Cuban Linx Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 1. World Title (Raw) Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels vs. HHH © -> Shawn Michaels. The WWE hasn't had a problem putting the belt on injured wrestlers before. 2. WWE Title (Smackdown) Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero © -> Eddy Guerrero. I know the WWE is very adept at cutting people off at the knees, but they won't do that to Eddy. Yet. 3. Handicap Match : Mick Foley/Rock vs. Ric Flair/Batista/Randy Orton -> Rock and Sock. Orton will get his win over Foley in a one-on-one match sometime down the line. 4. Kane vs. Undertaker -> Undertaker. Kane really needs a big win, but there's no way Taker's losing in his return to the deadman, and he isn't losing at Mania until he's retiring. 5. Fatal Four way for the WWE tag titles (Smackdown) – APA vs. WGTT (Haas/Benjamin) vs. Basham Brothers vs. Rikishi/Scotty 2 Hotty © -> Haas/Benjamin. God Willing. 6. Fatal Four was for the World Tag Titles (Raw) – Dudleys vs. Lance Cade/Mark Jindrak vs. La Resitance vs. Rob Van Dam/Booker T © -> Eh... Jindrak/Cade. Who knows, who cares. The WWE likes putting the tag belts on boring teams that are average in the ring at best, so the dropkick twins get it. 7. Hair vs. Title – Molly Holly vs. Victoria © -> Molly Holly. I doubt they'll make one of their 'divas' bald, so Molly gets the title. 8. Cruiserweight Open – Billy Kidman, Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Tajiri, Jamie Knoble, Sho Funaki, Nunzio, Shannon Moore, Akio, and Chavo Guerrero © -> Chavo Guerrero. The WWE seems high on Chavo, so he overcomes the odds to retain, have him drop it after a long on-on-one feud with someone. Not that the cruiser division has long feuds, or even feuds at all, but you get the idea. 9. Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar -> Brock Lesnar. Even if Goldberg wasn't leaving there's no way he'd win over Vince's golden boy. 10. Playboy Evening Gown Match - Sable/Torrie vs. Miss Jackie/Stacy -> Ugh, Sable/Torrie. No Lance Storm, no Mattitude, no Hurricane, but hey at least we get some F-grade jerkoff material! Someone's implant bursting will be about the only interesting thing that could possibly come out of this. 11. US Championship – John Cena vs. Big Show © -> John Cena. Finally the belt will be removed from Show's waist, not that it fits around his waist anyway. It's been obvious the belts going to Cena for months, now he gets it. 12. Christian vs. Chris Jericho -> Christian. Jericho doesn't win at Mania's. They'll probably extend this feud for a while, with Trish obviously factoring into the finish one way or another.

Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 Cruiserweight Open – Billy Kidman, Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Tajiri, Jamie Knoble, Sho Funaki, Nunzio, Shannon Moore, Akio, and Chavo Guerrero © -Im still not sure if they are going Gauntlet Style or Elimination Style. I'd perfer a elimination style match with Team Yakuda controling the tempo by dominating over Funaki, Moore and Dragon. They take out Moore with a variety of double teams. Chavo spends this team KILLING Mysterio's knee(I'd have Chavo attack Rey Rey next SD and try to take him out early by hurting the knee). Kidman and Knoble do their thing. Funaki gets taken out. It's at this point, the announcers clearly point out what the fans know. Team Yakuda will work together to eliminate everyone else. Dragon Makes a effort but a Snap Spinning Kick from Tajiri puts a abrubt end to that. Mysterio and Kidman go "FUCK THIS" and go all out on the Yakada...Knoble and Chavo watch heelishly in the background...They lay out Akio and Tajiri and Kidman and Mysterio hit the stereo top rope finishers...Tajiri gets the Leg Drop treatment from Mr. 619 and Kidman actually HITS a SSP on Akio....Mysterio fucks his knee up though on the leg drop and Chavo with a quick strike takes advantage...Kidman gets the followup pin on AKIO. Knoble pins Kidman shortly afterwards. Leaving Mysterio alone with Tajiri, Knoble and Chavo Guerrero. He fights off Knoble with a Sunset flip thanks to an erratic kick from Tajiri. Tajiri tries to MURDER Mysterio...Mysterio counters a Powerbomb into the DDT for the pin, leaving him with Chavo. Chavo breaks down the leg for a couple minutes, Goes for the Hurricane DDT but Mysterio counters that into a suplex off the top rope...2 count...Mysterio hops on his "good" leg and hits a drop kick...staggering Chavo to the side ropes...Mysterio hits a desperation kick and Chavo sets up for the 619. MSG goes insano....goes for the 619 but Chavo Sr pops up and SMACKS Mysterio with the steel chair to his face...MSG is pissed. Chavo hits a quick implant DDT but doesn't go for the pin...He goes for the top rope and Shoots for the Froggy Splash and Mysterio tries to move but Chavo nails the back and Chavo heelishly covers him for the win. Winner: Chavo Guerrero at 15:32 Rating:***3/4 Fatal Four was for the World Tag Titles (Raw) – Dudleys vs. Lance Cade/Mark Jindrak vs. La Resitance vs. Rob Van Dam/Booker T © -In a Perfect world, Candian Swingers Take out The Green Team but that's not to happen. I'll Say Cade and Jindrak go out early thus having served ZERO purpose here, lets say Cade goes down to the 3-D which shall get a huge reaction in MSG. Le Reistance goes for the heel act in MSG, RVD puts the Kibosh on that as he and Booker hit the Axe Kick/Rolling Thunder combo...Dvon tries to take a quick advantage over RVD but Booker T saves...A couple minutes of spots with the crowd eating it up ending with Booker getting 3D'ed and Bubba covers but RVD hits the ***** for save and Booker with the momentum of the splash rolls over onto Bubba for the win. Winner: RVD and Booker T at 7:57 **. Christian Vs Chris Jericho -Jericho doesn't need this match, He will still be over as he ever was no matter what the IWC wishes to believe. Why? Simple. After 20 minutes of a straight up solid match, X goes into heel supamode and cheats like crazy with the knocked out ref, grabs a chair and pillmanizes Jericho to HUGE Heel heat...Jericho tries to fight him off but he can't, the leg is just THAT fucked up. Jericho somehow gets the Liontamer but he can't support his legs and X takes avantage with a Bridge pin for the victory Winner: Christian at 24:02 Rating ***1/2 -Post Match activity. Jericho is tended to by the emts and refs as he refuses to be helped. Trish Stratus's music hits to a big pop...She enters the ring and Jericho, limping murmers "I'm Sorry...Sorry"...but Trish goes right to him and Lifts his Head and smiles and plants the KISS HEARD AROUND THE WORLD as MSG pops/Awwwws. Jericho limply holds the rope for the girl he loves and they leave arm in arm. (This gives X the rub of beating a Former WWE Champion at WM in MSG but Jericho saves his heat because in the end, he got the girl but leaves this thing open for the Backlash blowoff because it's all about revenge for the injury now. However, the IWC cries foul as usual and claim they Burying Jericho) Fatal Four way for the WWE tag titles (Smackdown) – APA vs. WGTT (Haas/Benjamin) vs. Basham Brothers vs. Rikishi/Scotty 2 Hotty © -While Raw didn't have much choice but to have a 4 way, The Smackdown Tag Titles really didn't need to do this, as WGTT VS 2Cool was a MORE then decent enough match for Mania and the build-up for that didn't need anything more then the standard (We are Heels and we want our titles back damn it vs Well, we won't give them back to you so THERE! Oh it's on now bitches! just bring it! sell). The Match starts with APA hitting the Stereo Finishers on the Bashams and the double pin in early fashion. WGTT Take quick advantage of Farrooq by going double team galore here... Bradshaw lays down for the WGTT's Superkick finisher. Leaving us with the match we SHOULD have just had from the start. S2H goes in and gets into Morton Mode. 10 minutes of your standard cookie cutter memphis style match, S2H gets the hot tag to 'Kish...Power Move segment here but a Sneak attack ends it. Rikishi tags back in S2H who is still hurting, tries to fight off the smart tag teaming of the WGTT but falls short as he taps to the Haas of Pain. WGTT win back their tag team title. Winner: WGTT at 14:02 Rating:*** Woman's Title Match Molly Holly Vs Victoria -After 7 minutes of the standard Woman's stuff with a little more polish, it comes down to basically, Steven Richards fucking over his girlfriend and giving Molly Holly the win and the title and more importantly, her hair intact. Winner: Molly at 7:46 Rating: **1/2 (why does he turn? It's something WWE likes to do and it's a easy set-up to give molly more heat and gives Victoria further motive for revenge) United States Title Match John Cena Vs The Big Show -The set up appears to be that Cena's Leg is fucked...So TBS targets that for a few minutes but Cena