this to get 15-20 minutes. I've never seen the WCW matches, but if given enough time, I think these two can put on a really good match. Should be between *** and ****

Flair & Batista vs. Dudleys

I really don't mind this match except for Batista. Table matches aren't that great, but I'll probably enjoy it alot more when I'm there live. Let Flair do most of the work and it could be good. Between ** and ***

Rey vs. Noble

Like the Guerreros, if given enough time, which it probably won't, this could be really good. I haven't seen any Rey vs. Noble matches on SD that have really impressed me, though, so I wouldn't expect this to past ***1/2

Hmm, it's impossible to guess star ratings. Especially since no one is on the same scale anyway.

I think that HBK/HHH, Mysterio/Noble & Eddie/Chavo will all be good however. The Rumble itself will be entertaining, and I'm curious if WWE will let Batista/Flair keep the tag belts for no reason.

Rumble Match - This is a match that is great live, but usually isn't very good to watch after that(except for RR92). I don't think that this could break ***, but maybe they will prove me wrong.

HHH vs. HBK - After the great match they had on RAW a few weeks ago, this one might be a steller contest. Since I thought that the RAW match was ****, I will say this will be in that ballpark......hopefully.

Holly vs. Brock - Honestly, I think they have done a pretty decent job of building up Holly as a badass. Too bad they haven't built him up to be a good wrestler. I would be shocked if this match surpassed **1/2.

Eddy vs Chavito - This match should be pretty decent in ring, and the feud has been built up over the last how many months? But this will satisfy if it is given a reasonable amount of time. This could be anywhere in the *** to ***1/2 range. This could be terrible if only given a short amount of time though.

Flair/Bautista vs Dudleyz - I have absolutely no interest in this match at all. With Flair being the best worker at the age of 143 yrs old, Batista is horrible, and the Dudleyz MIGHT be the stalest wrestlers in the whole company.

Rey Rey vs. Noble - This falls into the same category as the Eddy/Chavo match as in it needs to be given proper time. If not this could be another poor PPV match from the Cruiserweights. This should be in the *** to **** area, but only if given the proper time.

HHH/HBK-****

Rumble-***

Eddie/Chavo-*** (I would give it more, however, I do not feel they will give it much time)

Noble/Rey-*** (Again, time issues)

Tag match-**

Overall I am looking forward to this ppv, wow, that is the first time I have said that in a long time. I actually would not be surprised by a **** rumble if Chris stays in for the duration. I have high hopes that this ppv will lead to a Crippler/HBK main event at mania. I actually have high hopes that WWE will turn things around and the road to Wrestlemania will actually be fun. Please don't let me down Vince, I want to like the product, I really do.

I don't think HHH-Shawn will be anywhere near as good as you guys do. That match on Raw blew away anything they did in 2002, and after multiple viewings I think **** is a bit generous for that one. LMS matches are generally bloody, garbage matches, which can be good...but man the garbage match they had at Armageddon 2002 was freakin terrible. The only LMS match I've ever seen that was slightly enjoyable was HHH vs. Jericho, and there's no way in hell this will be that good.

I'm thinking Noble-Rey will get about 7 minutes, Chavo-Eddie will get 10-12, the tag will get 10-12, Lesnar-Holly will get 10-15, and HBK-HHH will get 30-40.

Can I ask a question to those who it'd directed towards:

When you say **** for Triple H/HBK, do you mean ****, or **** for the WWE?

I see EXACTLY where this is going. This conversation has happened more times than I can count on here. **** is ****, and I know that this is your way of saying that you didn't think the Raw match was good. You could, however, just say that and predict a lower rating than others did. Instead, you calmly bash their taste in matches. I see right through this question.

What are you going to do next? Say that Puro-guy X vs. Puro-Guy Y sprinkled with some random date was much better than anything they'll ever do?

Rey Mysterio/Jamie Noble getting ***1/2 match on PPV?! PFFT!!!

