Guest Fook Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Why would Chavo have to tie his hand around his back to face Jackie? He already lost to her when using both hands. It really should have been done the other way around. When Jackie came out as the "surprise challenger" last week, Chavo should've laughed and faced her with one hand around his back. He loses. He gets a rematch at the PPV, but gets to use both hands this time.
Lil' Bitch Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 And they didn't even announce any new matches for JD? Great...now I HAVE to watch Velocity. *groans
Lord of The Curry Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 It's ok, you don't need to lie. You, I and the entire board knows that not only will you watch Velocity, you'll order the PPV regardless.
JoeDirt Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Wow...could JD possibly get a lower buyrate than IYH 4 or 5? We might be looking at a new record here.
Jericho2000Mark Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Triple H as Undisputed Champ? No thanks...
Detox Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 i guess if i could sit through thr waning days of WCW Thunder I can watch Smackdown and I've actually found a friend who is dumb/brave enough to waste his money on Judgement Day so I guess I will sit through that also but lets all remember that the liquor store is not open on sunday and you will need something to dull the pain stock up early!!
Tawren Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 According to WWE: Chavo Jr. > entire CW division Jackie > Chavo Jr. Chavo Sr. > Jackie How can one group of people be so stupid?
Guest PowerPB13 Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 When your last name is McMahon, stupidity comes naturally. -Patrick WWE WWE
CanadianChick Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Alright Patrick, your smiley faces are getting annoying. Please stop it. And what a nothing Smackdown. I just can't believe how much this screams second-rate.
JoeDirt Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Alright Patrick, your smiley faces are getting annoying. Please stop it. And what a nothing Smackdown. I just can't believe how much this screams second-rate. It's like they actively TRY to put on a boring show. Next up: Bringing back the Bodydonnas to compete in the tag team division once more!
Art Sandusky Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 I just realized I forgot to ask off of work for the PPV this Sunday. It's too late now, and I'm not particularly upset about it. The person I feel sorry for most is Eddie.
AndrewTS Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Wow...could JD possibly get a lower buyrate than IYH 4 or 5? We might be looking at a new record here. I don't think so. Didn't those shows have Mabel/Diesel and Sid/Deisel headlining? At least Eddy is proven to be a guy people want to watch, but back then the fans didn't give two shits about either guy.
Guest sanyo Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 So the line-up is Eddie vs. JBoreL Taker squashing Booker Cena vs. Dupree Jackie vs. Chavo Haas/Gay Bastard aka Rico vs. Hard-Ass Rey/RVD vs. Dudley's WHAT!?!?! That is the worst PPV line-up ever!!! I mean who would pay $40 for this? My God if anybody order's this... I think the return of Sable against Torrie in a Tiny Teddy Match could get the horny 14 year olds to order Eddie and JBL needs to be Falls Count Anywhere to be half decent Why not? Add London vs. Akio or something so we can atleast have one good match. Cena and Dupree needs to be Torrie on a pole match. Why not thats better than nothing. Bring back Norman Smiley and have him fight a hardcore match You can do so many gay things with the Haas match its not even funny. The losing team have to kiss each other. The last thing I want though is Hardcore Holly turning Gay with Ms. Ass on his tights and dancing around like Billy Gunn. Or if Haas/Gay Bastard lose, Miss Jackie strips naked. Why not its PPV.
JoeDirt Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 I'll pay $3 to pool and watch the webcast. And that's about all I'll pay.
SamoaRowe Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 I don't know, the all around awfulness of this show has my curiosity. It sounds like it will be bad to a humorous degree. I'd pay to watch it if I had friends around to throw stuff at the tv with me.

I'd pay to watch it if I had friends around to throw stuff at the tv with me. Yeah, just find some sarcastic friends to watch the show with and insult EVERYTHING. Drink while you're doing it. It'll be fun.

Unfortunately, this is not going to happen.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 The last thing I want though is Hardcore Holly turning Gay with Ms. Ass on his tights and dancing around like Billy Gunn. Considering that four months ago Holly was in a title feud with Brock Lesnar, I think that would be really funny.
chaosrage Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Wow...could JD possibly get a lower buyrate than IYH 4 or 5? We might be looking at a new record here. I don't think so. Didn't those shows have Mabel/Diesel and Sid/Deisel headlining? IYH4 was Diesel/Bulldog and IYH5 was Bulldog/Bret. Those main events actually didn't do that bad. 0.7's and 0.8's.

IYH 4 was Diesel vs. Bulldog (.40 buyrate) IYH 5 was Bret vs. Bulldog (.30 buyrate) The other worst buyrates of all time for the WWE are: International Incident 96 (.36) It's Time - December 96 (.35) Armageddon 2003 (.40) And I think NWO 2004 is near that .40 range too. Judgment Day? I'm guessing .30 sounds about right...TOPS.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Theres a brand new video for the opening intro, it starts off with Taker and then there are lasers and stuff with all the other wrestlers. It was pretty cool although I miss the black and white stuff from the old one.
JoeDirt Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 PWI reports that they'll waste time with a Sable/Dawn Marie tiny teddy contest at the PPV. Sorry if that's already been reported. I'm surprised they didn't put Jindrak on the JD card, since they're giving him such a big push right now.
thecitythesky Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Why would Chavo have to tie his hand around his back to face Jackie? * because he's the heel. and the heel should always have a disadvantage to overcome and the odds against them. i just figured that was obvious?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 PWI reports that they'll waste time with a Sable/Dawn Marie tiny teddy contest at the PPV. They are billing it as a wrestling match right now although that could change. Side Note - Moredcai is going to be wrestling on Sunday vs someone.
Lil' Bitch Posted May 13, 2004 Report Posted May 13, 2004 Even the worst of the shows can end up being decent. (See: No Way Out 2004) I have faith in Eddie, Undertaker, and Charlie / Rico putting on enjoyable matches.

It was pretty cool although I miss the black and white stuff from the old one. Methinks this is a tactic so people believe it's a whole different show.

(See: No Way Out 2004) I have faith in Eddie, Undertaker, and Charlie / Rico putting on enjoyable matches. So do I.... But it's still not worth $35. I'm not getting JD on my own, but if my uncle and brother want to get together and split it 3 ways then I'll probably watch it.

Hmm, I like the opening the way it is now (although, I liked the 1 or 2 versions before the re-draft better [without the "Raw guys" - I'm not buying Spike as Mr. Intensity]). And nice to see they put the guy who's been on the show ~3 times in the last 6 or 7 months right up front in the intro.