goes superhuman and finishes off TBS with the FU to a big pop. Winner: John Cena at 8:31 Rating:** ***Half-Time Performence from Cena and Guests and HOF wrap up*** The Rock and Sock Connection Vs Evolution -The crowd is feverishly hot thanks to Rock and Flair working the crowd like crazy until it hits a high when Flair and Rock go at it midway. The Match finishes off with Foley Hitting the Cactus Clothesline on Orton and Batisita jobbing to the Rock Bottom. Winner: Rock n Sock at 17:59 Rating:**3/4 (I figure they will have the Street fight blowoff for Foley/Orton at Backlash) Playboy Evening Gown Match Stacy and Jackie Vs Sable and Torrie -I Take a shit. Horny little boys check the vcr to make sure it's taping so they can "watch" this later. Standard woman's tag shit...Sable and Torrie do something heelish and it's over. Winner: Smackdown Divas at 4:05 Rating: DUD Undertaker Vs Kane -A LOOOONG delayed enterance from The Deadman whom returns with an UNGODLY pop. Taker arrives and they do the same old HOSSES COLLIDE stuff with perhaps Undertauro breaking out with a move or two. UT finishes with Three Tombstones ala WM14. Winner: Taker at 11:02 Rating:** Triple Threat Match World Title Match Triple H Vs Benoit Vs HBK -After 26 minutes of straight up good wrestling, HBK and HHH whom both wear the crimson mask to compensate jobbing. HHH hits the Pedigree on Shawn goes for the Pedigree on Benoit but he counters into a sharpshooter attempt but HBK superkicks Benoit to save...Benoit ducks the SCM attempt again and snaps him into a Cross-face. HHH runs to stop it but Benoit trips him down locks HBK in tighter and HBK fights and HHH finally ends it. Benoit and HHH fight some more...HBK shoots at HHH but he ducks and Shawn does the overblown over the top rope crash for effect. HHH and Benoit slug it out and Benoit gets the struggling cross-face down and for effect locks the feet of HHH together and HHH taps out....IWC and MSG explode into endless tears. Winner: Chris Benoit at 27:54 Rating: **** Goldberg Vs Brock Lesnar Special Guest Referee Steve Austin - A straight Up power match for about 10 minutes, It ends CLEAN with Lesnar kicking out of the spear and Jackhammer three times. The F5 gets the job done the FIRST time and Lesnar (vince's creation) kicks Goldberg(turner's creation) away for good, Austin attacks Via Stunner to a big pop. Setting up the Brock/Austin SummerSlam showdown. Winner: Brock Lesnar at 13:03 Rating: **1/2 WWE Title Match Eddy Guerrero Vs Kurt Angle -This match is just straight up CLASSIC old style wrestling, thrown in with elements of the Luncha Style that Eddy was raised with, a little shoot for Angle's background and some WWE style brawling for "effect". 30 minutes of this make for a goodie. Angle's objection is to get the damn Ankle Lock connected but the swarmy Eddy keeps getting away...Eddy can't get Angle down long enough. Each have thrown everything at each other...Angle goes for the 3rd Angle Slam of the night but Eddy counters by landing on his feet and leaping up for a Hurricana but Angle drops Eddy down for the modified Power Bomb. Angle eyes the Ankle and BOOM~! He locks it in. Eddy struggles and fights to the ropes for a good two minutes, and finally grabs it. Eddy limps slightly and Angle guns for the ankle AGAIN. Eddy kicks out of a couple pin attempts and Angle pushes Eddy to the ropes but eddy bends down and sends Angle through the ropes...Eddy follows up with a Suicide dive. They crawl back to the ring...Angle goes for another Angle Slam but Eddy counters by getting a backlock and hits ONE german suplex. He hits the top rope and NAILS the Frog Splash. 1. 2. 3. Winner: Eddy Guerrero at 37:49 Rating: *****
clean rob Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 Jindrak and Cade's finisher puts them a step above the Basham's, and thus, Doug and Danny are the WMBTT. The Bashams have a better finisher, IMO. The Russian legsweep? The 'Ball & Gag', is a Russian legsweep/clothesline combination, which at least look like it hurts. Jindrak/Cades finisher looks like it has less impact than a regular dropkick. Both are poor finishers, but the Bashams is better. The Bashams also have some nice signature moves, like their double slingshot suplex for instance. The Bashams have a gimmick, and hence and identity as a team. The Bashams have, on occassion, got moderate heat. So, your new Worlds Most Boring Tag Team Champions are...Jindrak & Cade!
