Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 Mick Foley has agreed to stay with WWE for another month to face Randy Orton at Backlash. (Another Month eh, Perhaps the Kid didn't get over quite enough for Mick Foley's Saint-like opinion) The only NFL teams to express interest in Brock Lesnar are the Washington Redskins and the Minnesota Vikings. (Go Skins! as a Local that might be interesting to me. Then again the Redskins wanted Andre the Giant) The Rock isn't scheduled to be part of WWE television any time in the forseeable future. (Well goodie take your paycheck and back to the Movies) The WrestleMania XX DVD will be a three-disc set. (I hope the Complete Hall of fames is on there) Edge's biography "Over The Edge" is expected to be released in November. (Aren't we Glad Edge doesn't have any emotional attrachments to Owen Hart hmm) The word going around WWE today is that Kurt Angle had his neck examined, and another surgery on his neck will not be required. As it stands right now, it looks as though Angle will be able to return to the ring in about two or three weeks. To say WWE dodged a bullet here would be an understatement (Well Good though I probably still feel better if he like does something that he doesn't have to go back to the Doc every three months) (Thanks to The Wrestling Observer)

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 22, 2004 Oh, for the love of fucking God, a horrible, horrible thing happened at OtE 99, but CHRIST that doesn't mean that those three words can never be mentioned in any context when talking about wrestling ever again. Wasn't Unertaker trying to push Flair over the edge before their Wrestlemania match? Or the PPV itself, with that great Austin/Dude angle. Does smark cannon now state that that match happened at Judgment Day, or A Cold Day in Hell, or simply just "The May PPV" Because LORD knows that if you mention there was a PPV for two years called "Over the Edge" and mentioned absolutely anything other than what happened to owen, you are CLEARLY pissing all over Owen Hart's grave. Jesus people, the man's wrestling character is named "Edge" "Over the Edge" is a failry common phrase. Get over yourselves.
geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 I have no problem with the phrase over the edge being used. I have no problem with them releasing ppvs that happened prior to Owen's death. I have no problem with a non-wrestling company calling something over the edge. I would have a problem with wwe calling a ppv "Over the Edge", or a book "Over the Edge". There are countless other names they could come up with for that shitty book about the bland edge.
Star Ocean 3 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 I didn't even realize it's the same as the PPV name until people started whining about it.

1234-5678 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 Mick Foley has agreed to stay with WWE for another month to face Randy Orton at Backlash. Reason #1 to order so far. Even if the Mick does the J.O.B. yet again. If they planned on giving Orton a win at Backlash, why bring in the Rock for Mania? Should've just been Foley-Orton at XX in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Foley will go all out and we'll have fun but half of us won't admit it.
Highland 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 AS is right (for once), "Over the edge" is a rather common phrase, it has nothing whatsoever to do with Owen Hart. To me, complaining about the title is comparable to those idiots that wanted to copyright "Let's roll", yet another relatively common phrase.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 Well, it's a better title than the "The Edgecution of Adam Copeland", which was the orginal working title.

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2004 my understanding of the Redskins/Vikings interest in Brock Lesnar is that both teams gave him a workout over 2 years ago, and neither team showed interest afterwards.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted March 23, 2004 Sure, Foley/Orton would been better at WrestleMania, but they had to work The Rock, Ric Flair and Batista onto that card, so now they go one-on-one. The match shouldn't be too bad - they will be carrying eachother.
