Lightning Flik Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 I've got a serious question that I demand an answer. Why the fuck do we have an E3 Thread? I ask since everything else gets posted in a single thread of its lonesome that'll get at best, maybe 3 pages.
eiker_ir Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 that looks fucking amazing, i like this realistic look more than the last cartoony look.
Nevermortal Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 That looks one billion times better than Wind Waker.
Lightning Flik Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 *has just seen the screenshots for the new Zelda game* ...there is a God. I don't believe it. *just absolutely stunned to silence* Those are awesome graphics. We get an adult Link... What weird universe is this that we are getting granted our wishes? The new Zelda definitely is probably the biggest surprise on my list and frankly, the game I'm not wanting to play. Right away. GIMME NINTENDO! My comments on the new Zelda game from the E3 Thread. If these are the actual in game graphics and at the proper fps and stuff.... Well than I'm so freaking wanting the game right now.
Downhome Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 And for those of us with a GBA also, Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap! http://www.gbacentral.net/games.php?id=745
Guest SpiderFan Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 New Zelda makes me happy and tingly in the pants.
River City Rocker Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Wow. Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow FUCKING WOW!
DerangedHermit Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 *bink* *bink* *bink* *bink* *bink* *bink* ......uhhhhh BING!
Aero Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 This is the reason I bought Gamecube way back when. Amazing.
Guest wildpegasus Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 I didn't give WIndwaker a shot because I heard of the 2 levels being taken away to make the game easier but this here looks absolutely amazing. In the words of Kermit, "Oh yeah".
Guest MikeSC Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 So, going with Nintendo's track record, this game will be INSANELY cartoony. People seem to forget the EARLY screenshots for Wind Waker. -=Mike

Damaramu Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 *JAY AND SILENT BOB REFERENCE* Dude.....I think I just filled the cup.
LaParkaYourCar Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Wow that looks absolutely incredible. I had no problem with Wind Waker. I kind of like cell shading. However this looks even better. One question though....anyone get a LOTR vibe from some of those pics?
Cuban Linx Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 I picked up a bit of a Lord of the Rings vibe as well. My Gamecube's been picking up dust lately but these shots remind me why i keep hanging onto it, i didn't have a problem with Wind Waker's look but these are very nice looking, i can't wait.
Scroby Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Now is that Windwaker 2 or a total differant title for the Zelda series?
Guest Hot Ticket Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Alot of those look like cutscenes...i want a new zelda and somethin like this but hopefully they dont disappoint *cough*Majora's Mask*cough*
Scroby Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 There is a trailer for this game. go to www.gametrailers.com and click the link. The new Halo 2 one is there also.
dubq Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Ho. Lee. Shit. *dusts off his Gamecube* Anyone have a release date on this sucker? *crosses fingers for Q4 2004*
Lightning Flik Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Ho. Lee. Shit. *dusts off his Gamecube* Anyone have a release date on this sucker? *crosses fingers for Q4 2004* Considering they've said it has been in production for a long time, that Q4 of this year might not be a bad betting release date.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Now is that Windwaker 2 or a total differant title for the Zelda series? Wind Waker 2 is a completely different game (still with the cel shaded graphics) and it will supposedly be out this year. Its supposedly more of like Majora's Mask where its based in the same world as Wind Waker with a new storyline, which is why it shouldn't take as long to develop and put out. This version supposedly will be out next year. Considering how long this has been in development (secretly even) itshould have a release date thats pretty close to now.

Well damnit, now I need screenshots of what Windwaker 2 is gonna look like so I can get people to pre order that game and I get tons of commishion.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 I went looking for screenshots of WW2 and couldnt find any. I found this article that totally killed my last post however. From Gamespot: Just after the end of E3 2004's first day, Nintendo held a roundtable discussion so that the press could hear from the director of Wind Waker and Link's new adventure, Eiji Aonuma. During the event, Aonuma confirmed that the new Legend of Zelda game unveiled at Nintendo's pre-E3 press conference is currently scheduled for release in 2005. Additionally, this game is the same game that Aonuma referred to as "The Wind Waker 2" back at the Game Developers Conference in March. The game won't be called The Wind Waker 2 when it's completed, and won't be a sequel to the last GameCube Zelda game. Link is said to be a teenager in this new adventure. Additionally, Link's horse--not confirmed to be Epona--is said to be a prominent element of the gameplay. We'll have more on The Legend of Zelda as it becomes available.

If Link is a teen will this pick up after the events of "Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link"? He was 16 in that. Then again a lot of people seem to think that there is more than one Link since the stories don't all match up. I guess since there was more than one Zelda it would make a little sense. After all, according to the Zelda 2 booklet they named all the girls Zelda after the original was put under that spell.
Scroby Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Hmmmm it'll be intresting to find out when this zelda takes place in the timeline.
