Papacita Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 HBK's my all-time favorite, and even though I've found myself rooting against him in matches against Benoit, he's one of the few wrestlers in the WWE that can get me to mark out. Next to Shawn, probably Eddie. I've just been a fan of his since the ECW days. Cena, Rey, Angle and Benoit are all up there too.
Internet Warfare Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 I always liked the Velocity guys like London, Shannon, and Tajiri. My favorite has to be Christian though, He's never half-assed and doesnt cause trouble which is ok in my book.
Guest Coffey Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Right now, I'd have to say Jamie Noble. He's great in the ring, and good at working his gimmick. He can talk when he has to, and is good at staying in character when he does so. He has a good finisher too. Behind Jamie Noble, would probably be Val Venis. He's stuck in a dead end gimmick and gets less TV time than a lot of cruiserweights however, so he's pretty much fucked.
Guest Redhawk Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 The Rock, because he's entertaining. More specifically...he can play either a heel or face wonderfully, he is athletic, he can wrestle, and he just has an innate sense of timing, both comedic and wrestling-wise as far as telling a story in the ring. And his promos are top-notch. But with Rock only wrestling every now and then, my "active" favorite is Booker T. Why? Because he's Black, I'm Black, and I'm racist. No, really, it's because...I don't know. I just like him. He's good in the ring and on the mic. I just like his style.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 It's interesting that Rico and Jackie Gayda were drafted to SmackDown!, yet we have seen none of them. When he's released, and he will be, he could be a big wheel in MMA.
Lil' Bitch Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 It's interesting that Rico and Jackie Gayda were drafted to SmackDown!, yet we have seen none of them. He works Velocity for now. When he's rele... *gags you and tells you to hush
Guest Anglesault Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 It's interesting that Rico and Jackie Gayda were drafted to SmackDown!, yet we have seen none of them. He works Velocity for now. And want to know something scary? That makes Deon happier than a pig in shit. As does Rico getting squashed. He's a SUPERFAN~!
Lil' Bitch Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 You'll never understand no matter how times I try to explain it to you, AS.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Probably won't. The whole "my favorite wrestler is a comedy jobber, what more could I ask for?" bit just totally confuses me.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 'Sault, that's dedication for you. What would you do if Kurt Angle was jobbing on Velocity? And Deon, I know that Rico works Velocity - but I'm talking about him having not even appeared after being Drafted, for fuck's sake.
Garth Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 As is probably evident from my sig its Jericho, although i haven't been watching all that much as of late so i don't know what he's like in his current face run. I loved his heel schtik though and he consistantly puts out good matchs. He also wears the best ring gear as well. the sequined pink tights and pink shirt are the best outfit he's got needs to be worn more often.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 You have to wonder what's in store for Chris Jericho after his feud with Christian (hopefully, we can see him VS Trish Stratus). Leave him as a face for a while longer - he's been heel for over two years now, and was damn good at it. Besides, he can change his persona in one promo. When Chris Jericho wins the feud, and he will, I want him pushed towards the World Heavyweight Championship. Bad Blood: For the World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Benoit VS Chris Jericho
Garth Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 All i want from this feud with Christian is a nice gimmick match blow off with Jericho coming out on top, and then hopefully he can be moved into another high profile series of matchups to keep some momentum going.
Lil' Bitch Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 And Deon, I know that Rico works Velocity - but I'm talking about him having not even appeared after being Drafted, for fuck's sake. Its only been a week, just wait it out. If he doesn't appear on SD by this time next month, then you can continue.

Its only been a week, just wait it out. If he doesn't appear on SD by this time next month, then you can continue. Don't worry, I will. By the way, those South Park-esque wrestling pictures are cool, but it looks like Rico's got a tail. Sign of a new gimmick? Deon, it looks like I'll be coming up where toilet water spins in a certain direction, or more specifically, to Sin City.