Mysterio/Noble: * (it will get 5 minutes maybe)

Holly/Brock: ** (has chance to be good)

Evolution/Dudleyz: **1/2 (I like table matches, but who will lose if the Dudleyz win)

Eddy/Chavo: *** (Depends on how the match works. If chavo stalls for 5 yrs, then 1/2*)

HHH/HBK: **** (It won't be as good as RAW match, because we've seen these two fight enough since SSlam and wont be anything new)

Rumble *** (I always give it this because its hard to predict)

mysterio/noble - **1/2 (doubt this will get the time it deserves)

table match - **

World title - ****

WWE title - **1/2

eddie/chavo - ***1/2 (agreed on the time)

rumble - *** to **** (should be good)

I would gladly give chavo/eddie and mysterio/noble more but I have a feeling they will get screwed on time thanks to the 20 minute "will foley show up" segment I have a feeling we will get.

He said that a **** rating may only be accurate in WWE land. Sure he might be comaring it to ROH, MLW, etc., but I figured he'd be like everyone who's ever said that before, and would compare it to Puro. He didn't say it, I just saw it coming.

Typically, people have lower standards for WWE matches. I don't think that's arguable, is it?

It is. It's been argued. Plus, it's really hard to tell if someone is setting lower standards. By that I mean it's damn near impossible to tell.

Rumble match - ** (Not actually based on anything, so that's all I will give it. I hate battle royales, so since 50% of the match will at least be crowded, I can't go up to give them ***.)

HHH/HBK - *** 1/2 (Euck, I feel like I'm overrating this... I shouldn't rate HBK's matches; mainly cause I can't stand him.)

Holly/Lesnar - **1/2 (Eh..)

Dudleys/Flair&Batista - * (There is nothing good here. That one star is for a big bump which will probably be batista powerbombing Dvon off the apron and through a table OMG DID YOU SEE THAT!!!)

Chavo/Eddy - *** (I'm not very high on Eddie right now; he hasn't really produced anything at a level that tells me this will be a ***1/2+ match. The General keeps this above **1/2 though.)

Rey/Noble - *** 1/4 (I don't think any cruiserweight matches go beyond ***1/2 in the WWE, do they? Not since Taka/Sasuke, at least. Loses 1/4 *'s for Nidia being involved, somehow.)

Horrible match due to the fact of the political pull of both the men.

Royal Rumble: * to ****

Holly/Lesnar:- **

See HHH vs Steiner last year

Batista and Flair/Dudleyz: *1/2

Who cares?

Mysterio/Noble: 1/2

Will have about 5 mins.

HHH vs HBK-***

No way I'm going over 4 for a prediction, even if it does contain HBK.

Rumble-N/A

I hate Scott Keith, but I agree with his don't rate battle royals policy. It's all dependent on how they arrange for who to eliminate whoever at the right times. The match drama is made up more by the order of who comes in and who is eliminated by whom than by the actual work of the wrestlers. That would give credit to the bookers, which I refuse to do during this day and age of wrestling.

Flair/Bautista vs Dudley's Tables Match-*

That's actually a one star, not a negative. However I can see these 4 men getting into negative stars for this match. I have no motivation at all to see this potential drivel. I'm calling this to be the shittiest match of the night.

Lesnar vs Holly-**

This match got saved from worse match of the night because of the lameass tables match. This won't be worthy of being a title match on the second biggest show of the year, but it will probrably garner some decent crowd heat to mask the mediocre ring work these 2 will bring.

Chavo vs Eddy-***

Eddy being in the ring with someone like Chavo immediately gets the match to the 3 snowflake range, although if Chavo just cruises, I could see this disappointing a lot of smarks.

Rey vs Knoble-***

Should be good. If given the right amount of time and a clean finish, will make a great opener. However, this is WWE, what are the chances of a clean finish? Expect Tajiri and Co. to interfere and take the star range off this bad boy down a snowflake or two.

It's funny how times change. At Summerslam, in HBK's comeback match, we were all predicting a disaster. Let's hope our **** predictions come true!

You know, I too am disinterested in the Tag Match, but from the Bubba Ray matches I've watched recently, old and new, he's a much smarter wrestler than people give him credit for. It kinda shocked me to notice it at first, but while not exactly a 'ring general', he's not that far off.

And before everyone starts the 'OH Bubba's he es a hoss he sux doodz¬!', I'm not saying he should be pushed or given a title or whatever. It was just an observation.

