bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 on a semi-related note... I caught the tail end of Dennis Rodman on Stern while driving to class yesterday morning. There were takling about how there was gonna be an announcement soon by a team for his return to the NBA, meaning a team has signed him (or is getting ready to sign him) for one year. Is this common knowledge? I haven't been following Rodman's latest antics.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 If that is true, I'm guessing an Eastern Conference team who got really desperate looking for someone in the front court signed him. Maybe... Toronto? They've been juggling centers and power forwards all season long.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 Rodman's been saying he's coming back for like two years now. I'll take this with a grain of salt.

alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 I swear Isiah Thomas lists Mark Aguirre and Brendan Malone as dependants on his job applications. Those guys are EVERYWHERE with him.

Is this common knowledge? I haven't been following Rodman's latest antics. He actually announced his return on The View almost two weeks ago. Basically he says he's in the best shape in a long time, he's given up the drinking and partying. That and he talked about his family. I'm definitely thinking it will be an Eastern Conference team. I have a strange feeling it might be the Knicks, based on the fact that he's always seemed to be on good terms with Isaiah.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 That's exactly what I was thinking.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 I hope it's the Bulls. I know it's impossible but we're desperate
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 Seeing Rodman in Philly would be cool, but the fact that his abilities are questionable, and the combination of him, AI, and O'Brien would propably leave Philadelphia somewhere sunken in the Delaware River. Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 I just looked, and I didn't see it... Link plz? Dennis Rodman's Profile And, for the record, I never said that any announcement was official; I said that his profile was up...

Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted June 9, 2004 The Knicks need to worry about getting a coach before worrying about what headcase power fowards they can sign.

bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2004 What the fuck was that no-call-foul on Billups on his shot with 11 secs left. Even the announcer was like "no foul!?!?" of course ABC didnt bother replaying that play either.
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted June 9, 2004 Unless I missed something, has Detroit scored in OT ? They hit one basket
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 9, 2004 Even then, the score would at most have been 99-93 LA. Good game. And I didn't even get to watch it. But I imagined it all, and it was fuckin awesome. Now LA has to go to Detroit for 3 games, with that dominating defense in front of them in front of a loud crowd. LA has to win one in Detroit in order for them to win the series. Sad, but true, also easier said than done.
The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2004 Although the referees probably wouldn't call a sixth foul on Kobe or Shaq unless they stabbed someone with a rusty knife, it still bit the Pistons in the ass BIG-TIME that they couldn't get those guys out of the game. And yes, that Black Eyed Peas song is getting REALLY annoying, but on the other hand, when you have only one theme song to play for the entire playoffs, ANYTHING would become irritating after 2 1/2 months. The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2004 LA has to win one in Detroit in order for them to win the series. Sad, but true, also easier said than done. I mentioned this after Game 1, but it bears repeating: No team in NBA Finals history has ever won Games 3, 4, and 5 at home. Oddly, the ROAD team has come in and swept the three games, but the home team has never won all three.