deancoles Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 But Jindrak and Cade stole the money from Randy Orton in October which is far better than anything the Bashams ever did.
clean rob Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 I have to admit, I actually missed the Raw where that happened, so if that's your sole reason why the Bashams are in fact more boring, then fair enough. But it must have been a pretty good segment if it makes up for everything else about them.

SamoaRowe Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 1. World Title (Raw) Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels vs. HHH © I'm afraid I'm starting to think it will be Triple H more and more. This is a big reason why I'm not going out of my way to see this show live. I hope I'm wrong. 2. Cruiserweight Open – Billy Kidman, Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Tajiri, Jamie Knoble, Sho Funaki, Nunzio, Shannon Moore, Akio, and Chavo Guerrero © Without Paul London, this match is meaningless to me. Fuck it all. And Chavo will win. 9. Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar This one just became harder to call since it looks unlikely that Lesnar will be around for a while after Wrestlemania. With that little turn of events, I guess I'm going with Goldberg now. 10. Playboy Evening Gown Match - Sable/Torrie vs. Miss Jackie/Stacy I would mark out like a bitch if Matt Hardy and Lance Storm interupted this match. Anyways, I'd normally say that Sable and Torrie will win, but it seems as if WWE thinks the crowd would rather see them get stripped, so I'm going with Stacey and Jackie for this one. 11. US Championship – John Cena vs. Big Show © This is going to be Cena's big night. I can feel it. 12. Christian vs. Chris Jericho If Jericho doesn't win, I might not watch Raw for a little while (unless Benoit wins). So I'm saying Jericho gets a victory.

Lil' Bitch Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 An ungodly "Bullshit!" chant if they try a copout finish to Goldberg / Lesnar
Styles Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Yeah, I posted this in the OAO WM discussion thread because I didn't see this one, so I'll just repost it in here. Ok, so I'll try to predict what order I think WWE will have the card (not neccesarrily what I would do) and try to guess how long they get, how good the match is and of course the winner: Match 1: John Cena vs. Big Show I just have a feeling they'll put this one on first. Cena and his rap will get the crowd pumped up, and the likely title change will get things off to a good start. It will probably be quick because these 2 don't work that well together and are both injured, so I'll say 6 to 8 minutes. Cena wins clean with FU. Star Prediction: *1/2 Winner: John Cena Match 2: Dudleys vs. RVD/Booker vs. Jindrak/Cade vs. La Resistance Not expecting much from this one, everyone will likely hit their signature spots and it will be somewhat of a mess. Again, 6 to 8 minutes for this one. Jindrak and Cade outsmart and pin the Dudleys for a win. Star Prediction: 1/2* Winners: Jindrak and Cade Match 3: Molly Holly vs. Victoria Should be a suprisingly good match, especially for a women's match. Again, probably will get the 6 to 8 minute treatment. I can't see them following through with the stipulation since they just threw it out there, and really, Molly wouldn't shave her head. Victoria got lots of wins over Molly and now can chase. Star Prediction: **1/2 Winner: Molly Holly Match 4: Cruiserweight Open I think this is elimination (but Im not sure). Call me crazy but I have a feeling they'll give this one decent time, I would say 15 minutes. They'll probably eliminate most of the guys in the first few minutes, but I think the final 4 will get the bulk of the time to have a good match. I'll say its Rey, Chavo, Tajiri and Ultimo who get the final four. In the end Chavo keeps the title, likely with help from Chavo Sr. I can't see them switching the title in a cluster match like this. Plus he makes a good heel champ. Star Prediction: ***1/4 Winner: Chavo Match 5: Chris Jericho vs. Christian They'll have a decent match, but something about Christian is just always so dissapointing. I don't think they'll give this one the