Ravenbomb Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 The latest rumored title for Star Wars Episode III making the rounds on the 'net is "The Creeping Fear." It is worth noting that the titles for Episode I and Episode II were not released until September of the year before the film came out. Other rumored titles include: "An Empire Divided" and "Revenge of the Sith." Credit: Cinecon.com The Creeping Fear? Think they'll replace Obi Wan with some scientist guy and have them use the force to fight a big paper maché monster?
Kahran Ramsus Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Ok. I think it is about time Lucas calls in his buddy Spielberg to help him out.
Tawren Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 The Phantom Menace: ok, sounds kinda neat Attack of the Clones: getting lamer, B-movie level The Creeping Fear: come on now.
The Amazing Rando Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I will await Star Wars Theatre, Episode 3000: I Accuse My Jedi I mean really...have you read my essay?
Mecha Mummy Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 And after this, they'll make Star Wars Episode VII: "The Force" - The Hands of Fate. Come on, can these names get any lamer?
Guest Askewniverse Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 "The Creeping Fear" sounds like a cheesy horror movie that they would show on USA Network. What happened to the other rumored titles like "Fall of the Republic" or "Fall of the Jedi?"
The Amazing Rando Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 No wait... What will the subtitle be for the upcoming Star Wars film??? you guessed it... FRANK STALLONE~
Ravenbomb Posted March 25, 2004 Author Report Posted March 25, 2004 Star Wars 3: Incredibly Strange Jedi That Became Mixed Up Sith...or something (Hey, everybody else got to do MST3K names!)
Guest El Satanico Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Attack of The Clone was fine. It had the hint of 50's sci-fi b movies, without being too obvious. The Creeping Fear doesn't just cross the line, it erases the line from existance. It should be... The Lost Jedi of Cadavra
Guest Fook Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Star Wars Episode 3: The Creeping Fear to be followed by Star Wars Episode 3.5: Because We Left Too Many Plot Holes Between Episodes 3 and 4
Mole Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Ok. I think it is about time Lucas calls in his buddy Spielberg to help him out. I second that.
Downhome Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Well I think it's time that they delete the first two from the world, cancel this one, and either just leave the Star Wars world alone or do it all over again THE RIGHT FUCKING WAY.
Art Sandusky Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I'd call it "From Republic to Empire."
Nighthawk Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Phantom Menace is a stupider name than Creeping Fear. It just seems like it isn't cause you're used to it. These are supposed to be like updated B movie serials anyway, so I find these names very appropriate.
Guest Nanks Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Star Wars Episode 3: Hey! Check out all the new merchandise.
MDH257 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Star Wars-Episode 3: Santa Claus Conqures the Jedi
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Episode III - Jawa Fever I have no clue where they are getting these names.... I wonder if Russo has wandered his way onto Skywalker Ranch.
Guest wrestlingbs Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Lucas seems too have lost all of the creativity he had in the 70's. 'The Empire Strikes Back?" "Return of the Jedi?" All cool names. "The Phantom Menace?" "The Creeping Terror?" Sounds like episodes from Scooby Doo. I think to appease his fans and win them back Jar Jar should be killed brutally in the first five minutes of the film.
spiny norman Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I've heard rumour that Lucas is not planning on killing off Jar Jar. If this is the case, I guess it is true that he actually has lost his mind and touch with what the fanbase wants. Star Wars Episode Three: Force Boogaloo.
Blue Bacchus Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Yeah because Empire and Jedi were hailed at the time for being great titles /sarcasm All the names are cheesy. This one, if in fact true, is no exception to that rule. Face it, you're all gonna see it anyway
Dangerous A Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Speculation folks. Nothing to see here. I ain't bitching until an official title is released. You folks should do the same.
NoCalMike Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I actually liked the name "The Phantom Menace"
Art Sandusky Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I would have preferred "Balance of the Force," as was originally postulated for Episode I way back in 1997.
Mole Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Even though the episodes 1 and 2 sucked, I have a feeling that episode 3 will be good. Then again I said the same thing about episode 2, so got me.
Vern Gagne Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Episode 3:Darth Vader doesn't show up until the end of the movie!
Lil' Bitch Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Rise of The Empire sounds a lot better than the Creeping Fear.
nl5xsk1 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 The Return of the Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back aren't much better, but we've all gotten used to them. I don't see how either is noticably better than Attack of the Clones, yet everyone here is acting like that is bordering on horrendous. While I agree that The Creeping Fear isn't a great title, I don't think that it's as horrendous as a lot of people here seem to think. Especially if the feeling or emotion of the movie fit the title.
2GOLD Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Star Wars Episode III: The Search for more money Followed by the special editions with MORE EWOKS and a dancing number by Jar Jar and that kid everyone loved from Episode 1. It'll be like Shirley Temple dancing with that butler guy. Episode II's special edition will have the "Skywalker rap" And Episode III will just be Samuel L Jackson and Burt Reynolds talking about burgers over the soundtrack.
Guest thebigjig Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 the name doesnt bother me... why? Because it sucks, and so will the movie I've lost all respect for George Lucas... Roddenberry >>> Lucas
