treble Posted February 29, 2004 Report Posted February 29, 2004 NHL: -Leafs -To a lesser degree, the Western Canadian teams (Oilers more than the Flames/Canucks) MLB: -Blue Jays -Expos NBA: -Raptors, I guess, although mostly because I want a reason to care about the playoffs. NFL: -No one in particular. CFL: -Maybe Toronto, but I like Montreal, too. I'm usually just happy if it's a good game. I don't give 2 shits about college sports.

Sandman9000 Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 NY Yankees. Seattle Supersonics. Michigan Wolverines. Green Bay Packers (kinda).
Guest OctoberBlood Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 MLB: Cincinnati Reds MLB is the only sport I truly care about and would do anything to watch, or take part in, but I do follow the Celtics and Bengals respectively in each of the other two major sports. I like Hockey, but never really got into it. NFL doesn't spark as much instrest in me. I'm beginning to like the NBA more and more, even though Boston is rebuilding. So yeah, the Cincinnati Reds, since I was born, has been in my blood, and is really the only team I'd do almost anything for. As for Nascar. Dale Jr and Jermey Mayfield.
Guest Choken One Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Bengals and Reds for Pro Sports... Bearcats for College. I don't care for hockey much... NBA, I usually enjoy the entertaining teams like Minn or NJ.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 NBA: Stupid ass Sport NFL: New York Giants New York Jets MLB: Boston Red Sox NHL: New York Rangers New York Islanders
Cuban Linx Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 NBA: Portland Trailblazers Seattle Supersonics to a lesser extent (liked them back in the Shawn Kemp days) NFL: Tennessee Titans I also don't mind the Vikings, as they were the first team to grab my attention in 1998 when i first started actively watching. NHL: Los Angeles Kings, though i only pay a great deal of attention to the NHL come playoff time. MLB: I haven't followed Baseball much at all in the past but i'm going to start paying attention this year, so whoever grabs my eye first will probably end up being my favorite.
Steviekick Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Anglesault is NBA hating just because he doesn't have game. The only pro sport that I actively follow is NBA basketball. The teams I route for are the Jazz and 76ers, but I do follow what goes on with the Knicks and Mavs. This season I've begrudingly picked up caring about the Lakers since I am a mark for Karl Malone.

Styles Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 MLB: ORIOLES! NBA: Wizards ( ) NFL: Ravens, but mostly to annoy everyone else I know who is obsessed with the Redskins. I'm not a big football fan anyway. College: University Of Delaware Blue Hens Football (the NCAA-IAA National Champs!!!), Basketball and probably Baseball too (gotta root for my school!)

The Czech Republic Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Oh by the way, my teams: Cubs, Hawks, Bears, Bulls. I also have a soft spot for the Expos. The Ottawa Senators have been my adopted team since the Blackhawks went to shit mid-season last year, thanks a lot Mr. Theoren Fleury. I don't follow the NFL enough to root for a second team. I don't follow the NBA much either, though the Utah Jazz have cuaght my interest this year just to see what they can possibly do with no Stockton no Malone, just Jerry Sloan and a handful of dreams.

Damaramu Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 I don't really follow specific teams in NHL and NBA. I just watch and root for whoever I feel like. But for the rest: MLB: Red Sox NCAA(everything): OU and Michigan NFL: Eagles, Chiefs, 49ers
Matt Young Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 I'm from the central Illinois area, so I grew up watching Chicago and St. Louis sports teams. My entrie family is full of Cubs fans, actually. Strangely enough, however, my hoemtown fandom only applies to baseball and pro basketball. NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves (liked them before they were good), Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers (liked them before they got Shaq and started winning again. Now theyr'e my new hometown team.) MLB: Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees (I staretd watching baseball during the '96 playoffs- of course I became a Yankee fan.) NFL: Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers (fan since '95) NHL: I hardly ever watch hockey, but I've had an affinity for the New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues since I saw Gretzky play for both teams. Also, St. Louis was the "hometown team" for me, and the Junior Blues played in Springfield, IL, where I grew up. NCAA Football: Michigan Wolverines, Oklahoma Sooners (My best friend's family was from OK and I grew up watching Sooner games.) NCAA Basketball: Michigan Wolverines, Wake Forest Deamon Deacons (Ever since losing weight last year, I've been able to fit into my Tim Duncan Wake jersey from 7th grade, heh) Arena League Football: Los Angeles Avengers I think that covers it all.

Especially on the home team....OK I'm bitching when the Knicks are called on traveling all the time vs. the home teams.
