Lord of The Curry Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 At No Way Out, Goldberg shows up and takes his seat in the front row. When Brock vs Eddy goes down, during a ref bump Goldberg runs in, spears Brock, Jackhammers him and leaves. Eddy covers, 1-2-3, new champ. The next night on RAW, Vince McMahon shows up with Brock, furious and demanding Goldberg. The two have a face off with Vince holding Brock back saying he can't afford to have him kill Goldberg. Then Austin comes out and says the two should settle it at Mania. Vince says no way. Then Goldberg and Brock grab him at the same time and demand that he make the match. Vince does the big gulp thing and says it's on. But then he says to Austin that since it was his idea, he can deal with it and appoints Austin special guest referee. Come on. It could logically happen, methinks.
RavishingRickRudo Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I told you man, DO NOT CALL THIS! DO NOT CALL THIS! man... you don't know the repercussions of what you just posted will mean. MY GOD MAN, HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT YOU'VE DONE!! Good call though, sets up Goldberg vs. Stone Cold JIC Benoit falls flat on his face... cause lord knows, that boy can't draw...
Lil' Bitch Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I think it will happen more like: At No Way Out, Goldberg shows up and takes his seat in the front row. When Brock vs Eddy goes down, during a ref bump Goldberg runs in, spears Brock and leaves. Eddy gives the Frog Splash covers, 1-2-3, new champ. Hopefully, Brock destroys Bill at WM.
JN News Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 As long as Shitberg jobs to Brock, and leaves forever, that's fine with me.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I can see that happening. But I would think Austin's stunner would decide the Mania match. Sending Goldberg out.
Guest Deebo Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 That is a pretty good idea but I don't see it happening for the simple fact that I think this match is going to be built up on Smackdown. With Benoit-HBK-HHH, Undertaker-Kane, Foley-Orton already on RAW, I cannot see room for Brock-Goldberg too. Smackdown needs SOMETHING besides the inevitable Eddie-Angle feud.
Vern Gagne Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 I'd like to hope Eddie gets somewhat of a clean pin. Maybe have Goldberg's presence keep Lesnar off his game all night. Goldberg hitting the jackhammer on Lesnar only lessens Eddie's win. He's the champ going into WM, and needs a clean win.

That sounds right to me to. I think they may do it next Monday, just because it is the night after the PPV, but Smackdown isn't mentioned all that much anyway, so they may wait. I guess the other big Smackdown one will be the US Title Show/Cena, which will be furthered with Angle winning #1 contender. So that evens it to about three "big ones" for each show to build, along with the rest. RAW - Benoit-HHH-HBK , Foley-Orton, Undertaker-Kane SD - Angle-Eddie, Brock-Goldberg, Show-Cena
haVoc Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 After the developments on RAW this past Monday, the plan appears to be to have Steve Austin be the special ref for the Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar WrestleMania XX match. It is likely that the match will not involve the WWE Title as the Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle WMXX match is now expected to be for the belt. Adding Austin to the Goldberg/Brock match adds more star power to the highest profile match on the card. The addition of Austin also seems to end speculation that Austin would wrestle at WMXX, possibly against Hulk Hogan. Credit: PWTorch.com/411 Does this match really need Austin? You know some how Austin will over shadow the actual match.
notJames Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Two stunners, both men counted out, Austin declares himself the winner. OR Brock beats Goldberg (to thunderous NYC applause). Brock mouths off to Austin. Austin stunners Brock to "send the folks home happy". ::shakes head::
OldSchoolWrestling Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 I called it yesterday that Austin would stunner Goldberg to give Brock the win. But as the referee? Hmm...wonder if they'd turn him heel.
Damaramu Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Dammit this should be about the match not Austin. I smell a Sportz Entertainment finish coming along. And one of the WWE's BS heat killer moves that they claim "Sends the fans home happy!" as someone above said.
CanadianChris Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 If this is the last match on the card, I will be...irritated.
Michrome Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Austin "turning heel" on Berg would not work. Fans would go nuts for it.
Lil' Bitch Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 The addition of Austin also seems to end speculation that Austin would wrestle at WMXX, possibly against Hulk Hogan Darn.
Guest nikowwf Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Why do people want Hogan to be on the card? He overshadows everyone else to the detriment of the product, all while having a sh*tty match in the process. And last time he left after a raw which he was made the superpower, leaving Angle and Brock looking like b*tches, and still was complaining his push was not enough. Fuck him. If he is never in a WWE ring again, the product will be better for it. niko
Guest Besus Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Stone Cold slap the mat slowly. Stone Cold refuse to count to 1,2 and 3. Stone Cold stuns Goldberg. Brock Lesnar wins and celebrates. Stone Cold gets beer and gives it to Brock Lesnar. Stone Cold then stuns Brock Lesnar. Stone Cold celebrates as the crowd cheer. Brock Lesnar and Goldberg is on the mat knockedout. Can you see it?
AndrewTS Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Maybe this means Austin will finally be ready to job to Brock Lesnar? Why's everyone laughing?
Guest unleashedfury Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 I pray to god this is just a rumer. Austin should stay away from this match as far as possible since he will steal the crowd attention from the actual opponents. Besides, don't tell me that Austin is just gonna referee the match without fooling around with Both Goldberg and Brock. I can see it right now : 1-Austin gives the middle finger to Brock. 2-He starts drinking beer in the middle of the match. 3-Austin counts slowly for Brock and fast for Goldberg. 4-Austin gets accidently speared by Goldberg, he doesn't count when Brock's shoulders are down. 5-Austin wakes up and give a stunner to both Goldberg and Brock. 6-Austin starts the 10 count when both of them struggle on their feet. 7-Brock applies the brock lock until Goldberg pass out. 8-Austin gives Brock another stunner to "send the fans home happy" One way or another, this match is gonna be Austin's match while Brock is gonna look like his bitch and his win would have meant absolutely nothing thanks to Austin already stealing his thunder. I hope I'm wrong.

