Canada 'sells US high-grade pot'

Recommended Posts

Guest Brian

But that means you're legalizing stuff just so people can profit off of, and you're not dealing with the criminal issue. It's like, it's okay, as long as us and our friend make money off it, but if you pull this shit and try to make a profit or get around us, we'll throw your ass in jail.

Barely. But only if you're Canadian.

The summer of 2003 will no doubt go down as the most balls-to-the-wall summer in terms of the sheer amount of people I saw smoking weed in public places. My friend lit up a joint in direct view of a cop at SARS-Stock and nothing happened, apparently because the police were given special orders to ignore all people smoking up.

I loves my country.

Between the decriminalization of cannabis and the absence of zealot censors, Canada doesn't sound like that bad a place for me to live

Now if you could only do something about the egregiously high income tax...

...and the atrocious health care system

...and the inability to elect 75% of your government

...and the fact that England still has a hand in your business

...and the Jr. Frenchies

...and the beavers on your currency

...on second thought, I'll stick around the US for awhile

They ask their kids.

Parents: The Anti-drug.

"Hate is my anti-drug."

Black-tar heroine was my anti-drug.

I think (like in the US) it would depend on the job. My friend recently got a job with a hardware store and they did a piss test on him. But other then that I haven't heard of anything major.

Angelslayer- Our atrocious health care system? This is an American calling Canada's health care system atrocious?

Yeah right.

Yeah right.

I'll say it.

You don't see Americans going to see Canadian specialists.

You don't see a quarter of Canadians without any sort of medical coverage either.

But you do see tons of Canadians going to America for surgery and other services.

A neat "Did you know": Did you know that the University of Michigan has more MRI (I think that's the one) machines than all of Canada? Nice job, boys...

Stupid dick-waving.

"Hey, we got more cat scan machines then you do, Canada! Eat it!"

Oh fuck off. We have better equipment, better staff, and better facilities; that's just an example of how Canada's system is underequiped. Why do you think that they come here for surgery and other important medical procedures?

Ironically enough, every American is entitled to medical treatment if they go to an emergency room. They cannot legally refuse service to anybody, regardless of inability to pay.

Cool, huh?

Yeah, as someone who has had family spend alot of time in hospitals, and an aunt that worked in one for 35 years, I can assure that our healthcare system sucks donkeyballs right now. At least in Ontario. In terms of surgery anyways. We are better than the US when it comes to prescription medication and innoculations.

Not exactly correct.

As a constitutional monarchy, the Queen is considered the Head of State, but she has no real power. Her proxies, the Governor-General and Lieutenant-Governors, are appointed by the Canadian government. So, no real fingers in the pot.

The fact that you even have and recognize proxies for the government that once subjugated you says everything

Yeah, it says that we like maintaining food relations with other countries.

In all seriousness, having the Queen as Head of State is a topic of debate that comes up every so often, but to be honest, it's not a huge deal. It's not like we're tithing to England or anything.

That's because your gov't forces our pharmaceutical companies to sell their drugs at a loss up there.

We have to make up the difference down here.

Has anyone considered that smoking marijuana exposes you to FOUR TIMES the level, of carcinogens, compared to smoking tobacco.

Therefore, shouldn’t there be a negative stigma associated with smoking pot too?

Well maybe so, when it falls out of favor as the drug of choice for this generation.

I wonder if you can bring a law suite against your drug dealer, if you are dying of lung cancer? Maybe when pot becomes incorporated as, “Big Marijuana.”

No one smokes joints even a quarter of the amount that people smoke cigs.

Ashcroft is also a very good source.

That hypocritical son of a BITCH! He's been selling to Canadians this whole time!

You don't see American hospitals closing down because they ran out of funds.

Actually Mike, I do recall one DC area public hospital doing just that. I'm sure you could say "not many" but it has happened.

My ex did. The chick was a ridiculous pothead when she got her hands on "good stuff".

Come on --- after a busy day of trampling on the First Amendment --- what would YOU do to unwind?

You don't see American hospitals closing down because they ran out of funds.

Really? I, honestly, never heard of that story.

That four times the carcinogens is misleading, too. The manner in which pot is smoked has a lot to do with that. Unfiltered, and held in the lungs.

Most people don't smoke that much weed to have it be comparable, but 19 times out of 20, a pot smoker smokes cigarettes too, so I guess it adds up.

Still though, anyone who doesn't realize that smoke is harmful when inhaled is lost anyway.

Agent, we have to include DIRECTIONS ON SHAMPOO to avoid lawsuits.

I think a lot of people are lost.

It's a pain in the ass being socially liberal and expecting people to have some common sense, I tell ya.

PERSONALLY, I say we put intentionally bad directions on products (i.e, "hair dryers are GREAT when used while taking a shower").

Would thin out some of the idiots, at the very least.
