UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2004 Easy enough. Since all we've been doing is yelling 'bout April Fools and wrestlers leaving or getting fired...who's the one guy/girl on the roster you enjoy more than anyone else? Right now, I'm goin' with the champ, Chris Benoit. Dig the theme music, he can drag an exciting match out of everyone, he's a believable champ, unpredictable title reign, and HE'LL MAKE YOU TAP. Later!
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2004 (edited) I'll take flack... But... Shelton Benjamin just for being a straight up cocky underdog face that has nothing to lose, everything to gain. He won me over Benoit, over Guerrero, and just everyone else this past Monday. Hopefully this continues on this Monday. Where Bishoff confronts Triple H and tells him that he's out of the triple threat because he lost to Benjamin. Thus we get a more better version of The Game vs. The Benjamite. Winner gets rights to face The Champ. Where God willing (and he's been nice to us lately), have Shelton Benjamin vs. Chris Benoit at the special Raw episode where Benjamin fails just barely, then Benoit goes on to face Edge, and Benjamin will probably do some Uppercarding. Edit: Yes, I'm wishful lately. Edited April 3, 2004 by Lightning Flik

Guest DeathBecomesYou Report post Posted April 3, 2004 I'll chuck my two cents in then, and I can't split my top 2 so I guess they're equals First there's Benoit, been a fan of his since I saw Benoit/Malenko vs Sabu/Taz in ECW (so that'd be around 95) and have followed his career ever since. I just dig everything he does, I like his in ring work, his intensity, hell even though it's often considered his biggest fault, I even like his promos. Then there's Molly, again i've followed her from the beginning of her career in WCW and i'm still a fan 5 years later. At first I liked her because I thought (and still think) she was hot, but then I saw her wrestle and became a fan for life, she was just so unique compared to most of the women in the business back then, and even though she's nowhere near the level of any joshi workers, I still reckon she's great. DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2004 I'll go with Charlie Haas. He's a talented wrestler, is good on the mic when he's given the chance, has a great finisher and everytime I see him, I keep thinking that he's got all the tools to become World champ in the next 5 years. He's certainly going to be the breakout star on Smackdown this year if he keeps improving at his current rate
haVoc 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Brock was. Now I don't have one favorite over all the rest. Just the regular favs, Benoit, Eddie, Jericho, etc,. There are guys who I'm really starting to like, though. Shelton has impressed the Hell out of me. Christian I've never been huge on, but something about his character with Trish I'm really enjoying. TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Eddie Guerrero. His character, his ring skills, total package basically. Runners Up(in order): Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin, Ric Flair, The Rock(does he count?), Chris Benoit
Detective Comics 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I am on the biggest Chavo kick. I think he is playing the perfect heel, Chavo Sr. is doing a good job as manager, and I think he can get it done in the ring. BOLD STATEMENT: He is single-handedly reviving the Rey Mysterio division. 1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Mick Foley. Ever since KOTR 98 he has been. Especially when I purchased a couple of tapes of what he had done in ECW (the anti-Hardcore stuff especially.) His first book just cemented it. I'm glad to have him back, he gives me a reason to purchase the PPV this month.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 It used to be Chris Jericho. However, when he became a midcard heel he didn't really have anything decent going on and has been mostly just used to put others over. I don't expect him to be pushed into a feud with Benoit although it would be great to see. Maybe the face turn will breathe new life into his character but I think I'll get sick of it very quickly. Eddy I'm really digging right now, and he'd have been my easy choice late last-year for favorite. However, it's hard to get as excited these days when his opponents are so lackluster. Benoit probably my favorite right now, although I'm not expecting his reign to be very long. As long as he's not bounced back down to upper-midcarder and gets the Jericho treatment, it'll be fun to watch just to see him in action. However, WWE needs to stop with this shit about making first-time champions main event Hour 1 and still focusing on the same games even when they're not champion. Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Three Way tie between Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho, and John Cena. Eddie because of his flare in and out of the ring. When he cuts a promo while being pumped up is pretty cool to me. When he is fired up in the ring always gets me interested even more in the match itself. His in ring skills have always been there and when he cheats it's a thing of beauty. Plus, he has the best entrance in the biz, IMO. Chris Jericho has been my favorite for a while now. He's always had the great microphone skills whether face or heel, and his in ring skills are great when he's on. He was a great underdog face in 2000-early 2001 when he should have won the title, and as a heel he played a great arrogant jackass. He also has the great ability to make his opponents look great. John Cena is my favorite as well because of his microphone skills and his talent to get the crowd all riled up. Whether it be in the ring when he's making a comeback or before a match. He has decent catchphrase, and some cool trademark moves (FU, Throwback, Five Knuckle Shuffle). He has the best entrance music IMO, and when he improves in the ring, he will be the total package. cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Chris Benoit. Not being in an area that televised ECW, the first time I really paid attention to Benoit was when he returned to WCW in the fall of 1995. Blew me away. The no nonsense attitute, the intensity, the presicion offense, everything. He was a monster heel in the body of a cruiserweight. Benoit has been my favorite current-day performer since the day Bret Hart announced his retirement.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted April 4, 2004 It's been Jericho for like three years now, and he's probably my all-time favourite. He's blonde, Canadian, and doesn't suck at promos. Done and done.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 3) Rob Van Dam. I don't have an actual reason for liking him so much, I just do. It's the mark in me. 2) TIE: Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. What can I say about the Canadian Chrises? Jericho's witty, has the crowd at the palm of his hands, and is a very talented wrestler. Benoit's probably the only guy who can get me excited about a feud without any buildup. He's *that* good at in-ring storytelling. That's impressive. 1) Edge. Duh. Notable Mentions: Eddie, Noble, London (I've been digging him on Velocity lately), the former WGTT.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I would say Benoit, but since everyone has already, I'll go with my #2 and 3/4 guys... Ultimo Dragon: I'm not counting his WWE stuff, because he's being fucked over. Tie: The Worlds Greatest Tag Team: Well, now the EX-WGTT. Benjamin more than Haas, but I marked for them the first time they teamed up on Smackdown as Team Angle.
Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Even though I've only seen him in a few WWE matches, some clips, a WAR match or two I've found on Sledgehammer, and the AKI video games, my favorite wrestler right now is Ultimo Dragon. I like the outfit, LOVE the entran,ce and even though they restrict what he can do, he is SO MUCH FUN to watch. That man will go dwon as one of the greatest ever. Yoshihiro Tajiri is always entertaining to watch, and he plays his gimmick so well. He's weird, he's twisted, he can be funny without saying a word, and well, I belive only Low Ki and Ultimo could legitmately trade kicks with him as pro wrestlers go. Benoit is also among my favorites, but he's on RAW and I don;t have cable, so I can't see him anymore. But he's always solid. And for some reason I just like Billy Kidman. Don't ask me why, I know he's not a great cruiser, but I can't deny there's something I like about his work.
Guest Fook Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Besides the usual suspects (Eddie, Benoit, Jericho), I'm digging Christian (especially with heel Trish), Chavo (both of them), Cena, and Benjamin.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I'm still a Jericho mark (notice my name), even though I'll admit he hasn't had a really good match since WM last year. I always find his promo work entertaining, and he seems to have a good head for the business and is always willing to put folks over. My favorite guy to watch in the ring is Benoit. Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Right at this stage, I'll say Chris Benoit. People didn't like him feuding with Paul Heyman on SmackDown! and then jumping over to Raw, but at least he left his previous brand with a bang. He's finally getting what he deserves - he's the World Heavyweight Champion, and transitional Champion or not, he's not getting a one-night reign. Honourable mentions: Eddy Guerrero Kurt Angle (well, you know) Shelton Benjamin Randy Orton Shawn Micheals

My favorite guy to watch in the ring is Benoit. i'd say his match at WM this year was pretty good too. My favorite since 1998 has been Jericho and still is. I just love the guy, great promos and ringwork. He can't do wrong in my eyes. I hope he gets to challenge Benoit soon. Tied in second place would have to be the current champions, Benoit and Eddie. Probably the best 2 wrestles in the federation right now, with Eddie maybe getting a tiny advantage because of his charisma and LATIIIIIIINO HEAT!

As far as being a Cruiserweight, Rey's fantastic, but he wouldn't be my favourite WWE wrestler at this point - I'm pushing more towards guys that could/are carry/ing the company.