Jeez, it wasn't about what I thought of the match, some people rate differently for the WWE, I figured I should ask if that were the case.

Royal Rumble: * to ****

* if anyone else than Benoit wins, **** if Benoit wins

I want Benoit to win as much as anyone, but don't you think you're overreacting just a tad? Match quality depends on a little more than who goes over, IMO. Do you consider every match that Benoit loses to be *?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to what I hope will be an enjoyable PPV:

Royal Rumble: ***1\4 - It's always difficult to gauge the quality of this sort of match, but I generally enjoy the Rumble because there's lots going on so at least it isn't dull. There's plenty of angles going in to the match, and hopefully the better workers will spend the majority of time in the ring and the big men will be used wisely.

HBK/HHH: *** - I loved their match on Raw at the end of the year and they will surely attempt to top it at the Rumble, but I don't think they quite will, because the stipulation will mean loads of weapons and stalling. Should be enjoyable enough however, and the heat should be great.

Brock/Holly: **1/4 - I expect a stiff brawl that tells a simple story here. Both better workers than a lot of people give credit for, and the story going in has been good.

Eddie/Chavo: ***1/2 - I'm expecting this to have plenty of time, considering how much they've devoted to it on Smackdown, and I really enjoy watching both men in the ring, so I'm hoping for a lot of energy and emotion in this one. Hopefully we'll get it. Probable MOTN IMO.

Rey/Noble: ** - I've given up on believing the cruisers will ever get a decent amount of time for a PPV match, so I expect this will be short and sweet in order for Austin to waste up some screen time.

Evolution/Dudleys: 3/4* - Reasonable ring work here and not much else. Gets 1/4* for an opportunity to drunkenly shout 'Wooo!' at my TV.

DA... isn't SummerSlam the second largest show of the yearwith RR coming in at #3? Also, judging by the amount of TV Time the Eddy/Chavo Saga has recieved I don't think time will be a problem in their match tonight.

Anyhoo...

The Royal Rumble Match

Prediction: *** 1/2 - **** 1/4

World Heavyweight Championship (Last Man Standing rules):

Triple H © vs. Shawn Michaels

Prediction: **** 1/4

WWE Championship

Brock Lesnar © vs. Hardcore Holly

Prediction: ** 3/4

Eddy Guerrero vs. Chavo Guerrero

Prediction: *** 1/2

World Tag Team Championship (Table Match rules):

Ric Flair and Batista © vs. Dudley Boys

Prediction: **

WWE Cruiserweight Championship:

Rey Mysterio © vs. Jamie Knoble

Prediction: ** 1/4

Jamie Knoble v. Rey Misterio Jr. = **1/4

It'll be given at the most, 7 minutes, but I believe they can deliver. I see Rey going over.

Ric Flair/Batista v. The Dudleys (Table Match) = DUD

This'll wrongly be given ten minutes. Ugh. I'm sick of tables matches and I'm sick of the Dudleys. I hope that Evolution kicks the everloving shit out of the Dudleys and retains the belts. Also, I hope New Jack does a run in, coming off the heels of his funny-ass CZW shoot promo. "Fuck Vince, Fuck Paul E, Fuck D-Von, Fuck Bubba, Fuck They Momma, Fuck They Daddy, Fuck All those motherfuckers"

Chavo Guerrero Jr. v. Eddy Guerrero = ***

They'll give this one at the least, 15 minutes. I expected a screwjob finish at the end with Chavo Sr. & Kurt Angle to build towards a proper rematch at No Way Out where it can get more time and possibly a slot before the proper main event. But what we'll see at the Rumble will be good stuff.

Brock Lesnar v. Hardcore Holly = *

And I'm being generous. I expected a Philly crowd massacre on Hardcore Holly which hopefully leads to a "Hogan @ WM X-8" type role reversal and a quick Brock victory, somewhere under 15 minutes.

HHH v. Shawn Michaels (Last Man Standing) = ***3/4

Trips seems to only care when he's fighting Shawn, so I expect this to be good, long, and bloody. I'm predicting them going around 20 minutes. Expect Evolution interference.

Royal Rumble Match = *** (and higher)

This has all the talent to make it the best Rumble ever. The Iron Man will be Chris Benoit and I expect a Flair-like performance out of him.
