BoboBrazil Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 Go to nwatna.com and a popup should appear letting you choose.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 Well...if they don't win we'll certainly know this was fixed. Kid Kash and Dallas or Gilberti and Swinger just aren't going to win a legit vote against XXX.
Guest Donners Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 New Jack & Shark Boy better be an option...
slimm44 Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 If Elix/Daniels did win, Russo would come up with an excuse on the air about Daniels couldn't make it tonight. and have a rematch btwn. Kash and Dallas. Just like the Great American Award Angle on Smackdown That's just what I believe will happen
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 With a couple of new fans tuning in after watching Impact!, TNA wouldn't pull something like that. After I heard about the fan voting, Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper were the first team that came to mind and the match should be great.
Placebo Effect Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 Fuck. The popups not coming up for me. Can anyone link me?
Garth Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 http://www.tnabookings.com/impact/poll/vote.html There ya go. Now we can all vote for Elix and Daniels to our hearts content. Mwah hahahahahahha. Edit: Tried to vote again and it told me to bugger off.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 I put my vote in for XXX as well. Should be a good match. Hopefully Daniels will show up on Impact next week.
Mecha Mummy Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 You all DO realize that Daniels is injured, right? Or is the New Japan thing a work?
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 It's a work from what I've heard.
Mecha Mummy Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 On one hand, good. On the other hand, dammit, that means they gave the IWGP Jr. Tag belts to Gedo and Jado for no good reason.
Michrome Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 It is most definitely NOT a work. He is emailing friends that he seperated his shoulder. He worked last night to drop the junior tag titles...he wouldnt drop out of the biggest junior tournament in the world for some goofy angle.
tbondrage99 Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 Chock up another vote for Daniels and Skipper.
Garth Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 That really sucks if Daniels does have a seperated shoulder, one because he's a fantastic wrestler and for him to get injured, and two it means no AMW vs XXX for definate.
Mecha Mummy Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Where will Low-Ki be on Wednesday? They could replace Daniels with him, perhaps.
Guest JacK Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Yeah, that'd be pretty cool; having whoever come out before the match is about to start and announce that Daniels-Skipper won . . . but Daniels is injured so he can't be here (then everyone boos of course). Then they'd have to find some creative way to announce Low-Ki, and have Tenay go on and on about how they were in XXX together with Daniels, held the tag team belts a long time, and feuded with AMW for a long time, and how they've lost like once to AMW, and how it wasn't Skipper and Low-Ki who did lose (unless they lost to AMW again after the cage match - my memory's kind of hazy on that aspect).
TNABaddboi Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 Yeah, that'd be pretty cool; having whoever come out before the match is about to start and announce that Daniels-Skipper won . . . but Daniels is injured so he can't be here (then everyone boos of course). That would be awesome, but most likely the challengers are going to be the NYC, just to feed to AMW to establish this reign. I'm sure Siaki and Kenney will get involved to allow them to further that feud, which has got to be headed for a blow off soon and Kash and Dallas will be around too, probably to set up a rematch either on the next PPV or Impact. I think if they had planned a rematch for this week, they would have announced already because IMO, AMW vs. Kash and Dallas is more marketable than AMW vs. NYC because we know it will be a good match after Friday's show. Besides, we all they aren't going to do AMW vs. XXX without hype. And you're right, the cage match was the last AMW/XXX match and it was Daniels and Skippper defending. I don't think Low-Ki was even there that night.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 From what I heard Daniels is not injuried as it is simply the way they are explaining his hiatus(he has booked dates in US already that he has to show for) so that is the reason for the injury angle. Then again, I guess there is some possibility that he is injured.
thecitythesky Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 * not to get to much into fantasy booking the tournament... but if you look at the scheduled match-ups, and the way the blocking and points are set up as of today. Daniels' "injury" doesn't necessarily have any impact on what would've been a sensible way for New Japan to book the tournament (regarding winners, finalists, and whatnot). ... although, that may also be a coincidence. but the way they would've been "forced" into booking the remainder of the tournament hasn't been any diffferent than the way the tournament was being booked from the get-go. however, if this is legit. then that's super shitty. considering Daniels' infamous Nitro shoulder injury.
SteakGrowsOnUecker Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 I'll be on the edge of my seat for any of these matchups. That tag match on Friday wasn't all the special however.
TNABaddboi Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 I'll be on the edge of my seat for any of these matchups. That tag match on Friday wasn't all the special however. I really enjoyed the tag match on Impact. It was a nice chance of pace from the high spot matches in that it was different, but not worse. I was actually a little disappointed that they changed the titles there as I thought Kash and Dallas were coming into their own as a team and could have benefitted from a longer feud with AMW before dropping the belts to them. And it's not like they weren't over. Well, Kash was over, and Dallas benefitted from the residual heat.
Guest MikeSC Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Do they have current results of the poll on their web site? If not -- the fix is in. -=Mike
TNABaddboi Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Do they have current results of the poll on their web site? If not -- the fix is in. Nope...no results. After you vote, it just says something like join us wednesday on PPV to see your match or something like that. So yeah, it's definitely fixed. And the more I think about it, the more I think they're going with Gilberti and Swinger
Krankor Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Yes it is a fix. I wasn't very impressed with the Tag Match either. The ending was really pathetic to me. It left a bad taste in my mouth for the whole match. Losing the titles from missing a big boot and getting rolled up?? Give me a break
Magus Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Daniels isn't gonna be able to compete, so that rules out xXx. which is pretty stupid, since EVERYONE is going to vote for them, and TNA can't deliver. it was a dumb decision to do the poll when one of the teams may or may not be able to compete. now we're going to have to see either Swinger/Gilberti or a rematch against Kash/Dallas. both are decent teams, but they just don't hold a candle to Daniels/Skipper. for God's sake, can we PLEASE get some decent tag teams?????
JustJoe2k5 Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Is Low Ki still in Japan? I have a hard time keeping up with him, but if they needed to they could possibly bring him in and team him with Elix Skipper.

I'm not sure either, but I don't think they would do that until they run the angle where XXX officially reforms. They've already got them working together, with Daniels teaming with Low-Ki in the tag title tournament and then teaming with Skipper in the X Cup, so I would assume we aren't too far off from that.
