Aero Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 Clue 10/10 Well, it is one of my favorite movies.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 8-Mile. (7.5/10). Not that I give a shit about Em or most rap anyways.
HarleyQuinn Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 Dazed & Confused - 10/10 Get Shorty - 8/10 House of 1000 Corpses - 1/10
BlackFlagg Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 not a movie but bleh X-Files season 1 - 9.5/10
DCMaximo Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Pleasantville (8/10) and a few random episodes of Cheers from the DVD of the first series, all of which were between 8-10/10
HarleyQuinn Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Yesterday... Deliverance - 8/10 Battlefield Earth - 1/10
Youth N Asia Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 The Rundown 6.5 out of 10 Fun movie, by no means a classic. But something I can see myself watching again. The action was way over the top, but it worked. The comedy however was very hit and miss.
Nevermortal Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Yesterday: From Hell = 7/10 Plot was iffy.
HarleyQuinn Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake - 4/10, radically different from the original and not for the better in my opinion. Too many minor things made me mad and the original was genuinely creepy throughout whereas this was creepy more in quick bursts.
starvenger Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Just got back from "Walking Tall". I'll call it about 6/10, and I guess I'll start another thread about it...
Guest OctoberBlood Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Never Die Alone (5.5/10) This movie defines mediocrity. It could've been half way good, because the story was solid, but the direction, acting (besides Michael Ealy) was all wrong and off. The movie had decent parts in the beginning and at the end, but in between - it was pretty much garbage.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Along Came Polly (7.0/10) Obviously not a great movie or anything, but being a fan of PSH and Ben Stiller, I enjoyed it - and thought it was funny. Seymour was great and I liked the movie from start to end really. Fun time.
Zorin Industries Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 2 from the past couple of days: Profondo Rosso 9/10 Absolutly fantastic, great atmosphere and very tense. Plus the identity of the killer surprised me, as I had it pegged to be someone else nearly all the way through. Add in Goblin's best score and you have a sure fire winner The Keep 8/10 Another great soundtrack on here from Tangerine Dream. It does help bump up the score as the film seems to have taken a lot of hits in the editing room. The story is not very coherent, but it has a great dreamlike quality that keeps you watching. Plus it has my favourite Sir Ian McKellan scene from any of his movies (anyone who has seen the movie might know which one I mean)
ArkhamGlobe Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Last night I rewatched Branded to Kill, which is absolutely insane. I love that movie.
Youth N Asia Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge 2 out of 10 I liked this a lot more when I was a kid. Awful awful movie. With an ending that is such balls. I think this tops 6 as worst in the series.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 I've watched stuff that i've already seen. The only new film that I have seen is... The One - 4/10 I never got around to seeing it in theatres, and I haven't picked up the DVD, but it was one movie that I always wanted to see. It came on FX last night... Jet Li's performance (Which gets better every film) and the beginning/final action sequences were the only thing that could save this film. - The special effects were crap. Beating the crap out of Police Officers with Motorcycles ? Come on... - The supporting cast is wasted. It seems that they spent more time on effects than character development. Delroy Lindo - Wasted. Jason Statham - Wasted, and put's on one of the worst accents i've ever seen. Carla Gugino - Wasted.
Guest T®ITEC Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 The Ladykillers - 8/10 ... I don't quite know what to make of this film. Hilarious...? Yeah, that'll suffice.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Crazy/Beautiful (8.0/10) Sure, I'm a sap. Dunst was great.
starvenger Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 - The supporting cast is wasted. It seems that they spent more time on effects than character development. Delroy Lindo - Wasted. Si82 Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Yesterday: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) (6/10)
DCMaximo Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Yesterday Mountain Of The Cannibal God 7.5/10 Lost half a mark for the castration scene which was pretty horrific Today Mystery Men-9/10 Just a great cast- Ben Stiller, William H Macy, Janeane Garofalo, Geoffrey Rush etc. Great film
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Walking Tall (2004) (6.5/10) Not a great film, and it focuses very little on detail, and is basicly your tpyical mindless fun action movie. The Rock was good, but the direction and script seemed really weak. I just couldn't get into it as much as I wanted to because of the little detail, but for what it is - a little action flick, it was fine and fun.
Youth N Asia Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Pulp Fiction 9 out of 10 Love the movie. But the deal with Vega and Mia drags on a little long. My only real complaint
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 Eternal Sunshire...or Eternal Darkness...or Eternal whatever its called. I saw that new Jim Carrey movie tonight and thought it was fantastic. 9/10
spiny norman Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 Monsters Inc: 8/10 The first time I saw it I loved it, this was my second and it wasn't quite as enjoyable, but it's still a pretty good kiddies flick.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 The Lost Boys: 8/10 Always a mark out movie of mine. Gotta love the 80's. Return Of The Living Dead: 7/10 The black dudes "Acting" skills drag this puppy down. I don't think he goes one sentence without screaming "fuck" "fucking" "Motherfucker" "motherfucking" or "fucker".
