This might now be the wrong folder but I'm not sure.

What's your favorite moments of Steve Austin, Stone Cold or otherwise?

for me, some include,

WHen he used the beer hose on vince.

Stunnering Santa.

When he dressed up as Vince's corprate champion only to smack Vince square in the grapefruits.

His WM matches with The Rock.

His run with Pillman.

The feud with Steamboat.

I think Austins ECW promo as Hulk Hogan was pretty funny.

Stunnering Stacy. served her right. The more use-less of non-wrestlers.

The ambulance attack on Bret Hart, which Undertaker later stole.

Wrestlemania XIII of course.

I'd name more, but I don't wanna take up too much time.

When he dressed up as Vince's corprate champion only to smack Vince square in the grapefruits.

The week before when Vince tells him that he could do it "His way or the hard way" alawys cracks me up no matter how many times I see it.

When Austin asks Vince if he could have a moment to think about it and then he turns around and rubs his face, then putting his finger to his head as if he is in deep though as if he is really thinking about it.

Funny shite.

God I miss those days.

His WM matches with The Rock.

.

No question.

Even the Rock considers it his greatest moment.

Never liked super-face Austin, but I absolutely adored heel Steve. From hugging Vince, to the Austin/Angle stuff, to the awesome matches w/ Benoit (and others), it was all good. Even if it was bad for business, I loved every second of it, even the "what" stuff (before the crowd started chanting it).

Yeah, when Austin was a heel doing it to be a dickhead, it was great. But once he turned face, stopping ever sentence for the fans to say it, it just got stale.

Excuse me?

Austin, a man with a conviction for domestic assault due to drink, is given free rein to attack a female non-wrestler on a programme because she won't drink beer - and you don't see a problem with this? What's more, at that time Austin had been told that he couldn't attack ANYONE unless physically provoked. Everyone else he ever stunnered at that time had touched him in some way first. Stacy didn't. She just didn't want to drink the beer.

So, the message is that it's OK for someone with a recognised drink problem to attack a woman because they don't like beer EVEN WHEN they have to have specific conditions met for them to lay a finger on anyone else. Even people who'd be able to defend themselves.

Next week, Stacy comes out - and drinks beer. So the message now is that when a woman is attacked, she should correct her behaviour in order to not make the man attack her again.

Austin at that time annoyed me anyway, but that one angle made me want to throw a brick through my tv. It was wrong on so many levels. Sure, don't use Stacy on tv - I find her attractive but if it came to it I'd rather see good wrestling on a wrestling show - I can find attractive women elsewhere. Fine, even have non-wrestlers attacked by wrestlers if you must - AS LONG as it is made clear that this is a BAD action. The WWE got away with the Dudleys putting Stacy through a table because JR and King sold it as a heinous act. When Austin stunnered Stacy, JR basically said "that's Austin!" - and that was that. No morals. Nothing to suggest that what we had just seen was wrong. Although there was never outright approval for it, the very lack of disapproval coupled with Stacy's actions the next week implied tacit approval.

I liked Steve Austing the WRESTLER mainly his matches vs Brett Hart. What I disliked was the last few years of Austin as the drunk, GM, Sheriff which was generally a waste of time. I hated the beer celebration in the ring and the stunner on people just for the cheap pop.

I think Stacy is waste of TV Time.

And piss and moan about the Dudley Boyz gimmick in 2000. Putting female wrestlers/whatever through tables for no reason other than "They felt like it". cough:hypocrite:cough And yes, I noticed you mentioned Stacy. They also put a 75 year old geezer through one off the entrance set.

Edit: I am Pro-Austin by the way.

Edit Again: Wrestling is Fake. Taking anything on a wrestling show serious = stupid. The only way Stacy could get hurt was landing on her knees, but that wouldn't hurt since she's probably on them every night to keep getting T.V. time despite lack of anything.

His work in late-1996. His vicious heel promos on Pillman and Bret. His amazing Survivor Series match. Great (although short) Raw matches with Michaels, Foley, and Vader. Before injuries, before the quasi-face turn, before the full face turn. He was at his best as a raving psychotic heel.

