Guest SpyderByte Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Most of us are dreading the main event of WrestleMania being a Triple Threat between Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, and Triple H for the WWE World Title. Now it's time to try to do something about it. An online petition has been started, with the goal being to make it to the "main" wrestling web sites in a few days. If you want WWE to rethink their apparent plans, help the cause and put your John Hancock right next to ours. If you're cynical and pessimistic, keep your comments to yourself. Several years back an online petition caused WWE to give The Blue Meanie his job back. There's always a chance. Nothing good has ever come from not trying. Fortune favors the bold. http://www.petitiononline.com/WMXX/petition.html
Guest SpyderByte Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 ...The petition is to make it a singles match or a series of singles matches like WrestleMania X (HHH/Michaels then HHH/Benoit or something similar), not a triple threat match. Nobody is debating whether the match should be the main event or not. Also, yes, there are only nine signatures so far. That's because it just started. Everything has to start somewhere.
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 A petition won't change the WWE's mind. Plus, by the time it will get 500,000 signatures(what I think Vince will think is a large amount of people), according to Bobby Heenan, "it will be Wrestlemania 38!"
Use Your Illusion Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 You're asking Vince to listen to his fans. Good luck. UYI

Guest Corino 1000 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I haven't watched RAW in a couple of weeks is main event for Wrestlemain a three way ladder match?Or a regular three way dance?
CanadianChris Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Right now, the "contract" reads HHH vs. Shawn Michaels. They haven't made the complete match yet.
art_vandelay Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 It's honestly touching to see someone care about something so much that he'd take the effort to start a petition. Seriously. I commend you. I will sign.

No, we want a three way because Vince said so.
Guest Corino 1000 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I doubt Vince will change the main event but whatever I signed.
Styles Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 From HHH's allusion to WMX, I think we're heading into the 2 seperate title match direction...
Jobber of the Week Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 online petition http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/petition/internet.htm
Guest wildpegasus Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I'm signing. Only good can come from this. A drop of water by itself will not do much but you keep on combining and combining those drops and you'll get the force of a tidal wave. Fight the good fight

Nobody is debating whether the match should be the main event or not. Anybody else find it funny that in HHH's interview he taked about the WMX or how there was no way in hell he was going to do that. I cause that was his way of telling the smarks it's not going to happen.

Karc Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Right now, the "contract" reads HHH vs. Shawn Michaels. They haven't made the complete match yet. Okay, here's a question I have been meaning to ask, wouldn't a WM contract already have the participants name somewhere other than the sig spot. For example.... "This contract is a legal agreement signing the World Heavyweight Championship Match for Wrestlemania 20, featuring Chris Benoit and Triple H. Both participants, by signing this contract agree to...." So wouldn't HBK's signiture be considered illegal...? Oh and the petition, not going to do anything.
Lil' Bitch Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 If anything, HBK's signature would make it void hence them having to print out another copy of the contract. Oh wait, I'm sorry, that's too logical for WWE.
Downhome Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I equate this to a retarded person dancing around and singing. It's so cute, but also kind of sad.
chaosrage Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 "Oh, hey some guys on the internet don't like my main event. Well in that case I think I'll go and change it right now! brb"
nl5xsk1 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I think the fact that the arena started chanting "HBK" when the Bisch told hhh to pick his opponent for Wrestlemania will carry more weight than an internet-based petition.
haVoc Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Yeah, but as always, once the match got going Benoit won half of them over and HBK was getting booed.
KTID Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I think the fact that the arena started chanting "HBK" when the Bisch told hhh to pick his opponent for Wrestlemania will carry more weight than an internet-based petition. There is absolutely no hiding from this fact. As much as some of you may hate it, *Chris Benoit is not over enought to headline WrestleMania XX*.
humongous2002 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Yawn, another petition, it worked for the Meanie getting his WWF job back, yeah, i saw him main eventing on RAW last night or was it at a high school gym??
Guest Repo Man Reborn Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Can we sing a petition to get Triple H excluded from the main event?
