Guest MissMattitude Report post Posted April 13, 2004 Anyone British here going to any of the festivals this year? I got my Reading tickets, and I don't hate the line-up so far other that 50 Cent being lined up.
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2004 The Reading line up looks ok. They seem to have let go a little on their nu-metal obessesion of the past few years anyway. I'm going to V, just to see the Pixies really. And maybe throw something at Dido.
Dace59 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2004 Once again Bloodstock is the only thing that catches my interest. And even then I'm not sure if I'll go.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2004 Morrissey at leeds on the sunday will do me. Course, everything else is awful, but I'm sure I can get drunk enough to enjoy the Libertines to *some* extent.

PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2004 Well, by some sort of miracle vortex loophole it looks like I'm going to Glastonbury after all. We'll see. DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 God, I'm glad I saved my money on a Reading ticket this year. For every Hundred Reasons or Funeral For A Friend (who I'm seeing tonight, so I don't mind missing them at Reading), there is tat like the Von Bondies or the White Stripes bringing it down. Download looks pretty good (Biffy Clyro, 36 Crazyfists and Akercocke on the same stage!), but I need to save money for my impending move to Nottingham

DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 I caught Hundred Reasons by accident last year, as I was trying to get a good spot for AFI, and they were excellent, much better than I was expecting. Sadly, I overslept for Biffy Clyro, which I wasn't too upset about until I bought the album a few months later and realised it was excellent
Dace59 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 Opeth playing at Download....oh god here comes the wave of wannabe fan boys. And still Bloodstock is the only thing worth paying money to see. Even with the random good metal bands at Download.

I might be going on the Sunday, to be honest this type of rock/metal music only makes up about 10% of my record collection but i'm sure it would be enjoyable. Saturday looks terrible though, I like Monster Magnet's older stuff (Spine Of God, Dopes To Infinity) a lot but I can't imagine sitting through much else. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 5, 2004 Dillinger is playing on the same stage as Linkin Park... What. At least I can take comfort in knowing DEP will get booed and ignored mercilessly, as well as make one new fan.

KTID 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 I'm going to T In The Park, as I do every year, mainly for David Bowie, The Strokes, The Pixies and The Libertines. I would've loved to go to the Isle Of Wight festival and/or the Move festival in Manchester, but unfortunately lack of money/lack of interested friends to go with means that i'll miss out (also, part of the Move festival over-laps with T In The Park, so I couldn't have went to both even if I wanted to.