What? Your name is Hugh Morrus. What? Is that supposed to be humorous?

His skits with Angle had me in tears everytime I watched them.

I love how one RAW he kept saying 'My name is Stone Cold Steve Austin' and Vince responded with: Steve- everyone knows what your name is.

And of course....

THE BEDPAN OF DOOM!~

The Dude Love feud was good as well, the match at Over The Edge 98 put over both wrestlers, advanced the Austin/McMahon feud and made the Undertaker look a total badass.

I can imagine a Ultra Heel Invasion type Austin in Japan...with a Japanese wrestler as a underling trying to talk to him

Austin: Im sorry I don't speak Chinese.

Every single time he and the Rock got in the ring together was simply classic...they will go down as the best fued of the Attitude era...all of those in ring segments where you could just feel the intensity between the two and later on when the did the sing along together...classic...the respect between those two gave way to some amazing moments..I'll never forget 'Mania when after three Rock Bottoms Rock finally pinned Austin and held his hand as he was pinning him...it was just great to see the two of them like that...I doubt we'll see anything that great again...at least not until Eddie and Benoit can be on the same show again

Also, his interaction with RVD during the Alliance always had me rolling.

The Interrogation segment was awesome, Especially when RVD says that he's never heard Austin's watch say anything.

Hell, take the stuff with Hollywood Blondes, Hart, HBK, Rock, Triple H, Benoit, Angle, and the Invasion and put it all on a "Ultimate Steve Austin" DVD and just count the money as it rolls in.

Yeah, I'd snap up a Flair-style Austin DVD straight away, it would make a ton of cash. Provided disc 3 isn't called 'Austin - The GM Years' or something.

I'd go for that, and while a series of those sorts of DVDs would be neat and mean a lot of $ for WWE, it would be nice to keep it Flair-exclusive.

That had me in stitches too. When Austin's interrogating the Alliance to find out who the traitor is, and everyone's scared or angry... except RVD, who's just confused. And it was Van Dam's delivery as well - he wasn't even really talking to Austin, just mentioning that he's never heard the watch talk... brilliant.

Too many to list but one of the first one that pops into my head was when he did the sing along with The Rock to Margaritaville. The tension between the two of them was just awesome and even though you knew that one of them was going to snap and attack, you had no idea which one or when. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for it even though I really had no big interest in either performer at the time.

Austin's work from 1995(ECW) till Survivor Series 2001 were the best years for Steve Austin, his Hollywood Blonde character was great but his ECW and WWF stuff was gold before he became a locker room cancer and a predictable boring has-been of a wrestler.

RVD could do no wrong back in 2001 hopefully he gets motivated again like he was back then.

RVD being motivated again is as improbable as sex after marriage. I busted out a semi-Clue quote for all the Clue lovers. [does a horible spin-a-rooni]

Too many favorite moments to mention, but one of my favorites was at Canadian Stampede when he left the ring to start a brawl with the whole Hart family at ringside. And then when he was led away in cuffs and pissed off the Canadians even more by flipping them off on the ramp.

His entire heel run in 2001 was golden. Some of the stuff they did as a wink wink to long time fans was really good writing, believe it or not. Like being attacked by Taker in the ambulance the way he did to Bret, or throwing Angle's medals over the bridge like he did the IC belt, or being sprayed by the milk truck the way he sprayed Rock with beer. All these things really showed how the Austin character had come full circle.

My favorite Stone Cold moment?

When he stunnered Shane McMahon after his first comeback, at whatever PPV it was. Twice! And both times beer came spewing like a damn fountain out of Shane's mouth. Awesome.

I also loved his tirade against Stephanie in the ring, and HHH was supposedly in the hospital at the time. He had Steph in the corner crying. Also awesome.

And then the Alliance stuff. All awesome.

I liked the guy when I was a mark, but every time I see an Austin match these days I am bored to death(even older ones) and frankly, I'd rather see Hogan wrestle. Even now, Hogan is more entertaining than Austin in my opinion.
