EVIL~! alkeiper Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 MLB: Philadelphia Phillies are my first interest. I also cheer for the A's and Cardinals when they're on. I tend to cheer for the underdog otherwise. NFL: When I do watch, the Eagles. Also a passing interest in the Arizona Cardinals. I tend not to watch as I work Sundays, and thus the games conflict with my schedule. NBA: 76ers. NHL: Not really a fan. I'll take interest in big Flyers games, but that's it.
Ced Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 NBA: Sacramento Kings (I'd like to say I was a die hard and have been rooting for them ever since the days of the Gary St. Jean-coached regime, but, nope, I turned into a fan when they converted to the purple and got good.) Los Angeles Clippers (I root them on for continuing to play despite having one of the worst owners in the league that puts $'s over W's.) NFL: Indianapolis Colts (Since Manning entered the league) NCAA: San Jose State Spartans & CSUS Hornets (Only follow them because I plan to go to one of those colleges for my Bachelor's Degree. God, help me, do they ever suck...)
Guest Flyboy Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 NFL: New Orleans Saints NBA: Orlando Magic (for McGrady) College Basketball: Texas Longhorns Gonzaga.. for some odd reason. College Football: Texas Longhorns Virginia Tech Hokies

Spaceman Spiff Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 MLB - Philadelphia Phillies NBA - Philadelphia 76ers NHL - Philadelphia Flyers (although, I pay *way* more attention during the playoffs than the reg. season) NFL - Miami Dolphins NCAA - Penn State, U. of Miami (FL)

KingPK Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 MLB: The SAWX~! NHL: Bruins, but not a serious fan of hockey NFL: NE Pats NBA: Haven't been a fan since the Basketball Jesus retired When you grow up in New England (except for Connecticut, and misguided Rhode Islanders *coughZACKcough*), you root for the Boston teams. It's preordained.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 MLB - Los Angeles Dodgers NBA - L.A Clippers, I also root for Spurs and Pacers because of Duncan and Reggie NHL - Anaheim Mighty Ducks, but I don't really follow the sport NFL - Atlanta Falcons, Vick has been my hero since the BCS Championship game vs FSU NCAA - UCLA Bruins

Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 I like to balance my shitty teams with good ones, thus, I like The Cubs, The Yankees, The Bears, and The Dolphins. Otherwise, I'm not particularly interested in team sports.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Football is the only sport I really follow now, but I have favorite teams in all. NFL Browns Bucs(distant second, but i like having afc and nfc) NBA Celtics(since Bird) Cavs(just because they're the home state team) MLB Indians and Reds(I don't like baseball, but I support the home state teams) NHL Columbus Bluejackets(home town team) Bruins NCAA Buckeyes
nl5xsk1 Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 NHL: Boston Bruins (although I also like to see the Canucks and Oilers play well) NFL: New England Patriots (with the Bears and Seahawks at #s 2 & 3) NCAA Football: Colorado State Rams (with BC as my #2) MLB: I'm pretty apathetic, but if I had to pick a team it'd be either the Red Sox or Rockies. NBA: Same as MLB, more apathetic than anything but if pressed to pick a team to root for it'd be the Celts and Nuggets.
AlwaysPissedOff Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars MLB: Atlanta Braves NCAA Football: ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE~! NCAA Basketball: Alabama Crimson Tide and Kentucky Wildcats
C Dubya 04 Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 I'm your basic Philly only sport's fan. Eagles, Phils, Flyers & Sixers. 25 years of pain and suffering (with one or two fun seasons thrown in). By the way, I know a lot of New Yorkers, and everyone of them is adament about one thing. You cannot support both the Yankees & the Mets and the Jets & the Giants. When people said during the Subway Series that it didn't matter to them who won, that it was a NY team anyways, you knew they weren't really fans.
Youth N Asia Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Only teams I really care for are the Detroit Redwings, Michigan Wolverines (football), Indianapoils Colts, and Detroit Pistons. Mostly just a hometown guy
CanadianChris Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 NHL: Senators NBA: Lakers, Raptors NFL: Broncos, Vikings MLB: Blue Jays, Red Sox NCAA: Syracuse
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 NBA - Sacramento Kings fan since '88, but really, I'll watch any NBA game if one's on. NBA > all other sports NFL - Don't watch MLB - Don't watch NHL - Don't watch NCAA - Georgia Tech
Guest Just Looking Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 MLB: Red Sox, Mets NFL: Jets NBA: Knicks, Nuggets (Carmelo) NHL: Islanders NCAA: Syracuse (gotta support the hometown)

True on the Yankees/Mets (but moreso on Yanks/Sox), not so much on the Jets/Giants. Definitely true that you can't be an Islanders and a Rangers fan.

I've always been a Yankees fan for the past 12 years, but Mets were always the secondary team to cheer. Jets/Giants doesn't really make a difference as I don't watch or follow NFL as much as NBA & MLB.

Vern Gagne Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Really. I only like a team when they're good. Though, I've been an Astros fan for 11 seasons. Mostly good, some bad though.