time it really needs either, maybe 10 or 12 minutes. There's really 2 ways they could go here and both will involve Trish. She could either hit Christian and help Jericho win, or they could swerve us and turn her heel by hitting Jericho and aligning with Christian. I just don't see them doing that though, since it would basically mess up the storyline. Trish helps Jericho win and this thing ends. I don't really know where they go from here though. Star Prediction: *** Winner: Chris Jericho Match 6: Scotty/Rikishi vs. WGTT vs. APA vs. Bashams I expect this one to be a little better than the RAW counterpart and given a little more time to develop too, maybe 10 or 12 minutes. I see Haas and Benjamin winning, probably over Scotty/Rikishi, since they'll want to protect APA and Scotty/Rikishi have already gotten more of a push than they deserve. Star Prediction: ** Winners: WGTT Match 7: Sable/Torrie vs. Jackie/Stacy If this gets more than 5 minutes I'll be shocked. I don't expect anything profound here, Smackdown girls probably get the win, since they're in Playboy and the others aren't/ Star Prediction: DUD Winners: Torrie/Sable Match 8: Undertaker vs. Kane The entrance will be way more interesting than the match. But it will get a huge pop and should be real cool. I honestly don't see the gimmick lasting more than a month before it goes its course and Taker is back to his badass MMA submission style self (Which is a VERY good thing!) Don't think it goes longer than 8 or 10, Kane likely gets a lot of offense in, Taker nosells it, gets the big finish. I think since Brock is gone, they will want to extend the feud. On Taker's big return (and at Wrestlemania where he's never lost) he won't lose, but after the match, expect Kane to do something dastardly to get the last word (I'm thinking lock in a casket and set on fire again, something like that). Star Prediction: * Winner: Undertaker Match 9: Foley/Rock vs. Evolution Match should be entertaining, Foley and Rock will turn it on for the big match. Should get a good amount of time to develop, Im thinking 20 or 25 minutes. It should stay within the contexts of a regular handicap tag match (so no barbed wire 2x4s here). Since Foley is likely to stay for Backlash and that is when Orton will get his big win, the babyfaces should go over here. Rock will probably get the pinfall on either Flair or Batista. I wouldn't be suprised if postmatch Orton RKOs the Rock to give him that rub. Star Prediction: *** Winners: Foley and Rock Match 10: Kurt Angle vs. Eddy Guerrero Figure they'd want to split up the 2 title matches so one doesn't overshadow the next. I expect at least 30 minutes for these 2, and flat out a great match. If Eddy and Brock could have such an awesome technical match, and Angle is better and more polished than Brock, there's no reason to think these 2 can't have a classic. Eddy wins through blatant lying cheating and stealing which not only puts over his gimmick but let's Angle save face and have reason for the feud to continue which it should. Star Prediction: ****1/2 Winner: Eddy Guerrero Match 11: Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg (with Austin referee) Oh boy...This should be a fun one. The only thing will probably get 15 minutes, which is enough time for a big time match without going over their limits. If both guys actually are motivated they could put on a decent big man match. WIth the Brock situation my take on the finish has changed, and it might be a bold pick but I really think its the finish that makes the most sense, and is the one WWE will do. Austin stuns Brock which leads to Goldberg getting the win. Post match Austin and Goldberg celebrate and Austin gives Goldberg that stunner he promised that wouldn't be an accident. The logic here is that if both guys are leaving, you might as well put over the babyface to make the fans happy. It really wouldn't make much sense for Austin to help the heel win and the fans wouldn't be a happy with a non finish with Austin laying them both out. Austin gives his stunner to Goldberg after the match which makes more sense. Also, Goldberg is actually much more likely to be back soon than Lesnar. Goldberg would be open to a special appearence kind of deal that Rock has, and