WrestleMania was Benoit's night, and I can see now that having Bret there would have overshadowed that. At the time, I liked it, but it turned out much better with just him and Eddie, and really, just him. Bret would have been way too much. If Bret coming back just to congratulate Benoit (and maybe keep the match clean) leads to a long-term Michaels/Benoit feud, I'm all for it. I still say the man deserves closure on his WWE career.
