Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted June 2, 2004 Well Jeter sucks defensively, but don't go saying that to any Yankees fan. I've heard some say he was snubbed for the Gold Glove numerous times.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 It amazes me how the Os went from a crappy offense and mediocre pitching last year to one of the better offenses in the AL (league high .289 avg) and the worst pitching staff in the AL (league high 5.35 ERA). And now this game is tied at 5..

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Orioles should trade Buddy Groom for prospects They should have done that last year when he was pitching well and they could have gotten someone good in return.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted June 3, 2004 He could still net a couple prospects. Just gotta find teams out there in need of bullpen help. Like The Cubs, Athletics, etc.

Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Grrr.... Only a matter of time before Roberto Hernandez blew it. Madson coughing up the HR surprised me, though.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 It happens. No pitcher is absolutely perfect. However, you can stack the odds, and not bringing in Roberto Hernandez is a good start.

treble 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Halladay to miss second straight start SEATTLE (AP) -- Cy Young winner Roy Halladay will miss his next scheduled start for the Toronto Blue Jays with a sore right shoulder, but the injury doesn't appear to be serious. After being scratched from his start Tuesday night, the right-hander had his shoulder examined and no serious damage was found. ``We got some good news,'' Blue Jays manager Carlos Tosca said. ``He's just got some inflammation in his right shoulder. We're almost certain that he will make his following start. ``Thank God it's nothing serious.'' Halladay was 5-4 with a 3.58 ERA. Last season, he posted career highs with 36 starts, 22 wins, nine complete games, two shutouts, and 204 strikeouts. Jason Kershner pitch in Halladay's spot on Sunday at Oakland. In Kershner's first career start Tuesday night, he allowed six hits and four runs while lasting only 3 2-3 innings.
Big McLargeHuge 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Oh, good. Brett Tomko gives up 5 runs through 4 innings while the Giants' offense decides to sleep this one out. There's the team I know and love. I really, really, really, really, really, really hope Tomko is traded soon (meaning next week) or released or run out of town or ANYTHING. Get him off this team NOW! Edit: Just hit into their 59th double play of the year. I think that's right.

The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 The Red Sox had better not pull Pedro before Vlad gets up again. If they do...the Angels are screwed.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted June 3, 2004 I guess if you piss off Pedro he's willing to hit 93 and 94 on the gun.

DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Todd Zeile 5, Phillies 3....Mets sweep the series in Philly as the Todd Zeile shows takes out the Phils for the 2nd night in a row Rematch with the Marlins next What the hell is up with Zeile? For someone who's playing his last season, he's doing good. Phils shoulda brought in Madson if they wanted to win...he hadn't pitched at all in the series and he did well against the Mets last week. Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Keep flinging the insults at the Reds Bruiser, and keep watching the Cubs blow game after game after game after game after game. What insults? Their defense has been just awful the last couple of weeks. I'm not biased on the matter, just look for yourself. It's not an insult when it's the truth. Eight errors in three games isn't exactly good baseball. And I love when people think that bringing something completely unrelated is a solid counterargument. What, may I ask, do the Cubs have to do with the Reds' bad defense?
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Did anybody else laugh after Vlad hit the homer and they started showing that guy holding up a T-Shirt that said "Fear the Monkey!"? I guess Pedro was being honest when he said he was saving his stuff for later in the season, because he did hit 93-94mph on the gun. He can be the Pedro of old, just not for long. Red Sox still need another quality starter, bullpen arm, and that's it if everybody comes back from injuries.
