Hm... You know, since I was working at McD's I guess I should've mentioned this, but I deemed this unworthable for attention. Apparently it isn't.

Oh yes, btw, you know all those "healthy" foods that got added to the menus? Well, they cost twice as freaking much. Because McD's has to make sure it is "fresh" hence it costs too much.

If I wanted to pay twice as much, I'd go to Tim Horton's or Subway's.

We sure do have a lot of fat asses crying about losing their supersize meals on this board...

I hope a car hits you, and does more damage because you're skinny.

What are you people bitching about?

They aren't removing fries from the menu and they aren't changing how they make the fries. The only thing they are doing is removing super-sized fries. Large fries are more than enough.

It's not like the lack of super-sized fries will have an negative effect on your McDonalds meal. The only change to your McDonald's experience will be slightly less french fries. It's hardly cause to react like they are taking fries off the menu.

This is pretty stupid. They are doing this for health reasons? Uh, if someone is unhealthy, they probably shouldn't be eating at McDonalds at all. And can't people in our day in age moniter their own meals? I mean, has our seociety become so sad that people demand the resturants to make the food healthier instead of just monitering what they eat or not eating there at all? Is there no self responsibility anymore?

McDonalds was the first to introduce Super Size's. Suddenly everywhere started getting these upgrades. Bueno Sized. Mayo Sized. King Sized. Just plain Large Sized.

Now McDonalds is backing off......I wonder if everywhere else will back off to?

Oh and......do I at least still get a 42 oz. drink!? For 50 cents in the Summer!?

It just occured to me; If they really wanted to healthy things up over at McDonalds, they should stop putting a gallon of mayo on their fucking chicken sandwiches. And they should stop giving people bags upon bags upon bags of mayo. If someone asks for 10 bags of mayo, after ordering a small fries, the workers should be allowed to tell them to fuck off.

And yes, Wendy's is far better.

McDonalds in Canada aren't getting rid of them because they're not quite as big as the ones in the States. Sounds good to me.

Uh... Dood, we are.

They are phasing out the term "supersize" and probably making the boxes smaller. Trust me, I was working for them not long ago. They told all the employees this.

And yes, Wendy's is better.

Then again, so is Subway.

Drinking Out of the Toilet >>>>> McDonalds.

Or so my Cat thinks. I caught it drinking from the toilet the other day, then tried giving her a bit of McDonalds burger and she stuck her nose in the air and walked away.

I don't know where you all are coming from with the Wendy's love.

A - Their french fries are by far the worst of any fast food chain that I've been to. Id say 80% of the time they are either cold or not fully cooked. The last time I went to Wendys which was last year, they were cold and they weren't even salted. It came with a measly salt packet inside (which was greasy with fat off the fries and thus unusable anyway), almost at the bottom of the fries, which I only discovered after eating a few and dumping them out. Anyone who knows anything about french fries knows they HAVE to be salted when they are HOT or else its just not good.

B - Their prices are pretty much rediculous. Its just a freaking hamburger. They used to be the most expensive place for burgers here, but now Hardees has them beat in the Expensive category with their "Angus Beef 1/3 1/2 2/3 lb thick burgers". And quite honestly, they are better than Wendy's, but I could buy 1lb of hamburger and a package of 4 rolls and make 4 hamburgers for the price of 1 burger from Wendy's/Hardees. I guess thats just me.

C - A bit before they launched their "Salads in a bowl" for $4, they took out the salad bar. You used to (at least here) be able to get an all you could eat salad off their salad bar for $2.99. Granted, the upkeep was never that great, but I would always check it first and if it looked good and fresh, Id order that and a soda and make probably 2 trips to the bar for more salad. Plus it was great if you wanted more lettuce/tomato or stuff on your burger, and the cheese was great for the chili.

The Only thing good about Wendys is the fact that you (and I haven't been there in a while so I don't know if this is how it still is) could get a biggie soda for .99 when most other places charge a lot more than that. Plus it was self serve so it wasn't all ice (Self Serve, I never use ice because the mix/water is cold enough as it is).

Im sure if Mcdonalds does something like this, other places will follow suit eventually. Its probably more influenced by making you pay the same ammount for less than anything to do with "peoples health" and "people wanting to eat healthier". McDonalds has cleaned its image up a bit, but I still don't think people associate the term "healthy" with Mcdonalds food.

Arby's has the best fries (either the curly or regular). I rank McDonalds and Burger King about the same and Wendy's comes in last behind the potato wedges from KFC and Hardee's french fries.

Wendy's fries are fresh at least, they throw them away if they aren't bought 5 minutes after they make them. I know cause I worked there for about an hour. I still prefer McDonalds fries to any other fries. And I have eaten at all these little regional chains people rave about. I travel a lot.
