Guest wrestlingbs Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Usually there's a thread already here for the Comedy central 10 PM hour. Anyway, South Park was pretty funny tonight. They could have gone the easy route and said that Micheal was guilty, but they did something original. And it gives you an idea of how his children must think of him. Chappelle Show was a Clip show this week. Are they starting Season Three right off the bat?
Youth N Asia Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 I liked South Park for the most part. I loved Jefferson's bursting into "OWWW!" and other Jacksonisms durring a song. And "Got your nose" was great. I also liked that they implied a 4th grader could take better care of a child then Michael Jackson. Not to mention the cops. Chappelle clip show...beh
BlackFlagg Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Kenny finally gets to do something and gets killed....and he talked too, has he ever done that on the show before<out of his coat that is>, I know he did at the end of the movie but I think this was the first time on the show.
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Awww crap they're moving Chappelle Show to Tuesday nights!! I already watch 24 and The Shield on Tuesdays!!
Mik Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 I liked South Park at first, but i thought it got old fast. The only part I think I really enjoyed was Michael chasing after his son when he pulled his nose off saying "that's ignorant, you're ignorant." Chapelle Show on tuesday? Not sure how I feel about that.
Youth N Asia Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 The Shield > Chappelle's Show Sorry, Dave
BlackFlagg Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 It's Comedy Central, they re-air it the same night and multiple times over the week, no big deal
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 That's true. If they didn't I'd be screwed because my VCR is broken so that it only records. I cannot record and watch something else at one time. Technically it's not broke. There's just a prong off the end of a cable wire broken off in the connector on the back and I can't get it out. So I had to hook it up a different way.
Guest Evolution Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 South Park had a few bright spots with the Got Your Nose bit and the Jacksonisms (although they got old fast). The deal with the cops was okay, but overall the episode just seemed very weak. Chappelle's Show was disappointing too, since I've seen every skit in that clip show EXCEPT for the Rick James skit.

I wonder if he'll stay dead again, heh.
Placebo Effect Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 This always happens to the Wednesday night at 10:30 show. This allows Comedy Central to debut a new show in that slot, which will be largely helped by the boost from the (three?) additional South Park episodes left for this half of the season.
Vern Gagne Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Kenny sounded different from the movie.
Lando Griffin Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 What the heck happened to Lemmiwinks? How dare they tease us like that.
WrestlingDeacon Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 They couldn't show the Rick James skit on Chapelle, because that would be the entire episode. It looks like they're going to show second season episodes at ten and first season episodes at 10:30 on Tuesdays until season three. Is Reno 911 coming back? Lemmiwinks seems to have been a blatant bait and switch for the creators' amusement. The episode last night didn't strike me as blasting Michael Jackson is pretty passe, although they did try to attack the subject from some different angles which was a good call on them.
Skywarp! Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Kenny sounded different from the movie. That's because Kenny's voice in the movie was a Mike Judge cameo.
Guest slacklet Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 What the heck happened to Lemmiwinks? How dare they tease us like that. From their site: Production for the Lemmiwinks episode has been pushed back, there is no sure news on when or if it will air this run. We'll keep you posted.
Youth N Asia Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 At lest in the season one Chappelle clip show they gave you a little new filler material. The last one didn't do it for me. I had already seen the skits too many times.

I had already seen the skits too many times. I don't know, YNA, I can watch the Wayne Brady sketch over and over again without it getting old. "Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?" GOLD~!

Youth N Asia Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 I just saw Wayne Brady again the night before. And Kenny was the kid dressed as Blanket
WrestlingDeacon Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 I think they should do a best of clip show of the first two seasons for Chapelle. Make it at least hour, better yet make it 90 minutes so you can devote the last portion solely to Rick James. And I'm surprised they didn't put the Prince bit in there last night.
EricMM Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 I really liked Southpark, especially the cop stuff. how he was vomiting over the thought of sending a rich, white man to jail. I also really love how they've escaped most of the old conventions of the old show, such as Kenny only appearing in his hoodie.
Guest netslob Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 yeah, the cop thing would've been even funnier if it was an exaggeration.
Guest netslob Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 FYI, Kenny has taken his coat off in the show before...in the David Blaine episode at the Lincoln Memorial mass suicide scene, when Stan is sifting through the bodies looking for Kyle, he comes across a body he identifies as Kenny, by spouting the perfuctory line "Oh my god etc.etc.", and Kenny is dressed like the other cult members, i.e. without his coat. so there ya go.
razazteca Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 I can't remember but did Kenny wear the coat in the metrosexual crab people episode?
chaosrage Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 He had a gay looking coat. Next saturday btw is a SP season 8 marathon followed by the movie.
