Prophet of Mike Zagurski 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 I can't believe that if you have a semi credible website and post news like that then people want kill HHH. I'd wait till Wrestlemania in order to past judgment.
dubq 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 There is a rumour circulating that HHH does not want to work with Chris Benoit after Wrestlemania XX and is pushing to have Edge on RAW so he could work an angle with him. If this rumour is remotely true expect HBK to cost Benoit and himself the title at WrestleMania. That could lead to a match between HBK and Benoit in Edmonton with HBK being the heel. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 I don't see what indicates that HHH is going over. Although the clever thing to do is to have HHH retain at Mania and have Benoit chasing into Backlash, which is in Edmonton. Everyone can agree with me here that winning the title at WM is more important than at a 2nd rate PPV even if it is your hometown.
Guest Deviant Report post Posted February 18, 2004 Rajah appeals to popular prejudice, people buy it. Typical. Last year they didn't want both titles to change hands, the same thing is happening this year. Eddie will retain and the PPV will go off the air with Benoit holding his gold. Yes, it's a good thing. Yes, it's happening in WWE. I understand doubting WWE's ability to do anything right, but sometimes it's just insane. Of course, watch HBK win now that I've said that... Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 Another day, another volley of HHHate. You just know it's gonna happen. Like the sunrise. Whoa. We need more mods like you. Anyway, HHH or no HHH, I've always figured that Benoit will never win the title, so there's really no anger or rage from me here.
Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted February 18, 2004 I believe this report is complete and total fiction. Afterall, I don't need a report to tell me HHH is going to win. I already know that. Seriously, I like Benoit, but the guy is too much of a nice guy. He's all, "I'll work hard and be loyal, and I'm bound to be appreciated." While being nice will keep you in the company, it won't stop others from walking all over you. Just ask Bret Hart.
Slickster 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 Who bloody cares about what some second-rate newsboard had to say? All this does it piss off the optimists and cause the pesimists to say "I told you so." Wait until March 15th before you start bitching. The Voice of Reason in this thread! cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 It's not like the Torch is THAT credible either to be honest. Meltzer is the only one who seems to deliver the goods in terms of these scandal sheets. HHH retaining makes utterly no sense at all, not gonna happen. I can see Shawn winning just to bring that whole angle to some closure, and then Benoit goes after him for stealing his shot and all. HHH winning to close a 5 HOUR show though? I would hope MSG would riot.
JHawk 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 My hope is that since most of the WrestleMania tickets were sold via the internet before the official WrestleMania onsale, that would mean a predominantly smark crowd. A predominantly smark crowd that chants "bullshit" at any finish other than HHH tapping out to Benoit's Crippler Crossface. Eh, I suppose I can let them accept HBK tapping out, because chanting "bullshit" there might be misconstrued as Benoit's win being bullshit. But there BETTER ne a fucking tapout somewhere to end that match.
Guest Quik Report post Posted February 18, 2004 Nobody... and I mean nobody, would be stupid enough to let HHH retain at Wrestlemania. Worst case scenario we face is HBK winning. You can make as many jokes as you want about WWE logic, but no one who wants to keep the company in business would let HHH retain.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 Seriously, the Booker T situation should not be underplayed or discounted as they had their foremost "journalist" go on their website and say specifically that the race angle was a good idea because Booker would win in the end. Guest Coffey Report post Posted February 18, 2004 To be perfectly honest with you all, after the way Benoit has acted and been recieved since arriving on RAW...I'm really not too keen on him winning the belt. I'd much prefer Shawn to go over, myself. My thoughts exactly.
