There is a rumour circulating that HHH does not want to work with Chris Benoit after Wrestlemania XX and is pushing to have Edge on RAW so he could work an angle with him. If this rumour is remotely true expect HBK to cost Benoit and himself the title at WrestleMania. That could lead to a match between HBK and Benoit in Edmonton with HBK being the heel.

I don't see what indicates that HHH is going over. Although the clever thing to do is to have HHH retain at Mania and have Benoit chasing into Backlash, which is in Edmonton.

 

Everyone can agree with me here that winning the title at WM is more important than at a 2nd rate PPV even if it is your hometown.

Last year they didn't want both titles to change hands, the same thing is happening this year. Eddie will retain and the PPV will go off the air with Benoit holding his gold. Yes, it's a good thing. It's not like the Torch is THAT credible either to be honest. Meltzer is the only one who seems to deliver the goods in terms of these scandal sheets.

 

HHH retaining makes utterly no sense at all, not gonna happen. I can see Shawn winning just to bring that whole angle to some closure, and then Benoit goes after him for stealing his shot and all. HHH winning to close a 5 HOUR show though? I would hope MSG would riot.

My hope is that since most of the WrestleMania tickets were sold via the internet before the official WrestleMania onsale, that would mean a predominantly smark crowd.

To be perfectly honest with you all, after the way Benoit has acted and been recieved since arriving on RAW...I'm really not too keen on him winning the belt.
