I didn't see all the intro with vince bisch and hey so I dunno what the entire rules was.

But I thought it was a crappy setup. Should have been just a big tumbler with both sets of shows rosters in it and they pick randomly who is who...

but I guess theres another 30 minutes too the deadline?

Do you read the results on WWE?

Kind of disappointed by some of the picks...the crowd definitely was. I hope they have a plan of where they're going with all of this.

I wonder why there's a trade deadline, too...haven't the brands been able to trade all along?

As I said in the Raw thread, it was a complete waste of time, as only four of the twelve picks meant something, and two of them were just reeked of McMahon-a-mania. RVD and Edge moving was of little shock to most here, and Triple H going to Smackdown and Heyman leaving pretty much give us another six months of Nipple/Triple, all while stomping on Eddie, RVD, and others.

This is what they call a DAMN draft....

I saw nothing "shattering" about any of the picks......I was thinking their was going to be a complete overhaul on the rosters...

On WWE.com there is a statement from Vince saying that the trade deadline has been extended till 9pm tommorrow, when a new Smackdown GM will announce the trades that have taken place.

I'm missing out on Angle/HBK so they can continue this never ending Shawn/Hunter feud?

And what the hell was with Triple Hulk before the title match?

Wow. They aren't even waiting until Thursday for the show to air.

I guess they're finally catching up with the net.

My Analysis:

RAW:

Shelton Benjamin's singles push will fail and he'll end up tagging with Rodney Mack when he comes back. Charlie Haas will probably have better luck, although I can't shake the idea that they'll team him with Bradshaw at some point..ugh.

Nidia was the best Women's option on Smackdown to come to RAW, but shes probably only a tiny bit better than Lita. Lawler probably is the biggest beneficiary since he gets new tits to oogle at on Monday Night.

Rhyno fits well on Smackdown and could be a low upper card heel, but with RAW losing HHH, theres a gaping hole for Top Heel thats gonna be open after HBK runs with it. And we all know who the next heel in line for the Top Heel run is..

Tajiri doesn't fit on RAW but its not that bad. Akio and Sakoda can become a Tag team that no one cares about on Smackdown.

Edge was the best pickup on RAW, but I think there are too many faces on RAW. Im taking bets on how long until we get Edge vs Christian, since thats too obvious for even the WWE to pass up.

Paul Heyman? If the whole purpose of drafting Heyman was for him to quit and do the ECW thing, than there would have to have been a better way to do it than for him to be drafted, essentially wasting a pick for RAW.

Smackdown

Rene Dupree is supposedly the better of the La Res. Trio, but I can't see him getting a singles push thats sucessful.

Mark Jindrak, well no one cared about him on RAW with Garrison Cade, I doubt a singles Push will work any better. Probably will get teamed up with Matt Morgan or Albert.

HHH going to Smackdown was probably the whole reason behind the draft thing to start with. You knew he was going to Smackdown since theres a real lack of top Heels on Smackdown, although now it looks like RAW has the same problem sort of.

RVD should have been moved to Smackdown a long time ago and is probably the #2 beneficiary of the draft behind HHH although its funny that he can't shake HHH. I was sort of thinking it would be cool if he was a heel on Smackdown alligned with Heyman but thats not happening with Heyman leaving.

Teddy Long will either be the new GM of Smackdown (long shot) or do nothing more than possibly manage ..uh..Orlando Jordan? Total waste of a pick when they could have put someone like The Hurricane on Smackdown.

Spike Dudley going to Smackdown was rumored a long time ago, I thought they forgot about it. Will work well in the Cruiser Division, and imagine the Big Show/Spike Dudley encounters....

Overall a huge disapointment since the rosters weren't really shook up that much and those that did switch were either highly expected (HHH, RVD, Edge, Spike Dudley) or pointless (everyone else).[/color]

Is O'Haire still around, or did they release him a while back?

He's still employed.

Why?

I was stoked that HHH went to Smackdown, until they announce RAW got Edge. I wish RAW would get compensation for Heyman quitting

You want Edge fed to HHH? Even I don't wish that on him.

The WWE has certainly changed forever. This new era will be nothing like the old one. What a historic event. I have never seen anything like it.

I too was stunned when they moved Spike Dudley to Smackdown.

The repercussions will be felt for years to come.

Why?

They kept him around so they could reform the great Jindrak/O'haire tag team from their great days in WCW.

And what the hell was with Triple Hulk before the title match?

Simple...he's already got the roids, the extremely tanned skin, the limited moveset.

He was just adding the shirt tear for his Hulk Hogan imitations

So he secretly wants to be a freakish hybrid of Ric Flair and Hogan?

They sure updated the profiles of the wrestlers on wwe.com quickly. All bios mention the draft, and Rene Dupree's talks about how he is now free to be a breakout star since his tag team is broken up.

Did anyone else just find it really funny that the lockerroom was rather happy to see HHH go?

Just a hunch those waves and cheers weren't just for on camera HHH.

HHH: Everyone-uh in that lockeroom who cheered and sang about me leaving RAW needs to be traded to Smackdown..

Vince: Can do.

On Smackdown..

Vince: As the new GM of Smackdown, Im pleased to announce that I worked out a trade to send everyone on RAW but Batista, Orton and Flair here to Smackdown for everyone on Smackdown except HHH and RVD.

There are only SEVEN singles faces on Raw and Smackdown both (though SD would have 12 counting the cruisers)

Everyone else is heel...about 24 guys (or 27 counting the cruisers)

so that's 14:24 or 19:27 ...that seems a bit lopsided to me.

As far as tag teams... 3 face/3 heel on Raw, 1 face/3 heel on SD

Maybe because they already did them on the weekend?

The new finisher will be 3 punches, throw to the ropes, jumping high knee then knee drop roll.

Here is what I think will happen as one of the trades. Kane threatened the GM's that he better not end up on the same brand as Taker. I think that Shane will be the new GM of SMackdown and won't care about the threat, and will do it as revenge on Kane. That gives Taker a feud, plays up Shane's past with Kane, and Bischoff will actually be glad to get rid of Kane and maybe get a few younger guys as compensation.