Sign of a new gimmick? You're right. I fixed that, thanks for pointing it out, I didn't even realize it. As far as I know, nobody's made a South Park version of Rico Street yet. Deon, it looks like I'll be coming up where toilet water spins in a certain direction, or more specifically, to Sin City. Ooooo, when? For how long and what for if you don't mind me asking? Maybe we can both go to the SD TV taping here on May 18th, the SD following JD! Oh yeah!
Guest Corino 1000 Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Paul London I would say. Then I guess would be Jericho, Eddie, Beniot all those people.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 I'm going over there with a wrestler, who's there for some business, which also works in with wrestling. Unfortunately, it won't be for a while - 6 months to a year. It would be great to go to the post-Judgment Day SmackDown! taping, but I don't know if it's that soon. I'll see what's happening, but when I go over there, which I'm 90% sure that I am, it'll be for a while. And hey, if anything happens, I can impose and shack up with you. I'll keep you updated.
Guest Kane Fan Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Tajiri - love his moveset (Mist, Handspring Elbow, the kicks, Tarantula) Jericho - great in the ring, great on the mic (tie) Benoit/Eddie I'm a fan of the old Kane, the real monster with a mask...
EricMM Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Please don't die Paul London!! After seeing him V. Shane and him V. LowKi and Styles and him V. Xaviar... He's the greatest!
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted April 4, 2004 Author Report Posted April 4, 2004 At my fraternity's semi-formal last night, "awards" were handed out for the year. One of the guys got the "Chris Benoit Best Technical Drinker" award. Of course this totally went over the crowd's head, but still, I found it funny when I heard it announced. Another reason Benoit rules, cause he inspires.
SamoaRowe Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Right now, my favorite wrestlers is actually Eddie Guerrero. I know this is a common choice, but the guy is impossible not to love right now. His skills, charisma, entrance, and the fact that the fans love him so much and WWE noticed this and pushed him to be WWE Champion gives me hope for the future of wrestling! Also, I've seen him live on four occasions, and in a total of five matches overall, so I'm sort of stuck on him. Other faves... Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, Paul London, Chavo Guerrero, Big Show, Shelton Benjamin, and Chris Jericho. Most of my favorite wrestlers work for other feds right now though.
clean rob Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 You have to wonder what's in store for Chris Jericho after his feud with Christian (hopefully, we can see him VS Trish Stratus). Yes, that match has ***** written all over it... Count me in as another Jericho mark, though. Heel, face, whatever. I just love his mannerisms in the ring. "That's all she wrote baby! "
King Cucaracha Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Right at this stage, I'll say Chris Benoit. People didn't like him feuding with Paul Heyman on SmackDown! and then jumping over to Raw, but at least he left his previous brand with a bang. He's finally getting what he deserves - he's the World Heavyweight Champion, and transitional Champion or not, he's not getting a one-night reign. Honourable mentions: Eddy Guerrero Kurt Angle (well, you know) Shelton Benjamin Randy Orton Shawn Micheals That's disgusting! Also forgot to mention Kane. Yes, I'm a Kanenite. Oh, the irony. Right now Eddie Guerrero'd be my favorite wrestler over Benoit, purely for what he's been through. And the fact he's more interesting to watch, in the ring and out of course. Honorable mentions to Chavo Snr and Rosey for being entertaining when they really have no right to be.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 'Sault, that's dedication for you. What would you do if Kurt Angle was jobbing on Velocity? Bitch, complain and start letter writing campaign.
CanadianChick Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 'Sault, that's dedication for you. What would you do if Kurt Angle was jobbing on Velocity? Bitch, complain and start letter writing campaign. Well, you've got two for three so far!
Guest Anglesault Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Oh, I wrote a bunch of letters when they made him work Velocity.
ChrisMWaters Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Oh, I wrote a bunch of letters when they made him work Velocity. Yes, but did you MAIL them? EDIT: Personally, I don't see the big deal about Angle working Velocity that one time. HHH worked Heat once...Edge worked Velocity...so what's the big deal?
Guest Anglesault Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 Oh, I wrote a bunch of letters when they made him work Velocity. Yes, but did you MAIL them? ? One e-mail, one regular mail.
