Most Annoying Wrestling video game losses

My buddy and I were playing our caws against one another. Close match, no clear upperhand held. At about the twenty minute mark I hit a powerbomb, then I proceed to go for a slingshot shoulder block. I go for it way too early and eat the mat. My friend then does the Rick Rude taunt, then pins me. We watched the replay for at least ten minutes, cracking up, him rubbing it in the whole time. That was also the last time he beat me in pretty much any game, a fact that I remind him if he ever gets cocky.

That has to be the funniest shit I've ever heard about a wrestling match. I'd rub it in too.

 

 

 

Here's one kind of off-topic, as it's not a loss, but just a massacre. I was Brock facing a buddy who used Matt Hardy. I proceed to give him about 40 or 50 F5's over the course of 10-15 minutes and I'm bustin out laughing the whole time. I finally give him the mercy kill with a clothesline for the win.

This actually happened on Thursday.

 

I'm playing HCTP as my Cliff Young CAW, who is 8 in everything, and I'm in Season Mode (just started a new Season with him after three seasons of building up my Laz CAW). The second week of April is Cliff/Christian against HHH/Rock. The match is ALL Cliff/Christian, with me just suplexing the shit out of Rock and HHH as Cliff, and doing tons of dropkicks and inverted DDTs as Christian. Then, HHH comes in, does the short-arm whip, and nails a Pedigree on Cliff (who was only in the yellow for his head). 1-2-3. What-the-FUCK?!

I use to piss a buddy of mine off so bad when I would just whip his ass with Jericho and do the cocky pin with the foot on the chest. And to make it worse when I knew I had him I would stand up and imitate it while the game is counting him out

Because he is the f*cking game! Or because it's the most deadly finisher in wrestling even though his knees take more impact than the guys face. Except for that Jobber in 1995 and Spike Dudley who landed square on their heads. Then that hurts

Smackdown-SYM. Now, I admit, I'm very bad at video games, but I had pretty much mastered the Royal Rumble. So I thought, what the hell, let's put it on hard. I was RVD I believe, and I just left the entrants the way they were. Anyways, I make it to the final three with Rob, and it's me, Undertaker, and Torrie Wilson. I'm thinking, hell, I 'm not going for Taker first, so I try to throw Torrie out. She reverses, and I'm out.

 

To further the WTF moment, Torrie goes on the win the Rumble. I wanted to cry.

And speaking of FLUKES...I'm playing as my CAW Joanie Laurer (SHUT UP~!), and a second ago I had a 4 way escape only cage match against Eddy, Tajiri and Maven. Now the bell rings, I go at Maven and Tajiri goes at Eddy. Now...and I'm still trying to figure out how this happened...Tajiri kicks Eddy...poses...and Eddy calmly walks by him and climbs out of the cage. The match lasted all of 5 seconds. WTF????!

I had forgotten about that. I don't think I've ever been that angry at a video game.

right before I finished my season with Booker the other day, I had a match with Rock and the Undertaker came out from to interfere. When I saw him coming, I bailed out to the floor, grabbed a chair and hit *TAKER*...and I got DQ'd! WTF???!

This wasn't a loss but On Championship Mode in No Mercy I was in the Tag Title mode and I do the Corporation Storyline and I'm the Guest referee for Steven Richards vs. Shane Mcmahon and I did abut 10 Tombstones on Steven but that Egomaniac Shane had to Keep posing and only try to pin him after he did his stupid finisher(I refused to count) and it took 43 minutes for him to realise that he should try to Pin Steven after I did a Tombstone.

I've had that happen in Ladder Matches a lot. I get knocked with the ladder once, and the guy climbs up and wins.

I usually play SD!:HCTP with the intent on making my opponents tap out or performing some wacko diving move off of the Times Square marquee. So every once in a while, I'll be playing against someone with a high threshold for pain, like the Undertaker, so even though I've got him in the red and can pin him, I still go for the submission. A couple of missteps later, and I'm pinned after a Tombstone.

 

The latter is even worse. I could be owning the guy for ten minutes, getting him to follow me to Times Square, but if my timing is wrong or the prone opponent isn't in position, I go splat, my health meter goes ca-ca, and I get pinned like a mofo. Case in point: I used Shelton Benjamin in Season mode and tried to win the Hardcore Title from my CAW Tazz. Three times I fell off the marquee, and three times he pinned me. At the end of the season, after winning a shot at the World Title at Mania, lo and behold, it's Tazz again. I fall off the HIAC, and the electronic bitch climbs down and calmly makes me tap.

Shelton Benjamin jobbing to Tazz at Wrestlemania. If this were 2001 I can easily see that happening. I remember losing a hardcore match (impromtu) vs. Goldberg cause I fell off a truck roof a few times. But I needed to lose it so I (Kane) could fight midcarders.

Funny thing about losing to Tazz three times in succession: after each loss, the next week I was able to talk to him backstage each time. He'd say stuff to belittle the fact that I couldn't beat him, and depending on my response, I always got some SP+ points from him. One time, he was berating me for a loss, and Jazz walked up to him. He tried to hit on her, and I ruined his chances by insulting her. That got me 5 heel points!

 

I'm now playing Season mode with CAW Mikey Whipwreck. My first show I challenged CAW Jamie Noble for the Cruiser belt and got my shit ruined. Damn me for making Noble omnipotent!

No Mercy, when in almost any cage match I have against the CPU I'll be winning the whole match all around and then the CPU will hit a finisher once and then climb the cage

 

even if I get up it's impossible to knock them off the cage

I was in a ladder match, my CAW against my Scott Hall CAW for the title. I kicked his ass, he had more red and yellow than Hulk Hogan, when he gets in a freaking LEFT HOOK that knocksme down for what seems like 5 minutes while he sets up the ladder, climbs, and grabsthe belt.

I once created a monster on No Mercy. It was a friggin Michael Shane CAW. He beat me in every match I played him in at like 1:30. That's what I get for cloning him from Shawn Michaels.

 

 

Another embarassing loss came in that game when I was beating my brother's ass in an Iron Man Match. I got up 2 falls, then he came back. He beat me 15 straight falls to 2.

 

 

He also beat me in WM XIX with a freakin arm drag. I was Benoit and he was Eddie and we were in the middle of an awesome match. He went for a Frog Splash and I dodged it. I went to go pick him up and he countered that and arm draged me.

 

Ok here's my last loss. I was playing a 3 Way match as Brock Lesnar against Spanky and Paul London in HCTP. I was destroying them. I was just toying around with them. They got in a few chair shots here and there, slowly wearing me down. So I knock out Spanky with an STO. I go to F-5 London through a table and he counters with a Kick and he hits his DDT finisher. Paul London is the new World Champion.

Probably the time I lost to Michael Cole in a ladder match on one of the PS1 Smackdowns. I dominated him the whole match, he hit on move, then grabbed the briefcase from the ladder. I was PISSED for a few hours after that one.

Are you sure PS1? SD 1 didn't have ladder matches, and I don't remember Cole being in SD2. Maybe I never unlocked him (thank God)

Try fighting the BEAR (I'm serious, a bear) in Fire ProWrestling 2 on GBA. Damn near impossible. I finally got lucky in a deathmatch playing as Vader.