will likely get it, while Brock is definitely gone for probably a year at least and by the time he comes back this loss won't really matter. Star Prediction: ** Winner: Goldberg Match 12: HHH vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit I think this is the match they want to have on last, because I think it will be a more theatrical "main event style" match than the other title match. It also will likely have a clean finish to end the show. Again this one should get at least 30 minutes like the other one and I have no reason to believe that this one won't be a show stealer too. We know HHH likes to turn it on and delivers for big matches and him and Shawn always have excellent matches together (the Royal Rumble was marred by not having any pinfalls), and Benoit and HHH's houseshow matches have reportedly been excellent and Shawn/Benoit from RAW was a MOTYC, so all around these guys are very compatible. I'm almost positive Benoit will win the belt here (if HHH wins this match will flip flop with the other title match because they'll want a face ending the show with a win). I think also Benoit will pin (or submit) Shawn for the win (but HHH has suprised us at times in the past and it wouldn't shock me to see him do the right thing and be the one to put over Benoit). I can't see Shawn winning, but if he does it will likely be over HHH to save face. With Benoit winning (likely over Shawn) it sets up either a singles match vs. HHH at Backlash (the "you didn't beat me" storyline) or against Shawn, because now theyre even at 1 win each over each other. Anyway I just don't see anyone but Benoit coming out of this as champion. And I'm sure it will be excellent. Star Prediction: ****1/2 Winner: Chris Benoit Well, there you go, my extended predictions. I think it's going to be an awesome show and I'm really looking forward to it! Oh, and I realise I have all babyfaces going over in the big matches but its freakin Wrestlemania XX! So that's how it should be...
spiny norman Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 1. Dudleys vs. La Resistance vs. Jindrak & Cade vs. Raw Tag Champs Booker T & RVD: It says Fatal Fourway, so I'm guessing this will be an elimination thing. I predict La Resistance and Dudleys are eliminated early on, and in the end I'm guessing Booker & RVD retain. 2. Mick Foley & The Rock vs. Batista, Flair & Randy Orton: Yeah, I think this will be early in the card. Anyway, in the end I think Foley will pin Flair, and that way Orton can say "Hey, you never pinned me!" and they can have their rematch at Backlash. 3. WWE Cruiserweight Title Open: I'm not sure for order of elimination, but it will come down to Mysterio vs. Chavo in the end, and I think Chavo will win that. 4. John Cena vs. WWE US Champ Big Show: Cena's winning this, methinks. 5. Molly vs. WWE Women's Champ Victoria: They're not making Molly bald. She's winning. 6. APA vs. SPWGTT vs. Basham Bros vs. WWE Smackdown Tag Champs Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty: Presuming this is elimination too, I see it coming down to SPWGTT and R & S2h, with SPWGTT and acronysms everywhere winning. 7. Christian vs. Jericho: Christian wins so Jericho can win the rematch at Backlash and possibly be pushed up for a title shot at Bad Blood (him or Kane, I'm thinking, because the combinations of Benoit-HBK-HHH will be running short, plus he and Benoit have a good history). 8. Kane vs. Undertaker: Kane needs to win this. But Taker will. 9. Stacy & Jackie vs. Sable & Torrie: In a 30 minute war, we'll see someone's tits, and then while they're trying to stick them back in they'll be rolled up and pinned (the person, not their tits). 10. Kurt Angle vs. WWE Smackdown Champ Eddie Guerrero: I'm guessing 30 minutes for this one, seeing as how the show is to be five hours. Guerrero retains. 11. Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg: I truly have no idea what the hell is going to happen. 12. Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels vs. WWE Raw Champ Triple H: Come on, Benoit has to win this. I think it could go 40-45 minutes, too.
Adam Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Somehow I don't think the Triple Threat will be above ***1/2. I don't know, its just me.
