Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted April 1, 2004 I want the Benoit, Eddie, Horsemen, ECW, HOF and especially Bret DVDs. Wrestlemania can probably wait, and I'm skipping the RVD one, but this is just awesome. The WWE Home Video dept is by far the smartest wing of that company. Hillbilly Jim should run creative too... [Joke]Though, when are they releasing "Best of the Big Show"?[/joke] Hillbilly Jim should run creative too... ...no he shouldn't. Wasn't he responsible for the "History of Hillbilly Jim" video package...where he wrestled his dog on a mattress?

geniusMoment 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 How would putting together a Bret dvd by November be rushing it? This is great news but November is so far away and that is when most of the dvds are being released. The last WWE dvd I bought was The Monday Night Wars a couple of months ago. They should be releasing at least 2 quality dvds, I am talking about dvds with classic footage, every month.
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted April 2, 2004 I'll be picking up the Eddie, Benoit, Bret, and ECW ones when they are released, the others I will buy possibly down the road...
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 The WWE is sure churning out some good DVD's lately, provided they don't do anything dumb with them it looks like my DVD collection will be getting larger soon. And only problem will be them releasing too many for me to keep up with, i'm still yet to get the Monday Night Wars and Steel Cage DVD's.

Guest Brian Report post Posted April 2, 2004 I figure I'll end up getting the Guerrero, Benoit, and Hart as soon as they come out. I'll get the HOF when it takes a price drop. I'll pass on the ECW, and unless they have something special, I see nothing worthwhile in the RVD.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Question...what would go on a Bret Hart DVD? There's a ton to choose from, just in terms of matches: - Harts vs. British Bulldogs, 1986 (title win) - Harts & Danny Davis vs. Tito Santana & British Bulldogs, WrestleMania III - Harts vs. Brainbusters, Summerslam 89 - Harts vs. Demolition, Summerslam 90 - Harts vs. Nasty Boys, WrestleMania VII - vs. Mr. Perfect, Summerslam 91 - vs. Roddy Piper, WrestleMania VIII - vs. British Bulldog, Summerslam 92 - vs. Shawn Michaels, Survivor Series 92 - vs. Mr. Perfect, King of the Ring 93 - vs. Jerry Lawler, Summerslam 93 - Bret & Owen vs. Quebecers, Royal Rumble 94 - vs. Owen Hart, WrestleMania X - vs. Yokozuna, WrestleMania X - vs. Owen Hart, Summerslam 94 - vs. Bob Backlund, Survivor Series 94 - vs. Diesel, Survivor Series 95 - vs. Shawn Michaels, WrestleMania XII - vs. Steve Austin, Survivor Series 96 - vs. Vader, Undertaker & Steve Austin, Final Four - vs. Steve Austin, WrestleMania XIII - 10-man tag, Canadian Stampede - vs. Undertaker, Summerslam 97 - vs. Shawn Michaels, Survivor Series 97 - vs. Chris Benoit, Nitro (Owen tribute) - vs. Chris Benoit, Mayhem 99 PLUS all the TV footage around the Rumble win and Owen angle in 1994, the Austin angle in 1996, the Hart Foundation angle in 1997, and other stuff...this could be one hell of a DVD. Guest Brian Report post Posted April 2, 2004 It's going to be three discs, I would think. I would like a whole disc on the Hart/Austin angle, which would be awesome. They could throw in something with Dynamite as his early stuff, then move to his tag title match. First disc should be pre-1994, with alot of tag work to flesh out some of the other stuff. The second disc should be dominated by the Owen feud, the third by the Austin feud, and add a bonus at the end with the whole Bret/Benoit match. Commentary alone should make this worthwhile. Guest Brian Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Why should Shawn get a spot on Bret's fucking DVD? These guys hate each other, and Shawn done very little to amend that (well, neither has Bret really, but this is his fucking spotlight). MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 You know one whole disc on the Bret set will be about the Montreal Screwjob. It would be nice to get one or two of Bret's WCW matches, but I highly doubt that will happen. I honestly figured an HBK set would get put out before a Bret Hart set. Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Bret's an easy DVD to Make... What will RVD's consist of? I can think of about 10 matches at best...and Maybe ONE or promo/skit....The Austin Introgation skit and the RVD accepts offer for title match against Austin at No Mercy 01...maybe the watch/RVD party skit. I figure they will give us the Jerry Lynn "classic" series, the match with Sabu, his match with Bammer...and that's it for ECW. WWE has...His match with Jeff Hardy at Slam, No Mercy against Austin and Angle, Undertaker at Vengence 01, Eddy Ladder Match, Benoit slam 02...thats all i got. Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Nah... Austin and Taker are next in line I'm assuming...for the ULTIMATE editions...once they clear up the damn WWF Bullshit... HBK is still too active to release a ULTIMATE EDITION DVD series of... Who else legit deserves a ULTIMATE COLLECTION EDITION ala Flair and Bret? Austin and Taker obviously...Savage would be burned his bridges... Sammantino? Try to tap that old school NE market.

WWE ladder matches, WWE Hardcore champion, the matches when RVD was winning all of the secondary titles right before they were disolved because you know who wanted his own title and not the IC. Must have matches vs Dreamer, vs Stevie Richards. vs Tajiri. ECW tv title matches the big hype about being the long term champion. RVD & Sabu ECW tag team champions, would it be possible to show the matches from Japan? Maybe some matches vs Dudleys and Saturn & Kronus. RVD vs Sabu is a must as is the one match where Jerry Lynn broke his face on PPV. FONZIE MUST BE IN SOME OF HIS ECW PROMOS!

humongous2002 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2004 You guys are forgetting that WWE owns the Stampede wrestling video library, all his early matches with Bad News Allen and Dynamite Kid should be included in this collection. Now if WWE is planning to make an RVD dvd that means he is getting a push soon or otherwise this dvd won't sell at all.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 2, 2004 I totally forgot about that, Vince buying Stampede archives. I wouldn't expect them to give it much time but I'd say Show a Dynamite/Hart Match and a Bad news Allen match...Dunno who else he wrestled in Stampede but I doubt vince will give stampede much coverage even though it's the best way to use his stampede footage because a STAMPEDE DVD won't sell outside of Canada. Bah, make a Stampede DVD, but have it all region, and release it in Canada. It'll be a big seller and anyone who wants can then do the little extra work it would take to get it. Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 3, 2004 Down here, WWE DVDs used to be PAL - the last WWF DVD that I have in PAL formatting is WrestleMania X-8. When checking out places like Total DVD and EzyDVD, it shows them as PAL even when they have gone to NTSC, so I don't know - but what I do know is that I'd prefer the superior PAL image. And I'd like it if WWE started releasing some real ECW DVDs, now that they own that library, instead of the shrink-wrapped $8.95 DVDs that we have.