DrVenkman PhD Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 Somewhat related, remember the Austin vs Vince rumours? Anyone think that the angle with Vince being pissed at Bischoff on Raw (and subsequently more pissed this coming Monday after Goldberg shows up at No Way Out) is setting up a match between the two at Mania instead of the above rumoured match (for Eric to job in, of course)?
Austin3164life Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 I don't think this is a good idea. If they want Austin a part of WM XX, then they should've done the Austin/Hogan idea. If they go through with this, then they shouldn't have Austin interfere during the match, but after the match have the big confrontation with Austin and Goldberg. After 'berg loses they can have a brawl with a Stunner to Goldberg for retaliation after getting speared. Brock doesn't lose heat by winning (Austin raising Brock's arm in victory sounds cool), and since Goldberg is leaving, it really won't matter anyways.
Just call me Dan Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 There is absolutely NO WAY Austin would be allowed to punk out both guys. this is getting WAY overblown. when it comes to guys who are on top of the card, ESPECIALLY two big hulking guys, Austin LOSES. I don't really want him in this match either, but jumping to the conclusion that this is all for austin to walk all over both guys is ridiculous. Austin won't be allowed to look better than Lesnar, and the only way something will happen to Goldberg is if that is the WWE's way of sending him on his way.

Boner Kawanger Posted February 12, 2004 Report Posted February 12, 2004 I think it will happen more like: At No Way Out, Goldberg shows up and takes his seat in the front row. When Brock vs Eddy goes down, during a ref bump Goldberg runs in, spears Brock and leaves. Eddy gives the Frog Splash covers, 1-2-3, new champ. Hopefully, Brock destroys Bill at WM. How about Eddy cheats behind Brock's back, pissing Brock off. Eddy fingers Goldberg, who is just eyeing Lesnar from his seat. Brock snaps, takes off after Goldberg, allowing Eddy to cheat some more and get an advantage. Instead of Goldberg straight up interferring, Eddy uses him to throw Brock off of his game. This, of course, only makes Eddy, the next WWE Champion, look good, so nevermind.
Lord of The Curry Posted February 13, 2004 Author Report Posted February 13, 2004 What's up with this thread merging bullshit? My original thread had me "calling it" and this one doesn't. NOW THEY WON'T BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THAT I CALLED IT!
Guest Loss Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 Look at the date on your post. It's before No Way Out. Either you underestimate people or I overestimate them. I'm tempted to lean toward the latter.
